We leave next Sunday for our 4 day Wonder cruise, I need to know...

1) When and where can I get chocolate milk. My DD 2 lives off the stuff. Is it available at the breakfast buffet? Can I take some cartons with me and put them in our room? Is it available on deck 9? Do I need to carry the nestle quik in my bag?(Ha) Will the milk stay cold enough in the little cooler in the room without spoiling?

2) How big is the fridge (cooler) in the room? How much will it hold. I was thinking of bringing some water, and some coke cans to put in it.

3) What drinks are available at the beverage station on deck 9?

That's all I can think of right now, I'm sure I'll come up with a million more questions before next Friday when we leave. Thanks, Erin

First of All.RELAX and have a great time.
For your first question, I beleive tht Chocolate milk was available at every Dining room. As for the station on deck 9. It has coffee milk and tea. White milk only. My suggestion would be to bring some of the Squeeze Chocolate syrup with you in Small travel sized squeeze bottles (The sample sizes ones like for Dish soap or shampoo) that way you can use the small bottle per glass of milk and Throw it away. No fuss no mess.

The refrig....Cooler is not very large and does not get very cool, Unless you place something frozen in the cooler, which makes the usable space even smaller. The cooler might hold 3 six packs of Sodas with nothing else in the cooler.

Suggestion #1 Pack a colapsable cooler in you luggage and have the Cabin steward fill/drain with Ice daily. They do this automatically if you leave it out and filled with either soda or beer...OR MILK.

Sugestion #2 Bring in the same suitcase you sodas or whatever you think you would drink a lot of. That way they are not so abvious and don't take up precious packing room in the first suitcase.

Suggestion #3 HAVE FUN on your cruise. Remember that is why you are here in the first place

You can order chocolate milk FREE from room service 24 hours a day. PLUS it is available in cartons on the buffets in topsiders at both breakfast and lunch.

The water you can get at the beverage station is as good as you can purchase anywhere. You may want to bring a sipper bottle and keep it filled with ice and water.

At the beverage station on deck 9 aft you can also get a package of instant hot chocolate mix, I think it was Nestle's brand.

They have cold filtered water and shaved ice, they have regular and decaf brewed coffee, they have hot water, and they have cold milk. Most people are very satisfied with the taste of the water.

Near the hot water, they have various tea bags as well as instant hot chocolate mix. They have sugar, and the pink and the blue sugar substitutes, and they have the small packets of liquid creamer. They have sturdy throw away cups with plastic lids and stirrers and napkins.

I have been on 4 DCL cruises with 3 of them on the Wonder and the small cooler / refrig in the cabins has been enough to keep beverages cool enough to drink. We have put cartons of milk and cups of yogurt in there and they've been fine for days. We have also put cans of soda and bottles of water and they have cooled down after the first night.

hope that helps

I called room sevice at night and asked them for 2 containers of milk (for my daughter) and 2 cookies (for me and my mom) and then just gave her one of the milks in her bottle that night and the other I kept in the ice bucket with the ice for the morning. I know I could go up on deck and get the milk there too for free but for a 2.00 tip I can sit in the room and have them bring it to me. I ordered chicken tenders from room service for my daughter too one night, she got hungry after nap and before dinner, and I had them bring up milk thenthat I kept in the ice bucke but with that I gave a bigger tip than 2 bucks....

As far as the water goes, it is nice to have a few bottles. I bought the really small ones. They were nice to have in the cabin, for sudden thirst attacks, and we took them to the islands with us. We packed some in a cooler for CC and they came in very handy after snorkeling. I found that I was very dry after snorkeling and the water was great. The beverage station was fine if I was out and about.
