This is my story and I am sticking to it:

I only "need" to buy stuff in Cartagena and Aruba, because I've been to the other ports. Yeah, uh huh.....and DH fell for that.....;)

Yeah, but, there is always NEW and IMPROVED stuff in every port . .to buy :)

I've already been working on DH about a pretty emerald in Cartegena. The thoughts of wondering in a Columbian city still makes me uncomfortable though . . .:upsidedow

Alicia has a set "routine"...

... she packs soft sided cargo bags packed empty and folded flat in our regular bags - "just in case" we need 'em. Wanna guess how often THAT is?

Sounds like a smart and experienced wife !

I've done that when we have the whole family and are allowed 8 bags on the airplane. But this time, it's just me...only two bags and a weight limit!
I wonder how many souvenir t-shirts I can wear onto the plane??

I'm hoping to get one, too...even if it's just a small one to say I got it there. I think we'll be safe in the shops near the port...I'm not worried about that at all. As long as it's daylight.

My DH is getting off easy, I don't really care for emeralds so they aren't on our list of things to get.

Funny you should say that because I was mentioning the RCCL cruise to my DH the other day & he was not too keen on the idea....at first. Anyway he seriously thought I was mad about it so suddenly he was asking me to book it. Even though I wasn't upset at all, since I realize that we are spending a lot of money for this PC cruise & I wasn't going to push the issue. I guess he thought I was giving him the silent treatment! Even though he likes to tease me, he really is a great DH! :lovestruc I'm sure your DW feels the same about you! ;)

If I could only be SURE of that ... sometimes. She's a tough customer to please sometimes...

OK... I better go now before someone turns me in fer hinting the un-hintable.

Remember... I am the true INNOCENT one here, right?

;)

... cuz in our home I don't own a whip or leesh n' collar!

Hey Paula...

Have ya used your Dockers free FLIGHT redemption card yet?

As a matter of fact, I have them filled out to send in. Have to erase my 1st choice as I think it is is to close for them or I may just leave it--March 6th. I put in for Vegas, Miami or Orlando just for a short 3 night stay. Trying to work around school days and they still haven't set Adam's graduation date yet. :)
Hope you get your choice................I sure hope they send me out of our airport:scared1:

I do the same thing--or my large suitcase with my medium packed inside. If I buy anything large in the ports--I ship it home from there.

Just stopping by to say hello!

Aren't ya glad Monday is just about over!

Chrissie

Even gladder (is that a word?) that i have off tomorrow. Hope the weather holds out...

Plans for tomorrow...

Vote / Gym / Taxes.... Most likely in that order...

I saw this one I liked - Oneder

Oh the "OH-KNEE-DER" :lmao: (like in "That thing you do")

I bought one of those portable luggage scales--just so I can make sure our bags are gonna be within the limit. If anyone wants to borrow it my room # is GTY!:)

I got one of those a couple of years ago - worked great on my last couple of trips.

She's in the Parade of Dreams at DL.

I like TNK ISH better. TINK SH makes me think of something else for the SH. :rolleyes1

Good point!

Thanks for the pic. Look there's Tink!

Another reason to invest in some of the group t-s**** that esteri is working on!

Yes, Tom. It's an investment!

We saw the Caps play last week in Columbus...I have Ovechkin envy.

So does everyone else in the league. The guy is amazing and by all accounts a pretty good guy. That's always refreshing to see.

I have it on good authority that she'll be flying high over Puerto Vallarta in August dressed as Tinkerbell.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :TINK:

Yeah those pirate boots alone take up alot of room. Luckily i get a long skirt so I'm thinking just a simple pair of heels will do. (since you won't see them)

We are pirates from the ankles up. I wore flip flops to dinner.

I was stopping everyday on my way to work and spending almost $5 on my Venti Caramel machiotto(?). Now I fix a pot of coffee at home and use my tink coffee travel mug from my secret Mickey.:goodvibes

Gosh, Paula. I would think the evil boss lady would let you drink the coffee in the store. :)

After seeing the replays of Zednik getting slashed last night, I don't envy any hockey players any more.

You know, of all the hockey equipment my kids put on several times a week, the thing they complain about most is the stupid neck guard. It is small, it is flexible, it isn't tight, but they compain about it every time. The whole purpose of the thing is to protect the neck from cuts - it's really just reinforced fabric and wouldn't be any use in a collision.

Well, we watched the clip. I don't think I'll hear any neck guard complaints anytime soon. Teachable moment.

My DS7 loves the adult food. Had the escargot last time we cruised. Last year he kept asking me if I would make the "flaming ya" on the grill again. Took me a while to figure it out, now it's our inside joke.

Flaming ya! Yum.

The most memorable vanity plate I saw was on a Geo metro. It said "Ugly Geo":lmao:

Long story short, I drove a $4000 car for 2 years when I was in grad school (in my 30's). I wanted a plate that said TEMP

I'm stock piling the thread bare socks for the cruise, wear 'em & toss 'em.

Better yet, don't wear socks!
I save room by eliminating sleeves and socks from my wardrobe.

I get a lot of other Moms telling me "Isn't that the truth!". Mine is 2NFROM.

Cute!
One of the hockey moms has RINKTAXI

I do that too.

I like that one...

We first went to WDW in 04 and son was just turning 5. DS would say wheres that mouse! He was so excited about going and his trip he told everyone I went to Dis A knee <-- that would be the pronounciation.

So I did my plates online and it worked fin - got them and they dropped a letter DIZAKNE - was thinking about changing then this year ... but it grew on me....

I saw this one I liked - Oneder

Did you ever see the movie "That Thing You Do"? The group was called the Oneders (pronounced Wonders) but the kept getting called the "O-Needers" :rotfl2:

Can we just sail NOW? I'm ready to leave for a 3 week vacation now . . just too much to do here and it would still be here when I get back anyway. Anyone else game . . we could just commendeer the ship NOW . . .

WHO IS WITH ME????pirate::cool2:

I'll go!

Oh she does, our store has great coffee too! Also the great cold cow machine for the cream. I sample it all day to make sure it is good and fresh;)

FOr what its' worth... I can easily assume the RENT for the dealer at the OAKS MALL has got to be higher then the FIrestone I ended up at. So hat might explain why the MALL location was driven to what appear to be creative revenue enhancement tactics.

Overhead does make a difference! I know that for a fact,:)
