That's the place. We had some time to kill between the movie and Alicia's job interview. For the job she already has. The grocery store chain here was bought out by another chain, and will be changing names in a few weeks.

We are on our way to Orlando and then to MI to see Matt this weekend.

Sorry, but no side trip to meet up with GarRy, this time.

The best part of this trip.....leaving the girls in MI when I fly home. Starting Monday will be my annual vacation at home alone.

Pizza, hot dogs, beer, eating in my t-shirt in front of the TV. Life will be good.

ahh, greetings from chilly Chicago! Mark and Mary may disagree, but this 70 degree weather with no humidity is killing me...I think the weather just does this to annoy me - it seems like the warm weather disappears when I arrive. It's supposed to be 90 on Monday when I return to Houston...

John just called the kids are on their way to Chicago. My anxiety level just shot up a few notches since Mike is old enough to fly alone, Maggie is not considered "unaccompanied." John didn't think of giving the kids the my cel phone information...

Had a field visit today - wonderful, 100 in the full sun at 12:30...very poor planning on my part!!!!!

It's HOT!!!!

Must go home and have a cold one to cool down!

We saw Harry Potter today too. Really enjoyed it. Daniel Radcliffe has become an actor, and that really helps the movie.

Then we stopped at the cupcake store. Oh my. Does anyone else have cupcake store nearby?

Cubs Win! Mike's buying ice cream, the Astros lost...Can't beat a beautiful Chicago afternoon with hotdogs and baseball at Wrigley Field!!! I got a great photo of the kids down by the field. I will have to sweet talk my dad into downloading the photos so I can post it...

Kids got in fine, they enjoyed their adventure. especially the Coke and Root Beer for breakfast on the plane. They even admitted they ordered it specifically because I wasn't there to tell them "no"

Can't wait to see HP - I was hoping it would be at the drive-in near my parents so I could introduce the kids to drive-in movies. But, they are showing the transformers movie - Mike saw it Sunday.

Beautiful day here in Central Illinois, also. Great to moped to work and back. We all went to see HP last night and were not disappointed. Irene, our jungle has taken over here with all the rain and hot weather that we've had. Trying to talk Larry and Caleb into attacking it tomorrow while I go to work. All these kids are growing up so fast. Caleb has grown 6 inches since our cruise. It's really strange when his friends call since their voices have changed so much over the summer. If it weren't for caller id, I wouldn't have a clue who was on the phone! OHM we've used our pie irons and enjoy them very much. We've got plane tickets and night-before hotel ressies for our Nov. girls cruise. We found out that it's going to be a pin-trading cruise. Not into pin trading, but they have some really neat looking ones available. http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/event?id=21411
Anyone into pins? I'd be happy to pick some up if I can. Also have it in the budget to book onboard, something we have neglected to take advantage of in the past.

As for Harry Potter....white text just in case....
Everyone said it was very dark. I went into the movie thinking the darkest of all thoughts....that it was going to be dark beyond believe. I didn't think it was *that* dark. I think b/c I had psyched myself out for it to be darker....and it wasn't as dark as I had imagined. There were lots of lighthearted scenes in there. I loved watching the Hermione/Ron relationship develop. Loved the Umbridge character. She did a great job. Always dressed in pink. Nick adored all of the kitties on her wall! Really good movie. Looking forward to the book.

Yup, she's on her way to MI.....a state she said she'd never step foot in unless it was for a football game. Guess church camp is *that* fun!

Mike took her in. I'll probably be the one to pick her up....at around 1:00 a.m. next Thursday morning. (yawn)
