I would like to thank all of the people offering their verandas for all of us porch less folks on deck 1 and 2 and inside cabins. I do have a counter proposal to offer though. If any of you would like to get a once in a lifetime shot of the actual walls of the locks maybe you could stop by and take a picture out of our window. I mean everyone can get a picture from deck 10 but only us lucky lower deck s get a view of the actual lock walls.

I tell ya, it works!
We used the stairs exactly twice on the 7 day: embarcation day with all our carry-on (57 lbs. of beer and wine), and formal night.

Woo Hoo.....so I only need to use the stairs twice??? I'm good to go in the elevators???

Haven't printed yet...(as i needed the ink for resumes) but i just went upstairs and to tell the truth it feels a smidge thinker than the magnetic poster sheets i bought at staples that I still have one of (the "poster-size" one was 11x14)

They look similar paper too...

We got flights!

Remarkably good ones actually - early morning arrival into LAX (so we should have most of the day at DL on our pre-stay). 1:55 departure from MCO, which should give us enough time to get through Labor Day security without stress, and still get us home in good time.

Curiously - they are flying us on Alaska and American, not Delta!

Our family has also found out our room assignment. I knew that the time was drawing near, but it has been a busy week.

We will be in room 5506. Hope this is a good one But honestly, just glad to be in a room. My daughter who is 8 didn't think it was very funny when I would say that we were in the lifeboats. I think a little part of her thought we were really staying in the life boat.

Anyone know much about this cabin? I tried to find it on the cabin review... no luck.

GREAT location!!! We picked 5502 when we booked the room way back when. Not very much traffic at all.

You are right down the hall from us 5516 and 5518. We have never stayed on deck 5 before always far forward on deck 7 (7004 and 7006 twice). But these cabins are the best! No traffic at all, you have the forward elevators to yourself if you need them, except during showtimes in the evening , and quiet.

Even if 5506 isn't specifically listed look at any of the reviews for 5500 - 5518 or 5000-5018 to get an idea of the room and location.

It is also FANTASTIC if you have kids in the lab because after the DSeaU show they can check themselves out of the club and meet you at the start of the hallway so you do not have to stand in that monstrous line!!! :

I didn't get the newsletter. Can someone forward me a copy? I always get them, even the kids newletter and we don't have any kids with us. I even looked in my junk mail folder. There is a chance I deleted it by mistake...I am getting so much junk mail the filter doesn't catch that I delete it right away. Is it on the piratezone?

WOW is it really just 1 month form now? I can't believe it. I sure wish I would get my flight schedule. It is driving me nuts not knowing.

Anyone near cabin 6507? Looks like a lot of us on that floor. Doing the happy dance and counting down the days.

DickBlick.com has magnetic paper for $6.99, but the shipping is almost $10, so unless you plan on getting quite a bit it might not be worth it. I order a lot so it worked out OK for me. The order can quickly. You can also try WalMart, Staples, etc.

It ends up being half the price of WM and Staples with the shipping from the place Lori posted too...magnetvalley.com.

Kids take everything literally. My dd still does and she's 10. The other day she told me someone was teasing her about her name. I said that they were just trying to get her goat.

This was her answer," Mom, I don't have a goat. I wouldn't even know where to find a goat and there aren't any farms nearby. And why would she want my goat if I had one?" I thought I was going to drive into the curb. She had me laughing so hard!

Easy way to tell where your room is...Portside rooms have 0 or 1 as the second number. Starboard rooms have 5 or 6 as the second number. Also to remember which side of the ship is which...abc order. P comes before S so left to right.

I have enough trouble remembering which way I'm going by looking at the anchors on the carpet!
