It works in our house becaue everyone knows it is not a threat. It is reality.

Lisa is working to pay for part of the phone she lost. She has been paying for a ring tone that got downloaded to her phone....even though it is a spam ringtone. It is on her phone, she pays until she gets it removed.

I'm just a mean .........

And that is exactly why I have not allowed Lisa to have chat or IMs. Pick up the phone and call. That way I get to hear at least half the conversation.

She will be turning 13 next week (and thankfully still looks 9)

Be VERY thankful she still looks 9!!!! Some days, Elizabeth looks like she's 25. Granted, she's only an inch and a half shorter than I am, but she's growing up way too fast!!!!!

She and her friend were being goofy and taking 'drama queen' photos the other day... this is the one she showed me that she liked so much... scary!!!

ahh, greetings from chilly Chicago! Mark and Mary may disagree, but this 70 degree weather with no humidity is killing me...I think the weather just does this to annoy me - it seems like the warm weather disappears when I arrive. It's supposed to be 90 on Monday when I return to Houston...

John just called the kids are on their way to Chicago. My anxiety level just shot up a few notches since Mike is old enough to fly alone, Maggie is not considered "unaccompanied." John didn't think of giving the kids the my cel phone information...

Funny you should say that about the glass... the first thing she said to me before I could even ask was, "Mom, we were drinking orange juice". (I'm sure she was... her friend is the daughter of our former youth pastor, and also the daughter of one of my employees and best friends...)

She just got her braces off last week... so she's all smiles.

Yeah, I do admit, it is a really pretty day... I just like it HOT!!! My family made fun of me last night during our picnic supper on the patio - (can't do that in Houston in July) - when I grabbed a jacket...

Very good. We both liked it a lot. As I'm sure you have heard it is much darker than the previous ones but that is in staying true to the book. I'll be sad when they are finally done.
