Yes, I am sure they do. It is just hard to pack for 24 nights:scared1:

It finally started snowing here--they are saying we might get up to 8" now--Yuck! I would be very content with an inch or 2 though.

No - we paid in full months ago & we're still gty. I'm trying to pursuade myself it's because we'll get an upgrade LOL!!!!!

Now, wouldn't that be nice:goodvibes

Yep, you got it on the first try . .. I get some interesting questions on mine as well . . but isn't that the point of the vanity plates? To have strangers come up and ask you questions . . .LOL

True story, not long after getting my vanity plate I was on my way to work one morning when I realized that a car was following me. Didn't matter what I did, sped up, slowed down, turned, etc., that car was on me like glue. I began to get a bit worried so I decided to make a stop before I got to work to see what this person would do. I pulled over at the post office and got out of my car to head inside when the person who was following me suddenly jumped out of their car, ran up to me and said "I've been following you for a couple of miles - I just have to know, are you a member of the Disney family?"

Just keep as much of that white stuff down south with you, please!

There is no way that I can't come to work the next couple of days - our accountants are here to do the year end close, financials and corporate taxes, any time that I'm not here means that much longer that they are (is it Friday yet?)

they were probably hoping for some free park tickets:)

Oh my! I would've been freaked out, but that is hysterical! :lmao:

Not yet, but it is getting closer:rolleyes1 . Good luck getting it all done:goodvibes

Hi Everyone! Busy day at the office, but when I picked up DS to take him to his step-dance lesson, he wasnt' feeling well  and asked to just go home and go to bed :scared1: Of course, his usual pattern when he is sick like this is to take a 3 or 4 hour nap and wake up totally healthy - I wish I had his imune system! He is sound asleep, so I have had some time for ketchup.

Pamela, you've got a real special kid when he states his fav food is artichokes. But, then again, this is the only green food that my kid would eat for years. He's just recently discovered that he does like veggies.

DS loves most veggies (except squash) but has really loved artichokes since he was about 2. They recently did a food pyramid unit at school and went around the class telling their favorite veggies. He said half the kids didn't know what an artichoke was and the other half thought it was totally gross! He is really good about trying foods and loves things that are spicy and flavorful. He started eating hot-sauce when he was about 6 months old  - DH & I were eating hot-wings and he kept trying to reach into our food, DH finally let him take a fingerful of sauce thinking that would stop him - instead he licked it off and came back for more! :lmao:

He can dine with my DS7. His meal request for his birthday since he turned 5has been clam chowder and roasted acorn squash. Four was "roast beef chicken". It took me about a week to figure out what he wanted! He turned 4 two months after our first DCL & he had eaten the adult menu roasted chicken several times - roast beef chicken!.

Your DS eats something mine won't! He absoutely abhors squash. He can even detect it in small quantities hidden in a casserole. I love acorn squash, but since neither DS or DH will eat it, I don't get it very often - just seems like too much effort to make it for just me...

Kids, 9&11 at time of. Cruise, growing like weeds. Will NOT get tuxes for them. Will probably just do blue. Blazers for them.

I will probably get a tux on ebay for DS, even though he is growing like a weed lately. He doesn't own a suit or jacket right now and there really isn't any other event he will need one for in the next year. Since I am going to have to buy something anyway, it may as well be a tux so he can have fun dressing like dad. DH owns a tux since he needs one twice per year for choir concerts.

I do not know how people get used to typing on laptops. I am a bad typist to begin with and this tiny keyboard is awful. I do not bother to drag my USB keyboard in if I am only going to be in the office for 1 day. If I am this bad on LP I am never going to try to postfrom my IPhone. :)

I so agree about typing on laptops! :thumbsup2 Our main downstairs computer is a laptop, so I do it - but I make a LOT more mistakes. I touch type (fairly fast) and it is just so frustrating having to stop and correct all the time. I really like the "split-style" keyboards and have that at the office and 1 of the home PCs - but the other 2 PC's have standard keyboards and the laptop has its silly sub-size keyboard - so I am always having to adjust.

Pamela

Happy Birthday Andy!!!!

pirate: ing to say

Happy Birthday Andy!

11 pm Central
10 pm Mountain

(gosh, I fell like a television announcer)

My DS8 used to ask things like,
"Can I stay up to watch this new show that's on a 8 o'clock 7 central?"

As a Lenten activity, I had several of my 7th grade PSR students over last night to watch Passion of the Christ, and then we had a group discussion for a couple of hours. It was a "heavy" evening to say the least.

So....I'm looking for some light-hearted entertainment this morning. Can you all turn up the jokes and sarcasm a notch for me? :goodvibes

SWMBO wanted to see that movie, but I told her I'd already read the book and knew how it ended.

We may end up just doing tshirts and such ourselves. DS is just not into this and any way that I can save space and bring less luggage is becoming tops on my list. I have several POTC T-shirts to choose from, DS has one and DH has "piratey" ones himself, so we'd be all set. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I went that route. Here is me rewearing my "pirate" outfit at WDW in August (I didn't get any pictures of me dressed up for "pirate" night on the cruise in 2006)

What can I say, I grew up in Pittsburgh.

Not sure if the rate is higher for the double length cruise, but the DCL rental company can be found here. With shoes $105.

If you shop discount men's wear, for not much more you may be able to buy tux and shoes.

If they double fee due to length of cruise.... may be best to buy (except for kids growing....)

Beware if you wear an odd size. Princess used this company when we went to Alaska a couple of years ago. I was all excited that I would not have to lug a tux around. According to their order form they carried my size but :sad2: got a call the day after ordering that they did not have anything in my size. We left from San Francisco so I figured that they should have a good supply. May be leaving from LA will be better. I would highly recommend that you order well in advance of leaving so that if they don't have your size you can go to Plan B.

Speaking of saving space in luggage . . . last trip, we only brought a few t-shirts for our two boys and DH. We planned to purchase nice t-shirts (those are usually harder to find than the $3 cheapies) at each port. It was so cool to come home with 5 or 6 new t-shirts. Mind you the bags were heavier on the way home, but we probably would have bought souveniers anyway.

That may also help you to have more room for pirate gear . . .especially if it is disposable :)

Don't forget to pack disposable underwear and socks. Perfect time to get rid of those unmentionable unmentionables.

We saw the Caps play last week in Columbus...I have Ovechkin envy.

After seeing the replays of Zednik getting slashed last night, I don't envy any hockey players any more.

Theresa...I agree with you about those cheap t-shirts. We bought some of those $3 cheapos in St. Maarten and after they were washed once, they were so twisted and misshapen they read like this "St. Maaaaaaaaarten"

Yikes . .that does not sound encouraging. I wonder if, after all this, that Disney could have overbooked?? Although they were trying to sell some of cabins earlier . . .ummm . .. I'm with you on the upgrade part!!!:dance3::dance3:

But what if it were in good ole US $$ ?? Then 20% might be less than 10% . .

Theresa...

... I've already updated my "offer" to 20% of SIX MILLION. I made an INNOCENT typographical error... and look... I get vilified for it.

Well... I guess there's no harm in admitting I never assigned UNIT values to my revised 20% of 6 million offer.

snidely_revature.gif

And by the way ... no one tell Andrew I'm technically "judgement proof" since I've transferred title of all my worldly assets and possessions. So... get a judegement against me and you'll just collect the warm socks off my 4+ decade old feet is all you'll get.

< yuk - yuk - yuk >

OK... Andrew, here's my last and final settlement offer... a gentlemans' offer for a new set of random numbers with the SAME win potential of the last recommendation - or a nice cool Mickey Bar table side on the ship come August. Take it or sue me for my smelly used socks!

b4i3pw.gif

And ... I must insist on a precondition to taking my offer - I must have your public declaration as to my "undisclosed settlement without admission of any guilt - and your presumption of my general .... INNOCENCE".

Do we have a deal ... or no deal?
