A Ton! Of reservations just opened up Nov-Dec!

Ugh...not a great day to decide that we are keeping our New Years trip (that I had fully intended to cancel) due to our son's college schedule changing. Now I wonder if there will be any ADRs left when they open up reservations again :headache:

Reservation system not working for me! It’s frustrating 😡. Cant cancel, view or make dining reservations.

Okay just got off the phone! The CM I talked to didn’t think the extra dining reservations released was a glitch- the system itself just went down and is currently being worked on. I asked specifically about the possibility of reservations being cancelled and she put me on hold to ask a supervisor and she came back on and told me not to worry, that as long as I have the confirmation email and the dining reservation is also showing up in the app then I’m good to go. She did recommend taking screenshots if for some reason you don’t have an email. She recommend if I have any issues to call back. But overall, she was confident that I should not worry. She also mentioned she did a few reservations over the phone before the system went down for those newly released times.

So looks like they likely increased restaurant capacity and that’s why we saw so many additional dining reservations released."

I don't thinking letting the reservations made stand is that crazy of an idea. We're rather a small group of people in the grand scheme of Disney who managed to make reservations over those few hours and we're spread out over a 60 day period.

Um, you do realize the sudden ADR openings were noted in various Disney blogs, reddit, and a bunch of other places?

While we are a small group, if they released full bookings... some restaurants booked out everything in those 3 hours. It wasn’t just us on this board that got notifications. They can’t sit full restaurants. If they let the reservations stand they’ll break all social distancing for many of them.

So if they basically doubled capacity.. that’s not a good thing. We’ll have to reconsider if we do any indoor dining at all. But at least it will save us a lot of money on our trip. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I saw this article and it says WDW “made a statement,” but where is said statement??

I commented on their blog post asking the same question... where was the "statement" made?

Hmmm.... I just got a dining alert (hadn't gotten any since Disney shut the system down). So for giggles, I clicked through to see how far I could get, and it let me reserve it....

I would really hope they can roll back and not wipe. 🤯
I have zero confidence in the ability of their IT dept to do that.

WDWNT says "If you were able to book a dining reservation this morning, Walt Disney World is currently evaluating these reservations to see if table-service locations can accommodate guests within the established capacity limits" sounds like it's gonna be a manual review of all locations.

I’m seeing it up again, but the openings are similar to what was open yesterday.

I am still getting “sorry for the paws”
I wonder how long they need to evaluate..I made these reservations for tomorrow for my daughter’s 21st birthday..we need to know what is going on..

I was just able to make reservations through the app. When the pop up box directed me to the Disney World website, I just dismissed it every time and I was able to get most of the reservations I wanted with confirmation numbers and emails. We’ll see!

was availability back to normal or were a bunch of options available? Also which restaurant?

Wow.... I hope they don't cancel I had great reservations and let them go to make a new one. I don't hold on to reservations I don't need so that others can get a reservation :-(
