A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

[quote}My boys would love a sausage tree!

That is a strange looking tree, I've never noticed it before.

Why is it that boys get a kick out of stuff like that, the tree is just over by the Safari!

Your dinner looks good.

Let's just say, looks can be deceiving..
.

The original story was funny but this had me :rotfl2:
I thought is was pretty funny too!:rotfl:

The table setting looks lovely. So sorry your meal didn't match the decor. I hope breakfast turns out better.
Yep, the food was pretty much a wash for me, but breakfast was much, much better!

Hey! Thanks for waiting for me - I've been kidnapped by Twitter for a couple of days. Trying to figure it out for a class I'm taking on Social Networking - it should just all work like the DIS! OK, I'm here - you can post another update! :rotfl2:

As you can see, you were just in time!

I'm the one trudging in our group because of the bum leg, so I know the feeling. Just be glad it's not a constant issue for you!
I feel just awful about your knee, the only issue I had was the heat and the 20 extra lbs I am lugging around at the moment...:sad2:

I was standing right at that fountain a couple of days ago taking pictures. I have decided to do a collage picture frame of Disney water features - fountains, waterfalls, etc. - kind of like the one I did of Disney flowers last summer.
I can't wait to read your trip report, I just know its going to be filled to the brim with all of your Disney magic!

I know I've missed a lot on your report and others this week. I will have my work cut out for me catching up when we get back!
Feel free to use the cheat links to catch up on mine, it felt like it took forever to catch up after our Vegas trip. The house always suffers when I get behind on my DISing.

We arrived at Magic Kingdom and went straight to BTMRR to grab up some fast passes. We saw this on the way so I got a few pictues!

488.jpg

489.jpg

I was most tickled that my friend from breakfast had come over with us!

494.jpg

After getting our BTMRR fast passes Baylor requested a visit to Toontown, so we hopped the train and in no time at all we were there. First up was Mickey's house.

496.jpg

Baylor being the sports nut that he is just loves this room!

497.jpg

498.jpg

Someone needs to inform Mickey that Pluto's bed shouldn't be so close to an electric outlet, you never know what that crazy dog might decide to chew on!

500.jpg

A guy has to have his remote, and Mickey is no different!

499.jpg

Again I'm a bit disturbed by the electric cord situation in here...:lmao:

502.jpg

Sometimes I feel like my kitchen looks much like this... well without the electric cord hazards...
It's going to be worse when I start scraping off the wallpaper in my kitchen!

503.jpg

Again, Baylor is so happy that his main mouse is a sports fan just like him!

506.jpg

BUT Baylor was a little disturbed by his best bud Donald's poor showing in the ping pong tournament!

507.jpg

Cont. in next post...

Continuing on through Mickeys yard we saw Pluto's dog house. I'm wondering why it's seems to be half buried in the ground...

508.jpg

509.jpg

I just love the gardens in Toontown...

510.jpg

511.jpg

512.jpg

We were so impressed by Mickey's organizational skills in the garage, maybe that's why the kitchen is in such a mess, he has been working in the garage!

513.jpg

514.jpg

I have a porch swing hanging in my garage too, I need to take a picture of it...:rotfl:

515.jpg

516.jpg

517.jpg

We say good bye to Mickey's house...

518.jpg

and say hello to Minnie's!

519.jpg

Minnie's house is very pretty!

520.jpg

521.jpg

523.jpg

Time for some pictures of us perching on Minnie's chair, well I was perching or so it seems....

526.jpg

Baylor and Marc in their usual fashion were much more relaxed...

527.jpg

528.jpg

Another light fixture for LL!

531.jpg

Minnie's family pics!

530.jpg

532.jpg

Baylor and the vase, I wonder what it would have looked like if he had made it?

533.jpg

535.jpg

Minnie is such a talented artist! She is crafty too!

534.jpg

536.jpg

537.jpg

539.jpg

Minnie is organized as well, just look at her bulletin board and phone area!

540.jpg

541.jpg

The kitchen was busy with little girls so we moved on out to back porch, I was in search of the secret to Minnie's green thumb...

542.jpg

544.jpg

543.jpg

545.jpg

OK, now I think I have all her secrets!

546.jpg

She sure has a pretty garden!

547.jpg

Uh lady! That's Tweety! Wrong park!

548.jpg

After Minnie's house we hopped back on the train, it was time for us to ride BTMRR, as we were approaching the Main Street station, I asked the guys if they would mind making the round of the park just one more time while I hopped off and ran into the Emporium to look for my Mickey fit flops. They were hot so were happy to oblige me. Off I went but got stopped by the parade..... I was worried that I wouldn't have time to complete my mission. After the parade I hurried over and score! They had them in my size....
I made it back to the train just as they were pulling in. I jumped on and we were off to ride BTMRR.
After our ride we decided to go back to the Beach Club for a swim...
but did we make it to SAB....

I can't believe I've never gone into Mickey & Minnie's houses. There's always been a line and my kids didn't want to wait....Well, next time they're going to go wether they like it or not!

The Mad Hatter is one of my favorite characters to meet just for the interaction!

Whew, GF redeemed itself. What fun breakfast companions.:goodvibes That mad hatter, what a scamp. I love the picture of Baylor right before Alice made it over. Are his cheeks red?

We like Minnie's house better than Mickey's, even though we love Mickey. I think because there's more to touch in Minnie's house.

What a great breakfast! I love your top too - it's one you made?

That first pic cracked me up! The poor guy can't see! His costume is a hazard!

And there is Mr. Incredible and his Mardi Gras beads...!

VERY nice touring there, very slick! And glad you found them in your size! :thumbsup2

Wow. That is disturbing.

Oh yes, drag them in! We've never had a line in there just sometimes a few people infringing on our privacy!:lmao:

The Mad Hatter is one of my favorite characters to meet just for the interaction!
He was quite funny!

Yes, our breakfast was quite tasty! The Mad Hatter really knows how to put on a show! Baylor was making quite a face, perhaps a little Snidely Whiplash...;)

We like Minnie's house better than Mickey's, even though we love Mickey. I think because there's more to touch in Minnie's house.
Very true, it's fun to look in Mickey's house but it's fun to do in Minnie's!:cutie:

Lovely :rolleyes1
What a great breakfast! I love your top too - it's one you made?
I did make it, and the back has a design too... I got it from Lady Lallie!

LOL, I had never noticed that his streamer was in front of his face. That would be a bit of a fall if he tripped!
Mr. Incredible wears those beads well, doesn't he
.:rotfl2:

I was glad to find them too, I got them in bronze, the only trouble was, I wanted the black ones too....:sad2:

Wow. That is disturbing.

Isn't it comforting to know that we can count on Shocker for a little disturbance?

I love Minnie and Mickey's houses. They crack me up, although I wish Mickey would finally finish his kitchen already....

What are Mickey Fit Flops? I'm lost.

I must have missed the sausage tree comment, but that picture IS disturbing.

Great update!!! I just love visiting and looking at all of the really cool things Toontown has to offer!! I just love walking in the houses and playing with the different items!!

The Mad Hatter is such a hoot! I loved reading about his interaction with you guys!!!

Glad you were able to meet up with Mary Poppins!!!

He does seem to be taking his sweet time getting that kitchen done!

They are a type of flip flop that claim to shape and tone your legs. I had seen them at home but without the Mickey insignia. I'll post pics when I find them...

The sausage tree was just outside of the entry to the safari in AK. I thought someone might know the actual name for it.:rotfl:

I love Toontown too, it wasn't super crowded when we were there so we had some great luck taking pictures without feeling like we were holding others up.

The Mad Hatter is such a hoot! I loved reading about his interaction with you guys!!!

Glad you were able to meet up with Mary Poppins!!!
It was fun meeting up with both of them, Mary was so patient with the Mad Hatter....;)

You can tell you tour with a big kid... my kids move too much to snap so many detailed pictures.

Your 1900 breakfast looks so great, we need to get there sometime. We did dinner during a remodel, so we have not even ate at the right location.

I'm 5 days behind, but I just had to comment that your "Toting the bag" photos are amazing! I am so inspired to take good AK pictures next trip. I love that one with all the flags. Where is that?

You know, just in case the thing with the Stepsister doesn't work out, Chelsea eats bacon the way Baylor does...:rolleyes1

I love the Mad Hatter -- when we had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in 2007, he was the highlight for me -- the kids were wearing their Mickey ears, and he had a field day with their choice in hats! :lmao:

Every single time I see Mr. Incredible and his Mardi Gras beads I have to laugh!

I have that exact picture of Minnie's bulletin board -- I want one just like it!

We will be stepping lively in December with Harper!

You really would have a great time! Both meals are so much fun.:goodvibes

The toting of the bags was inspired by a picture CP took of Connor last summer and the teasing I've been taking from BD about my bags. It was fun hunting for all of the photo ops in AK!
The flags are in the Maharajah Jungle Trek. I love that picture too!
You know, just in case the thing with the Stepsister doesn't work out, Chelsea eats bacon the way Baylor does...
I need to send you a Paula Deen bacon crisps recipe for Chelsea, Baylor loves it! Chelsea and Baylor, breakfast buffets watch out!:rotfl2:

I'll bet he asked them some interesting questions about their ears. Where do they come up with those off the cuff comments? I was so darn excited to meet him! I love the characters from Alice in Wonderland, I still need to meet the Queen of Hearts and the March Hare. We met the Tweedles in 2006!

Every single time I see Mr. Incredible and his Mardi Gras beads I have to laugh!
So do the beads mean he's ready to celebrate? I guess he doesn't wear then any other time...:lmao:

I have that exact picture of Minnie's bulletin board -- I want one just like it!
Me too! Mine isn't nearly as neat as Minnie's.

We got back to Beach Club and it was raining so no SAB for us. We headed up to our room and Baylor turned on the television to watch a little Stacy...
Shocker and I decided that we needed a snack so he decided to do a little cooking...

549.jpg

550.jpg

We had these great sun dried tomato brats. They were great, even without buns! We didn't fill up because we had ressies at O'hana later. It was going to be Baylor's first time at the "meat fest".

After our snack we all took naps, it really felt good to cover up in that cold room and fall asleep.

We woke up and got ready for our trip over to the Poly, our ressie was for 7:20 so we needed to be at the bus stop by 6:15. Took the bus to MK then the monorail over to the Poly. It rained on us as we walked to the monorail. We were hoping to see Wishes from the beach after dinner but at this point we decided to be flexible with those plans.

We got to O'hana with time to spare so we shopped in both gift shops, then our buzzer, buzzed and we were seated.
Out came the bread...

551.jpg

Picked our ice for the last cube standing game...

552.jpg

Next was the salad, yummm, love the dressing.

553.jpg

Sauces for the meat.

554.jpg

The potstickers, another yummo in my opinion.

556.jpg

BBQ chicken wings, a bit messy for me but Baylor loved them!

557.jpg

Brocolli and snowpeas, mmmmmmm.

558.jpg

Lo Mein noodles, I hear the potatoes were better... but we haven't ever had the potatoes...

559.jpg

Then the meat started coming, and coming.... this is turkey.

560.jpg

Steak.

562.jpg

And my favorite, the shrimp!

563.jpg

Baylor was getting up to do some napkin twirling and did not want to be photographed.
:confused3

564.jpg

I took pictures anyway!:goodvibes

565.jpg

Baylor also attempted the hula and he and I did the couples slow dance. Somewhere this is on video...

We returned to the table looking very festive.

567.jpg

568.jpg

569.jpg

Last but not least was the Bread Pudding for Marc and I, they brought Ice Cream for Baylor. I don't understand this, because we were paying an adult price for him to eat this meal and they brought him the kids dessert. We all shared...

571.jpg

572.jpg

After dinner is was still sprinkling so we decided to catch the bus and go to DTD. Well, the bus was rather slow in coming. I guess guests at the Poly must rent cars or just take the monorail. We must have waited at least 30 minutes. We got to DTD and saw these...

573.jpg

I put Ashton away because it was starting to rain and I forgot to take it out again. I was on the trail of the Mickey fit flops in black... We went to TrenD and they had them but we couldn't get our DVC discount there so I decided to look at WOD, I was in luck, they had them so I got my second pair with the 10% discount! The only thing I was left looking for at this point was the Mickey Bar Bag and the "I'm surrounded by idiots" button....
We dropped by Goofy's on our way back to the bus for some snacks. Caught the bus and were back at the Beach Club in no time at all. I tossed in some laundry, logged on to the DIS for a bit then were off to bed.

Up next: Hoping for a little SAB but would the weather coop
erate?

What a nice afternoon and evening even with the rain and no SAB -- snack, nap, Ohana's, and shopping -- sounds just lovely to me! :thumbsup2

Yum, Yum, and Yum! Your dinner looked so good.

Sorry the weather didn't cooperate. :( I looked up the Fit Flops and those look nice. I can already hear my DH saying "Not another pair of shoes!"

OK...O'Hana's is going on my list! My mouth was watering looking at all that delicious food!
