Seconding this. My sister had her iPad stolen from the AKL pool area earlier this year. Totally her fault -- she brought it and left it unattended -- but still crappy. And if you leave valuables in your room, make sure you lock them up there, too.

I made the mistake of leaving my tiffany silver necklace on the nightstand at the WL a few years ago and it was taken

September 13 we check in for 3 nights ... belated anniversary trip. We were even able to get our reservations changed for the three restaurants. All is good!

So I have learned that Teena, you work at the Beach club as a greeter right?? I think it says so much for this hotel that you also vacation at the place you work!!!! (I would too!!!)

We're off to the Gulf Coast tomorrow, inching our way to WDW
A couple of days R & R on the gulf, then WDW- POR & BC

Can't come soon enough. My mom is down here in assisted living, has Alzheimers, and getting worse. Had to put her condo up for sale, been a working trip. Lots of stuff to take care of, now our vacay begins! And much needed to. Very stressful.

Spoke too soon. About 7 PM last night I started shaking and running a high fever. Went to bed and then around 11 PM I started having horrible pain in my shoulders, arms, legs, knees, feet ... everywhere except the kidneys. Was up all night ... it hurts so bad. Waiting for Dr. to call me now. I can't imagine what is going on.

When we went to the BC in June That superstar known as Teena told us the resort was booked solid. We also were there during Star Wars Week so you know the crowds were good.

Let me tell you that both the BC and the parks did not have that overwhelmingly crowded feel! Disney does a great job handling crowds and the Beach Club has that intimate feel despite public spaces that are large enough to handle larger numbers. I have to say that I think the designers did a great job with planning the common spaces in a way where they just absorb people. We were at the pool many times during peak hours and we were always able to find a few chairs together. We may have had to look but we found them after very little trouble. The fact that we never stopped long enough to sit in the chairs made us realize that we only needed 1 chair to plop our stuff down onto before we hit the pool.

*Helpful reminder ALERT* DO NOT TAKE VALUABLES to the pool. Keep them in your room or get a locker which is located by Hurricane Hannah's at the pool.

Speaking of Valuables at the Pool..on the disunplugged boards the member fastergoofy posted this link for a beach safe portable security device..It has a 4 digit combo and can be attached to your beach chair..you could always cover it with a blanket as well..I have not used it but it looks like a great idea check it out..this could come in handy if leaving stuff in your room is not an option:

It's been some time since on was on the YC thread and I have a question. We have a water or pool view reserved for next June. Is the quite pool considered pool view? If so, I am definitely going to call and request that we not be facing the quite pool. Hopefully they will be able to grant our request. My DM and I were there last year in room 3163 and it was fabulous.

Can someone tell me how much the lockers at Stormalong Pool are? And, what the going rate of pool noodles is at the Poolside giftshop?

Anyone just back or there now (RachelRol?) who knows.


If not, Pixarmom will be there soon and can check. According t the OPs ticker, I don't think they will be there until August 2012, but this would be good info for me to add to page 1.

Where are the lockers? How much? Key or code? Picture???
