This is just a random selection of some 900 on this laptop now. It was a fantastic cruise.

Better put in a request for summer 2009!

If they do a Med in 2009 we definately want to go! We felt like 6dd was too young to withstand all of our site seeing. :) We knew several of the stops were not stroller friendly..... And she is way too small do all of that walking! LOL!

Andrew, thank you for sharing with us. Somehow seeing pictures seems to make the time until next summer go a little faster. I guess i've never thought of doing Europe by ship...

We went when I was 12 & did the "if this is Tuesday, we must be in Belgium" tour for 3 weeks (Amsterdam, Paris, Nice, Florance, Rome, Pisa, Venice, Munich, Zurich, Copenhagen, London). I think the longest we were anywhere was Venice (3 days). It was good to get the exposure, but I felt rushed through each city. I think if I do it again, I'd like to do several trips & spend a little more time in each place.

One of the things on my list is to rent a canal boat & boat through England (of course, there are a lot of other things on that list).

For those who sent well wishes, thank you. My interview went well, and I have a second interview scheduled for next Wednesday - I'm just not sure that this is the place to jump ship for. It would be almost the same salary as I'm making now, but much more inconvenient to get to & expensive to park or take public transit... Still thinking about it, but I do have limits.

Captain said, nothing is confirmed as yet, but

1/ They will go back to the Med, no date/year, but it was a great success.

2/ He suggested Northern Europe!

It was great England on boat will be good, a couple of weeks back you could have gone anywhere in England by boat.

Let me know how it is!!!!! I was looking into the same ABD but just thought it was too expensive. The adult pricing isnt so bad, but the child rate wasnt much less.

I will! We booked last November so we got the early booking discount. I know for some of them earlier this summer they had a pay for an adult and get a child free -- or something like that!

Andrew-------that ice cream looked sooooooooooo gooooooooood, thanks for the pics, now I might have to run out and get some ice cream for dessert tonight...........:lmao:

Andrew - Thanks for sharing your pictures. Your trip looks amazing. I wish we could have gone, but my husband only wants to go to Europe when he has a month or more (so it looks like that trip will be years away for us:hourglass )

I saw pictures and heard stories from friends who went in June. They had issues with flights getting there, but once they were on board the Magic, they had an incredible time. It was great to hear their stories. If you have any stories, favorite places you enjoyed, share them. I am sure we would love to hear them.

Andrew:

Thank you sooo much for sharing all of your pictures! You took wonderful pics and your family is lovely!

I loved the pictures! thanks so much for sharing them!!

Interesting about serving "palo" to the kids in Animators- My kids would probably love that!

If they do med in 2009- we'd probably "try" to go but as expensive as it would be (for the flights/etc.) I'm not sure we'd have enough time from the 2008 cruise to that cruise to save up the money for it!

I really wish we could go on the trans-atlantic cruise that's so cheap right now- atleast it would be if it was only DH and myself. (even though I don't like the thought of going on a disney cruise without the kids- personal choice... no flames please!) It's incredibly cheap now for cat 12 -but the cruise is so long that it would interfere with the beginning of school. My sister would PROBABLY watch the kids for us to go on the cruise but there's no way she could handle them starting school the last few days of our cruise- she doesn't even live in the same town as us! :( So tempting though.
But my gosh the flight to Barcelona is MORE than the entire 14 day cruise with Disney costs! (and that's really saying something isn't it LOL)

*sigh* Would have been nice...

Sarangel - Have you ever read a book called "And a Right Good Crew" by Emily Kimbrough? I think this book is one of the reasons I have always wanted to tour England by canal! The author and a group of friends took a canal trip (I think in the 50's) and this book is just a humourous account of the trip.

Pamela (pdarrah)

Sarah glad your interview went well. Andrew loved all the pics! It looks like you all had great weather and lots of fun--there is so much to see......................I would love to go one day.:goodvibes

Pamela, you can call me Sara (like everyone else does). I haven't read the book, but my dad went a couple of years ago with his wife & a couple of friends and it sounded like a blast. I'm thinking of going sometime when my DD is older and a little more able to appreciate the trip.

Pictures,we want Pictures :lmao:

YOU might... I don't know that I'm that adventureous. Bubbles is scary enough as a toon, I'm not sure I could face a real one. :rotfl: :scared1:

Man it's quiet tonight...

Maybe there will be someone in chat after I put DD to bed
