I've been watching an item on eBay. It's down to one hour from ending, and I finally bid on it. It hasn't even had a lot of people watching, but if I get out-bid, I'll know now that the seller has someone "upping" the bid. But I'll be gone, and won't be able to raise mine. Oh well.
I always wait until the end and then sneak in and NAB!

Now I really am outta here!!

Because they have a counter that tells how many people have looked at it. And no thanks, if I don't get it, then it wasn't meant to be. I had to really think hard about bidding in the first place. It's an aquamarine ring....my birthstone.

I got to thinking about insulation. Our upstairs is pretty cold (doesn't heat rise?) Now, part of it could be that sometimes we have our heat 'n glo on and it is in the same room as our thermostat, so therefore it shuts off the heat pump and forced air is not being...well, FORCED, upstairs.

But even when the heat 'n glo ISN'T on, the upstairs is quite chilly. KT's room, in particular, is just downright cold (doesn't help it's the corner room on the windiest side of the house.)

But, I'm wondering if insulation "wears out." The house we live in was built in the 70's. Chances are, no other owner did anything about anything in the attic (it's a scary place) So, could it be possible that we need to have some more insulation blown in there?

THe reason given was that there were complaints about not being able to get help after 4pm...It has been a week, and Ihavent gotten the 1st call after 5......so only time will tell....thanks for asking though..it is nice to know that someone cares..

Make sure that you document the fact that you aren't getting any calls after 5... they did this a a former job of mine, and it took them awhile to realize that it really wasn't worth having somebody there for nothing.

Now blabbermouths I'll agree with, I can't keep up with this thread if my life depended on it. LOL

Way back when... sometime when our counters were at something like 400 days, we were called 'blabbermouths' by someone on another thread... the name just stuck, and we have done our best to uphold it proudly.

Well, the boys are off today to another basketball game. The girls are just hanging out watching a Harry Potter movie....

I thought I'd take a nap instead....so I found a cozy spot...(notice the "Scarlet and Grey" fleece! These guys LOVE OSU...and I'll admit, they ARE the best team!)

And then, when I got up, ohiominnie figured I had done enough "boy" stuff (playstation, ballgames, naps) so it was time to learn a "girly" thing....I'm doing pretty well, if I do say so myself.

It was a bit chilly in the house and with the snow falling, I thought I'd turn on the heat 'n glo....MAN, that thing gets HOT! Advice to all other ice cream cones....do NOT lie in front of a heat 'n glo!!

About (oh and I do not find fault with the parents who's child was put over the fence- it sounds like the parents were already inside and he wasn't. Unless they were able to go OUT to be with their child- but it sounds like it was a mob there and that might not have been possible. Other choice would have been what- to just go enjoy the rides while their small child was on the other side of the fence in the mob there??? If I was stuck inside and couldn't get out because of the mob trying to get in or because they wouldn't open the gates and let me out- BECAUSE of the mob trying to get in- better believe I'd be asking someone to try to hand me my child over the fence! Or I guess I'd stand there at the fence holding my child thru the fence and we'd both end up injured from the mob? I dunno... seems like a bad situation and they made the only decision they could, maybe?)

Oh I dont blame them either but I just cant believe it was that out of hand!

I think babel fish was used and this was the best translation it gave! LOL As a joke one day, I changed the title of the thread and it stuck

I think this thread is so active because, while most of us have never met, some have sailed together b4 and others of us have had pre cruise meet and well were just a bit nuts....
