A Ton! Of reservations just opened up Nov-Dec!

I called while the system was still down earlier and was also assured that anything I had a confirmation for was good to go. CM wouldn’t speculate on whether capacity was increasing or that the availability had been held back... just that things are constantly changing.

Poor Phone CMs! Technical glitch not their fault, and they are now the point of contact for the chaos of resolution. I'm not a very patient person, but I'm going to give it all I've got to just chill for a bit... :smooth:

No. It’ll be down probably the rest of the day, if not longer, while they sort this out.

And remember, nothing you are told on the phone by a call center rep will 100% be honored by Disney. More than likely, Disney will just blanket cancel all of these reservations today unfortunately.

Yes. Please try not to call. Disney is advising their CMs to not access the reservation system while IT is working on this. So by calling you are only going to prolong the issue. Phone center CMs won’t know any more than us at this point.

Of course they have a right to call, I’m just pointing out that nothing can or will be resolved right now. The entire reservation computer system is offline for guests and CMs, and the phone center CMs know no more than us right now. Best course of action is going to be to wait a day or so and see what statements Disney puts out.

Yes, the statement said they would try after looking into the situation. Apparently the system updated overnight and this morning dining locations opened up from just under 50% capacity to 100% capacity. If some of those restaurants booked to 100% in the short time ADRs were open this morning, there is NO way Disney can honor them all. It’s going to be a case by case basis and I bet Disney will take into account whether people cancelled other reservations to make new ones. But not all reservations are going to be kept. It’s just impossible.

I can obviously wait to call because I'm not going for a while, but there are a fair amount of people who these reservations start tomorrow already for.

I'm honestly curious how many people were actually able to book given the time frame of it all.
 
Dealing with them on a case by case basis sounds like it’s going to take forever! I have 2 ADRs per day for Thanksgiving week and Christmas week, and almost all of them were tweaked this morning. I can’t imagine how long it would take for them to assess each individual time slot/restaurant....which is why my money is on them cancelling them all (leaving me with QS, I guess).
