2011 Where are you going on vacation?

My DH & I are getting our passports this coming year - our first trip using those will be to Niagra Falls and Toronto in August. I make a goal to do some things every year off my "bucket list" - last year was the Grand Canyon & the year before that was Disneyland. Not sure where we'll go the following year for our 'big' trip - depends if my DH keeps his job. He'll be finding out soon if his job is being outsourced......

Probably a night at Great Wolf here and there and maybe a long weekend at the shore. No WDW this year.

We aren't 100% sure yet. We are thinking a trip to Disneyland in the summer and that's it so far.

The kids have asked if we can go to SeaWorld in July while my husband goes home for his high school reunion. (Blech. I hate those things such a waste of time if you ask me.)
If we do that, I'll probably take them somewhere else in FL too. Maybe a beach somewhere since they don't want to do WDW again for awhile and I'm not interesting in going to US/IOA in the midst of tour group season.

2012 is our 15th wedding anniversary and DH's 40th Bday so that year we are planning a Disneyland and Hawaii(DVC)trip!



My mom has a house in Rehoboth beach with her boyfriend. I would love to spend some time there in the summer but DH hates the boyfriend so that won't happen anytime soon! . We have been twice and love it there but what a nightmare those trips turned out to be!

i just realized, after reading your post, that not only is 2012 our 20th wedding anniversary, it's also DH's 40th birthday! well that's it, now we HAVE to go!

DH and I are going on a cruise to the western Caribbean in February and that's all we have planned for sure right now.

Still talking about spring/summer trips.

Maybe this will finally be our Canada year.

Wow you guys have some really great trips planned!!
So many people going on cruises too! We have never been because I am scared of it for many reasons. But, so many people tell us we have to try it!

My parents have cruised 3-4 times now & really love it. We're considering taking a cruise for our 20th. I get to pick & I can't decide between Asia or a Med/Holy Land cruise. Kids really want to go to Japan so we may do the second one.

AFA our trips for this year, I tell people ' Our house is tiny & I clip coupons & shop at thrift stores but our kids have seen the world'. I'd rather travel than have stuff.

We're going to a NASCAR Race in Bristol in March then visiting my Aunt in Chattanooga. Then to celebrate our 10th anniversary in September, we're sailing B2B on the Dream!

I'll still be in Aspen until the 3rd, so that I guess counts. I also have planned trips to Steamboat Springs, Alta (Utah), and Jackson Hole (Wyoming).

I guess you could call me a bit of a ski nut.

Unless it changes again. 2011 is the year my darling husband turns 50. He's been planning a trip back to Hawaii for a year, but changed his mind once we discovered Paradise Island this year. He wanted the Caribbean. Then, he realized his best friend is also turning 50 two weeks before he does, so they decided to do a joint trip to Atlantis with me, Best Friend, Best Friend's wife and kid and any parents and/or family members that want to come along. Then, Best Friend says, "Hey, we can go to Belize for much less and do much more. Can you take off three weeks?"

Well, yes, yes we can.

So, Belize it is.

For now.

I'm guessing we'll go for two weeks and overlap all of the parties. We wanted to do a small week-long trip this Summer and we only get three weeks vacation a year. YES, I GRADUATED TO THREE WEEKS last month! YAY!

We're definitely going back to England in July for my younger sister's college graduation, and we're spending a long weekend somewhere in Europe - we can't agree on where to go, DH is leading towards Venice and I like the idea of Prague. Not sure about that part of the trip yet.

We also think we might take a big trip this year - we've started seriously talking about trying to start a family later this year so this might be the last year for a while we can afford an all-out trip. DH wants to go back to Hawaii for three weeks but I like the idea of doing something different. I'm loving all these trips you guys have planned, it's giving me some great ideas!

Hopefully Bar Harbor this summer - stopped there on a cruise last summer, and it was the one place we wished we had more time.

January 9th- RCCL's Freedom of the Seas, Western.
April- May- Saratoga Springs, NY
July - Bonaire
August- Disney's Hilton Head resort
September- DVC member cruise ( I'm treating my dear sister ! )
October- me and my favorite 2 peeps do the annual F&W trip at BWVs. AND a SECOND DCL cruise with the whole fam..

Then ring in 2010...which will feature RCCLs Allure of the Seas and the Galapagos..

Don't have a clue. Dh and ds want to go back to Coke 400/cocoa beach but we're waiting to see if dd, dsil and new grs will be going with us. We think we will be going just north of pittsburgh to visit them during spring break. Ds(15) is really into fishing so maybe some beach in florida where he can fish. Just somewhere warm, soo tired of cold and snow.

We are doing an Alaskan cruise on Norwegian Pearl with my extended family, it's leaving from Seattle- so we are spending maybe 3-4 days before the cruise exploring there. Can't wait!!! Don't think we are doing WDW next year- we are going to Disneyland for the first time in 2012!!!

After that, planning a trip to Ireland is on my list but that won't been in 2011.

At least one camping trip, Cape Cod for Memorial day weekend, NJ shore for 4th of July and possibly Miami for SIL's wedding via an RV of some kind which could mean a stop in WDW and I REALLY hope Graceland and Savannah on the way to & from if I can convince the Mr

Disney World of course! In January, July, and August! And who knows when else! Also a possible trip to New York City in the spring and Disneyland for Memorial Day weekend.
