Thanks for all the suggestions on medical forms. I found one that I think will work. I don't remember who to thank because I got several suggestions. The one I'm going with actually grants temporary guardianship. I was hoping to be able to get it signed while at work today since we have a notary on site, but the form needs my friend's signature too. I'm not going into the office tomorrow, so now I'll have to find a notary and pay for it...oh well.
We've had cable high speed for a about four years and really like it but I am drooling over the new Fiber Optic Service (FiOS). It is supposed to be several times faster than cable internet service.![]()
G'mornin's
Have I mentioned how much I HATE unpacking? I think I would be done if life didn't get in the way! It would be nice to put everything else on hold until we were unpacked, but I have to pack lunches, get the kids to 2 different camps, clean bathrooms, cook dinner, pick the kids up, find after school care, walk the dog, etc., etc. What a pain. I am going to ignore the boxes today and hang pictures. A house really starts to feel like our home once we get the pictures up.
Laura, I wish I had your sewing talent. I can't seem to find kitchen curtains that are not hideously ugly (or hideously expensive!). Have I mentioned before that I hate spending $$ on curtains? I wouldn't mind if they were going to be up for a long time, then I would pay someone like you to make exactly what I want. The problem is, even the store-bought ones always seem like a lot of $ to spend on something that is only good for 3 years. I think we should get a "curtain allowance" with our move money - hey, the govt. spends our tax dollars on dumber things. Oh well, rant over.
You see Brack, we are all just in denial about you not coming on TOAL.
Most credit unions and some banks will notarize things for free if you are a members or customer.

Where can you find a pirate who has lost his wooden legs?
Right where you left him.
M this is just so wrong to see you posting at 3:45am.Glad to hear that you are settling in, slowly but surely.
Doubt I'll make it to 2 a.m. EDT during chat anymore either...
That was much easier when it was only 10 p.m. my time!
OK, off to attempt to hook up our wireless network. If you see me chat it means I was successful and didn't throw either of the computers out the 2nd story window!

I'm glad you found something that will work, Monica. And when you think about it $20.00 for 2 signatures is nothing for the peace of mind you'll get by knowing this is taken care of. Have a great trip. We expect you to tell us all about it when you get back.
M, I'm sorry you're still in unpacking h*e*double-toothpicks. I always figure on 6 months to really settle into a house - it takes a while to figure out where all the furniture wants to live and how the traffic flows. You'll make it. And in one year & one week, we'll all be getting ready to leave for our TOAL.
Anyone who has good wishes to spare, think good thoughts for me today. I'm going on a job interview that I hope will make things easier for my family.
Sounds like you're having one of those weeks. Hope your rash is better.
