Here is our garden view
[/IMG]

When asked what my favourite thing about Disney is, I've been known to say "the oatmeal from the club level lounge". People look at me like I'm a bit crazy when oatmeal is my favourite thing from Disney.
I'd be seriously crushed if I stayed CL and they didn't have the oatmeal.
This last trip we didn't stay CL, but I did enjoy oatmeal from the Marketplace in the Solarium. It made me fall in love with the Solarium.
So what a way to end our fabulous trip...
Needless to say, I end up in the back of the plane with flight attendants, I get to speak to the pilot, the plane nearly gets diverted all while DH is trying to calm the guy down which he did manage to do, thank GOD!!
We land in Providence much earlier than expected (pilot was on super speed) and we all get met at the gate by the police. Passenger gets taken away and we are left to make statements.
You really can't make this stuff up...Thank GOD we made it in one piece...scary, scary stuff![]()
Champagne at checkinWas that at the YC or BC? We are staying CL at the BC, last year when we checked in they offered us beer or wine!
My hotel rule is never take the cheapest room. I find you have more wiggle room if there is a complaint about the room vs them acting like you are trying to get something for nothing. Never had that happen with Disney, in general with travel. But I always book garden over standard views.
Holy cow, mommyrosa. That would be scary and surreal, I think. I'm glad you made it home safe. Your husband must be the terrorist whisperer.
Funny - the one thing we didn't get at check in was our champagne. I remember being annoyed that we not only got the dumpster view, but no champagne. I didn't even think about it until I saw so many people checking in and getting their champagne. This was our first view. Again, not the worst, although you could see the dumpsters pretty clearly (the picture is from my iphone, so it's all further away than it really was). But the beeping trucks was pretty miserable.
This was view number two, which was much, much closer to the lounge.
I would have booked GV, too. I can't recall why I didn't, but it was either because the GV rooms only accommodate four (we were a party of five), or they didn't have availability. I really wanted a deluxe room, but they only had those available at the BW. We vastly preferred SAB to being spat out the mouth of Pennywise the Clown.
And I love CL. As much as I love the YC/BC, I kept trying to talk Amara into taking the magical deal at the Poly, staying CL. This kid never, ever talks me down when it comes to money. And she pointed out it was twice the price, we couldn't walk to Epcot, and who knows what the new pool will look like versus the awesomeness of SAB. The last time we stayed CL at AKL, the IPO was able to get us the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's for our tenth anniversary. Not too shabby... I love staying CL.
Had a dream last night that I found an amazing vintage VW camper van restored to perfection and at a stupidly low price. Started a random trip with my mom only to discover she was a pod person. Rethinking the VW van now...
We have deluxe rooms at the BC ... they are really nice and sleep five and although they are not on the fifth floor, they give you elevator access to the lounge and concierges.

We literally just walked thru the door when we should have been home two hours ago. Let's see...
We board plane, find our seats, DH decides for the first time that he wanted an aisle seat so I sat in the middle. Plane is full and one of the last passengers takes the window right by me. The plane hasn't even left the ground and. I'm pretty sure I have a terrorist sitting next to me. Plane takes off, we're not even in the air 15 min, and said passenger starts acting strange and keeps hitting my leg with his and appears to be real agitated. I'm starting to get weirded out, DH switches seats with me. DH asked if he was ok, this guy says he speaks a few languages and proceeds to make very scary comments in Portuguese and is getting very loud.

So we are 5 days from our first stay at YC! Super excited!
Teena - I think my daughter played with your Lily last July at GF in the courtyard pool! I was reading this thread and remembering our chat in the pool. I'm pretty sure it was you! We will look for you when we check in on Friday!!
I will definitely look for you on Sunday!I only work Sundays and Mondays and I am flying out to Jeanne's and Lily's on November 4rd. I took off Monday (11/3) so I hope you stop by the BC lobby on Sunday so we can catch up!
I am in 3093 now.. (Checking out this morning) It is the view above. It is very close to the lobby elevators. If you ask to be "near 3093" you should be good for either the quiet pool (even numbered rooms) or wedding gazebo (odd numbered)
This is our GV ..see why I didn't want to move!
