Dan....

... this is fascinating! I find myself unexpectedly enriched with this new knowledge! Thanks for the referring inspiration! And on another note... I'll be passing through your neck of the woods staying near Great America on Friday/Sat before continuing in the late morning enroute to SF and a mini-DIS meet with Monica plus a few other DIS neighbors.

I'd hoped to be able to stop by the meet as well, but I have a family commitment. Oh well, it's less than a month before I get to meet everyone so that's not so bad....

The formal night is still an issue as my dress can be zipped - but I can't breathe or sit down. :scared:

Too easy....:rotfl:

No idea about the steamer trunk. I think the double solid lines indicate watertight bulkheads. Based on location I suspect that's where the two halves of the ship were joined.

Think Titanic or Poseidon Adventure.... (just kidding i think)

Should I bring something in order to hang the laundry???

There's one in the shower. Bring clothespins though....

My DD has the Magic horn on her Ipod.

It's my ring tone....CALL ME....(ok but not at sea :scared: )

Magnet Paper........

I used this seller...

- 7006 for us! If I'm looking at the deck maps right, we're aft starboard side - is that a good thing? Someone mentioned that connecting rooms can be louder because of the door between? Is this true? If so....I apologize now to whoever is in 7004. Honeymooners  next door.....:rolleyes1 (ooops...family board!) :)

No, you are deck 7 forward portside. That is our favorite location and this is the first cruise that we are in that area. If Don is your stateroom host [as he is usually stationed there] you will be spoiled...and you will see my kids around because they have to go see him every cruise. :) Great location. The door at the end of the hallway leads to the bridge & officer's quarters.

I'm so far behind tonight!!

Now I need to go look and see what side we're on. I think it's starboard....but we've always been on the "other" side except for the cruise in the Walt.
Nope...I'm all turned around! We're port, too. Oh well. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

Easy way to tell where your room is...Portside rooms have 0 or 1 as the second number. Starboard rooms have 5 or 6 as the second number. Also to remember which side of the ship is which...abc order. P comes before S so left to right. ;)

Guess we'll be making friends on starboard too. ;)

Oh...by the way....it wasn't that I didn't believe you or Cheryl...I just didn't see how DCL could photgraph one side and not the other, and not make a lot of people upset. But then...if they can't GET on the other side, then there's nothing they can do about that.

This is what friends who were on the WB repo this year said happened for them when I asked about the pictures.

It will depend on which side of the lock you enter. They had ship photographers on the center section of the lock and so took photos from there.
Maybe they have changed how they did things after the last repo, probably due to complaints from anyone who didn't get a picture from their verandah in 2005. :confused3 She also said that they went around decks 4 and 10 taking pictures of people with the canal in the background. Now that is something that I want to get!

Also , can anyone tell me where to find all the Disney Pirate Clipart , like of the Fab five and so forth ????? Cruisn Mike ???? I know you have had some good stuff ...... I feel like panic mode has hit ...:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

pirate:

If anyone finds good stuff, can you link it on the piratezone boards so we don't have to search through posts

TIA

I tell ya, it works!
We used the stairs exactly twice on the 7 day: embarcation day with all our carry-on (57 lbs. of beer and wine), and formal night.

Don't ya mean used elevator twice M?

Time to go to the pool.... 84 degrees in Sunny Fredneck, MD....

Now where's my sunscreen :sunny:

BIP (and others interested)

Just left Michaels and they have the magnetic picture frames (pouches) in about six or eight different sizes, up to 8x11 all $1.99 each.

Evening all,

Tried to catch up,

Congrats on the further room assignments,

NOW

Whens the tickets in the post,

Usually 21>25 days, who's first?

I agree, in 2005 it was a bit of a lottery, they did do both sides, but using my expeirience of my Princess cruises panama crossings I knew you had to wave and get noticed.

They had limited time to take everyones pictures, we were more aft, and could see the Shutters staff, two I think coming down out side slowly, taking pictures of every deck with verandahs, and deck 4 and trying to get Deck 10 as well, (9 is a bit too hard with Plexiglass).

We waved and waved and finally were in three pictures at various looks.

I did walk around ship and saw port side they were taking some, but port might well have the middle island of the three locks and they might have limited access there at some locks.

So things do change, you just have to keep your eyes out wherever you are.

Nice to meet ya! We were beginning to wonder if anyone else was on Deck 2! :)

Oh my ! There are a LOT of us down on deck 2.
Me, M, Roger, Tom (Crash one), and a lot of others that are not coming to mind now. We will all be in good company.
BTW, Did Roger or M let you know you are forbidden to use the elevator on deck 2. That is our "keep from gaining weight plan." :)

I thought there were quite a few of us on Deck 2. And, although I don't post a lot, I know that we've "talked" before. I'm the green chile addict from Cibola High whose mom lives in Rio Rancho! :)

And don't get me wrong.... I'm not complaining...

... more I'm mildly amazed at the intensity of activity

even though it's nothing new compared to busy periods from the past!

K , How is that paper ??? is it to thin or good for door magnets ?????

Haven't printed yet...(as i needed the ink for resumes) but i just went upstairs and to tell the truth it feels a smidge thinker than the magnetic poster sheets i bought at staples that I still have one of (the "poster-size" one was 11x14)

They look similar paper too...

Oh yeah . . . blame Mike, blame Mike, someone's always blaming Mike.

Hey, wait a minute. It's not -this- Mike you're blaming, is it?

Nevermind . . . go ahead . . . blame Mike! :rotfl:

It's nice to be able to pass the blame. :)
