Hi!! Our trip is in 26 days!!!! :yay: :cool1: I've been reading all the comments daily even tho I haven't been posting. :goodvibes

I have a question for all those who've been there the last several weeks: how was the air conditioning / temps on the Friendship boats to the Studios? We all know the boats have been pretty warm the last several years. Anyone notice any improvements this summer? Thanks!!! :goodvibes

We'll be leaving for the BCR, for the first time, in about 5 weeks. I have a question question....would it be reasonable to walk to Epcot and take the monorail to MK? Would it take more or less time than taking the bus to MK? Thanks

Much more time to get MK using the monorail.

The bus takes about 15 minutes plus any wait for the bus. The wait time for a bus is usually less than 15 minutes.

Walk to EPCOT, bag check, entry- 7-10 minutes
Walk though France, UK, Future World to Front of Park: 20-25 minutes
Exit EPCOT, board monorail, monorail ride to TTC: 15 minutes
Change to Express Monorail at TTC, ride to MK: 10 minutes

That being said, we always take the bus TO MK from the Beach Club, but we often take the monorail back to EPCOT when we are returning to the BC to enjoy a couple of attractions or get some food from Sunshine Seasons or World Showcase on our way back.

No A/C in June :sad2:

It would take WAY longer to go through EPCOT. First you have to walk from the IG to the front where the monorail picks up. Then you monorail to TTC and switch to the MK express line. I would imagine this would take about 45-60 minutes (at least).

To get to MK, the bus should only share with the YC (not Swan, Dolphin and BWI). It will pick up at YC first, then BC then go to the park. Should only be about 20-30 minutes (including wait time).

ETA: I see Dee posted something similar- not sure why I didn't see this post first! lol

We will be arriving for our first Beach Club visit on 10 September (We have been to WDW only once before) We are from Australia and I can't quite get my head around the expected temperatures. What I really want to know is will the weather be nice for swimming and does it get cool enough at night that we should bring long pants?

I am getting pretty excited - we leave in one week four our Disney Med cruise!!

yes to the swimming in september it'll be warm long pants probably not so much, it can cool down at night but september 10 is still summer although the last month of summer the average low is only in the 70's (22celsius)

If you bring pants it's probably good to get light weight ones not denim

however it's like the saying it's not the heat it's the humidity

I know people who are fine in long pants in september but the muggy sweaty grossness that is humidity means the more clothes you have on the more fabric there is to stick to your body

So excited! :cool1::banana::cool1: Made the final payment on our week after Thanksgiving trip to the YC. This is our first stay at YC and SAB. Here's hoping it's warm enough to enjoy the pool. We're going to MVMCP on our final night there (Dec 2), and have ressies for the Candlelight Processional at Tutto Italia. Can't wait! Come on, Nov 25!!!:goodvibes

Ditto!

We go to BC CL almost the exact dates you do. If you notice some weirdo eyeing you and the noodle family up - it'll be me. :rotfl:

It will still be ridiculously hot that early in the month.

You probably do not need more than 1 pair of light pants, but bring a light sweater or jacket because some of the restaurants can be very cold.

Woo hoo! Have fun.

How many of you prefer BC over YC? And for those of you that prefer YC over BC, would you book BC over YC if it saved you $23/night (same room category)? It would be about $90ish savings for our 4-night stay.

I prefer Yacht but I would def save the 24.00 a night if it was the same room category and stay at Beach. :)

As usual, I am in complete agreement with pixarmom! We plan (try) to be at the bus stop at 8 am for a 9 am rope drop.

Lots of times though we will walk over to the YC bus stop so that we can make sure we get a seat.

Pixarmom - we did the MNSSHP one time and it was fabuous! That was a "surprise trip" for the kids. They didn't even know we were going until the morning we were leaving. They thought I lost my mind when I "pretended" to be waking them up for school - and as usual they were begging not to have to get up - and I just said - okay then let's just go to Disney! I think they may have been our very best trip! Definitely try it some time if you get the chance.

Thank you! I like the plan for 8am, in reality it'll be 8:15, and then get there by 9am. We're staying CL. Will breakfast be crazy crowded around 7:30? I've read some bits about the lounge getting so crowded there's not enough seating at peak times. Would assume that's peak.

We have done MNSSHP the last two years and it's been great. Little to no wait for the rides. We even rode BTMRR a couple times in a row without having to get unload. :yay:

Hi folks! DH, DS and I are returning to the Beach Club for our third time on Oct. 7th.:cool1: Our flight arrives late so we won't be checking in until after midnight. Since our reservation has us as checking in on the 7th, does anyone have any suggestions on our check in - should I call ahead to let them know we'll be there? I'm worried they won't have a room for us because we actually won't be there until the early morning hours of the 8th.

Thanks!

Love it!!!! That's exactly what I'd like to do someday. Our current plan is to take a break from the parks until 2013. I thought perhaps MNSSHP would be an exception because it's a party, but my husband disagrees. In any event, when we're park-ready again, I'll be bothering you for MNSSHP tips!

We found CL breakfast very manageable when it opens at 7am, but that was in February. I'm not sure that everyone else gets up as early as we do!

Hope you love CL at BC!

I always thought the lounge was less crowded around 7-7:30 and got more crowded between 7:30 and 8:30. If it was too bad we'd just grab a drink and bagel to go!

It wouldn't hurt to call CRO and get them to add a note to reservation (feel like it would be fine but peace of mind accounts for a lot.)
