Happy happy! My persistence paid off this morning. BC availability showed up for our December 25th anniversary trip!! I'll take that Garden View. Thanks for the advice to keep trying.

Dee - we have changed our reservation and are now officially booked at BC December 6 - 10. Hoping to grab the 5th too - will keep trying for that. Please add us to the BOG list :) :) :)

Fantastic ... love getting to see you twice in one year!!!!!

Speculating question here. On the Disney site some CL Garden and pool view rooms are listed as having 2 queens and a day bed. Does anyone think it might be possible that with the renovations they might allow families of 5+ to use those rooms?

I really do not want standard view - our next trip is a major celebration and a dream trip. It'll be 2 weeks, and lots of time in the room. But I want to be the same level as the lounge. So don't really want a deluxe suite that still only has 2 queens and a daybed.

We'll (hopefully) be traveling with 2 other families. Another one that's 5+ and one that's 2+. Our 2+ friends will be on the 5th floor, and it'd be great if us and the other family could as well. Otherwise I'd guess we'd try to request nth of us on the 4th floor instead, to be closer. But it's not quite what we hoped for.

Thoughts?

Gosh do I wish....The BC has been our favorite resort for so many years, but as our 2 kids have grown and are now older, we simply are not comfortable in 2 queens anymore. We stay 5th floor CL and like you, we don't want a standard view. As I understand there aren't many garden views with a daybed, so last trip we booked a water view, didn't get a daybed so they provided a cot which changed the feel and configuration of our whole room cause we had to move things all around.

I know it's probably not going to happen, but I'm still hoping they'll think of a way to incorporate daybeds. In our last room, we put the cot where the daybeds normally are, so it does fit but some furniture will have to be removed from the rooms. Now seems like the perfect time to get this done!

Beautiful. Glad you have settled in!

I don't understand people that people think they can cheat and smoke in non smoking areas. Especially at YC where the smoking area is one of the best areas in the resort. Just lazy/sorry I guess?? :confused3
Hate where smoking are is at YC but that's only because I'm a non-smoker and I love those rocking chairs on the verandah but rarely get to sit on them now that they are in the smoking zone :(
I'm coming out of hiding... I think I can handle reading Y/BC thread now! I missed being here!

Oh yea.. I booked a trip today!! Can't wait for the next 97 days to pass by!!

I was wondering how hard do you think it'll be to get same day ADR's or day before ADR's for some of the restaurants at the BC and Boardwalk???

We will be there 8/26-9/5/15.

I really don't want to be overscheduled. My plan is to make ADR's for our "must do's." Which are Chef Mickey's for DS, CRT for DD, BOG for me and Cali Grill for an adults only dinner.

I know I want to try Flying Fish, Yachtsmen, Cape May breakfast, Captain's Grill and B&C. I just don't know what days. We are midday break people and lounge at the pool and will sometimes decide while at the pool what our evening plans will be. If we want to go to a park at night, stay at the pool, go to DTD, stroll around the boardwalk.

Before I would have dinner ADR's and the kids weren't too happy. Now with the $10 pp cancellation fee I don't want to go through that.

So how hard would it be to get these around that time of year for the same day?

I just checked and there is availability for tonight for all of those restaurants except Flying Fish. :)

I'm just hoping I don't fall during free dining because I know TS places fill up quick. Hoping that low season and no free dining until after Labor Day works in my favor.

Thanks!!!

This is a free dining period, it started up again on Sunday, Oct 26th, and there is still availability. Usually the end of August and most of September has traditionally had free dining, plus there is a bounce back for free dining in 2015 for that period. But I wouldn't worry about it. There are always last minute openings for most restaurants.

NEED A FAVOR, Teena or anyone going to Cape May soon.... Going to Cape May on a Friday night which works best for our plans but I have been told on another thread that the cod nuggets are only available now on certain nights. It used to be the clam strips rotated and now they are saying the cod nuggets are only on Mon, Thurs, and Sat. Can someone confirm this for me??? We LOVE the cod nuggets almost as much as we love the crab legs. The Disney site and allears conflict on this BTW, which I know isn't surprising. Thanks in advance!

I'll try to check on Sunday but even then, they constantly change it. The ribs which are 3 nights a week presently are horrible and people hate them so I'm thinking they will be changed to 2 nights ... so what is going on now certainly could and probably will be different a month from now.

I understand. I just think the cod nuggets should be consistent on the kid's menu since most kid's and adults (ME) love them!! I will try to change to a Thursday, but going to be tough.

Great. Puts my mind at ease. Thanks !!

Need some help from YC fans. Currently staying there and my shower is like a pressure washer. I turn it on and it is so forceful it blows the curtain all over not to mention it bounces up off the tub floor. Night one it was so bad it flooded out behind the toilet. Last night I discovered if I leave the door open it is some better but it leaves in cold air and the cloth part still flys towards the door and the plastic part comes hurtling towards me as I stand in the tub it is clean looking but I really don't want it touching me nor do I want to continue recreating 7 Seas lagoon in my bathroom. I have stayed here before and never had this nwhat do I do?

Imagine Kramer and the illegal elephant shower head on Seinfeld and that is what I face :)

Hi lhall7,
We recently dined on a Wednesday evening; there were no cod nuggets. There were clam strips.
