It's time to celebrate cabin assignments. Can this work by Jean Fouquet inspire the creative captioners among us beyond yesterday's hilarious results?

Emergency Emergency

The Captain has run out of Magnetic Paper for his door signs :scared1: :scared1: Does anyone know where to get it online at a good price ???

That is all - Except , Thank You in advance

Our family has also found out our room assignment. I knew that the time was drawing near, but it has been a busy week.

We will be in room 5506. Hope this is a good one;) But honestly, just glad to be in a room. My daughter who is 8 didn't think it was very funny when I would say that we were in the lifeboats. I think a little part of her thought we were really staying in the life boat.

Anyone know much about this cabin? I tried to find it on the cabin review... no luck.

Actual Cruise Question!
We are in 7576. On the deck map it doesn't show an indentation between rooms, does that mean we don't have a steamer trunk? What do we have then? Also, between our cabin and the next, there double solid lines. What does that mean? :confused3

Hmmm good question! I read the room reports, but they don't mention whether there is a trunk or not. I also noticed that there is the same double lines forward of those rooms. :confused3

Edited to add that I read a report for a cat. 6 6588 that also has the double lines & no indent & they stated that YES they did have the steamer trunk so you should be all set!

That's what I thought, too.
In looking at the 360 view of those rooms, your steamer trunk is at the foot of the bed..on the opposite wall, of course. What you're missing, as far as the square you mentioned, is the "handy bench" across from the bed.

Handy bench? Cat. 5s get a handy bench? Cat. 6s sure don't! The steamer trunks are definitely in the indents so I'd be interested to hear if some rooms don't have them.

Tom.. Thank you so much for the Newsletter....:lmao: :lmao:

Yes that was very sweet Tom! You're a great guy!

I didn't realize you were from Westchester NY. We lived there for several years and DH grew up in Yorktown Heights. We'll have lots to talk about:cool1:

Oooooooh, have to try that:thumbsup2

Ummm, we're Met fans:rolleyes1
But me manage to get along with our family members that are Yankee fans, mostly, usually:upsidedow ;)

Even worse, we're Red Sox fans here, but I like anybody who is a big fan & supports their team! Even if it is our biggest rivals! :rolleyes1

Thanks! OK blaming Mike works for me!:lmao:

I blame the Mikes all the time! :rolleyes1

Oh yeah . . . blame Mike, blame Mike, someone's always blaming Mike.

Hey, wait a minute. It's not -this- Mike you're blaming, is it?

Nevermind . . . go ahead . . . blame Mike! :rotfl:

:lmao:

DH & I had the unpleasant task yesterday of trying to figure out how much to budget for this cruise for costs (spa, excursions, palo, tips) once we board.

:scared1: :scared1:

Budget? What is this word? I don't recognize it?

Seriously we are fly by the seat of our pants kind of people & that is why we tend to hit the floor when that final statement is slipped under our door! :scared:

Are all Mikes at fault anyway:confused3 :lmao: :lmao: Sure enjoy your sense of humor.:thumbsup2

Hey Michelle:yay:
Not a stupid question:flower3:
Stace had a picture of someone with a clothes line on their verandah so it can be done. You don't want to do it on Panama Canal day and probably not your underwear:rolleyes1
I forget who it was that used S-shaped hooks to hang wet bathing suits out there:confused3

Anyone know if a magnetic clothes line would work :confused3

Sounds like fun:thumbsup2
I'll sign up when I get home tonight:woohoo:

Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Fish extender notice

The FE list is now closed with 119 participants. Thanks to those of you who have PMed me with your cabin numbers -- please continue to do so.

I will post an updated list this weekend.

See you on the Magic in a month!!!!!!!!
Thanks Julie..... I have my FE gifts scattered all over waiting for room number!!;)

You are right down the hall from us 5516 and 5518. We have never stayed on deck 5 before always far forward on deck 7 (7004 and 7006 twice). But these cabins are the best! No traffic at all, you have the forward elevators to yourself if you need them, except during showtimes in the evening ;) , and quiet.

Even if 5506 isn't specifically listed look at any of the reviews for 5500 - 5518 or 5000-5018 to get an idea of the room and location.

It is now official...my brain is already on vacation...I was so busy making door magnets yesterday that i forget to replace the photo paper with regular paper when I was done...

This morning, I was printing out my Avon orders to enter them into the computer..that's right..I now have a lovely set of Avon orders on photo paper..suitable for framing! :rotfl:

Happy 1 month to go day!!! :cheer2:

I am down to 2 room numbers.

Does anyone know LynnTarrant or Kimberly Hahn!!!
Those are the only room numbers left to finish Party Hearty (8:00 pm.) dining.

Someone on the Sign board mentioned the company Dick Blick. Haven't used them though.

Good luck

I didn't get the newsletter. Can someone forward me a copy? I always get them, even the kids newletter and we don't have any kids with us. I even looked in my junk mail folder. There is a chance I deleted it by mistake...I am getting so much junk mail the filter doesn't catch that I delete it right away. Is it on the piratezone?

WOW is it really just 1 month form now? I can't believe it. I sure wish I would get my flight schedule. :scared: It is driving me nuts not knowing.

Anyone near cabin 6507? Looks like a lot of us on that floor. Doing the happy dance and counting down the days. :cool1:  :cool1:

DickBlick.com has magnetic paper for $6.99, but the shipping is almost $10, so unless you plan on getting quite a bit it might not be worth it. I order a lot so it worked out OK for me. The order can quickly. You can also try WalMart, Staples, etc.

Sounds like just what we need. We have a 3 year old, that we hope to get down for an occasional nap. Or, maybe it's me that is hoping for an occasional nap. :rolleyes1

Dumb newbie question. When I go to get magnetic paper for our signs, do I want Matte or Glossy? Does it matter?

I have so much to do....haven't hardly started anything :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Suddenly, I feel like it will not get done. My husband had knee surgery this week (unexpectedly), and now I am trying to keep the house mellow, and get stuff done, while he lays on the couch. Turning me bitter. :headache:

But, I know it will all get done....even if I miss some things. As long as we have the basics, it will be fun regardless.

Thanks for all of the help over the past few weeks,
Carol

Nice to meet ya! We were beginning to wonder if anyone else was on Deck 2! :)

Welcome!
I think most of us on Deck 2 had rooms before, so thewre isn't as much excited posting. I've been in 2034 since 1/31/07

Oh my ! There are a LOT of us down on deck 2.
Me, M, Roger, Tom (Crash one), and a lot of others that are not coming to mind now. We will all be in good company.
BTW, Did Roger or M let you know you are forbidden to use the elevator on deck 2. That is our "keep from gaining weight plan." :)

I tell ya, it works!
We used the stairs exactly twice on the 7 day: embarcation day with all our carry-on (57 lbs. of beer and wine), and formal night.

:lmao:
Well now that I lnow the doors are there, I'm going to look for them.
Kinda like hidden Mickeys.

Yes, Julia and I are certainly, fly by the seat type, however DH is the one at GS printing out the bill every few days and wagging his finger at us. Like that's gonna stop us :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh thank you so much! LOL! I actually have the Baha Men's version on DD's file on my IPOD. That one is a little better.
