2011 Where are you going on vacation?

DH just reminded me he gets 4 weeks of vacation time in 2011!!!

I am taking notes on all the great vacation plans you all have!

We really want to go to Italy but I don't think we can plan two big trips back to back like that since we plan on the Cali/Hawaii trip in 2012.

Hoping to go to Boston in May & Florida in October for my 30th if not Florida then possibly NYC or Vegas again:thumbsup2

WDW for three nights over MLK weekend with DD17 and DD22 (to celebrate my birthday!) and for a week in March with DD17 and some of her friends during their Spring Break.

HH for four nights in late January with a friend and for a week over the Fourth of July with DD17 and maybe DD22 if she can get off work for a day or two.

A long weekend at a South Carolina resort in July and a week in San Antonio, Texas in September for conferences associated with an organization I belong to - not exactly "vacation" but leisure as opposed to work!!

Oh, and if it works out, a week or more in June in Seattle and British Columbia to visit some friends I know through one of the conferences.

I'd like to plan a few days in NYC, too - either this summer or over the holidays.

Wow - I didn't realize what a busy year it's going to be!

We are starting off 2011 in WDW and ending it in Hawai'i. We will be in Hawai'i for Christmas and New Year's. :thumbsup2

Nothing in between though. Maybe a quick weekend to NYC or the beach but nothing major over the summer.

Rehoboth is really nice. A dear friend of mine has a place a few miles from the beach, and invited us to stay last summer. It was our first time there (we usually go to OC MD). The town is really cute with some very nice shops and restaurants. The boardwalk is small, but nice. And the beach was clean (and free). You have to pay for parking (meters) so bring a lot of quarters. And of course, there is outlet shopping on Rt. 1. :thumbsup2

Sounds really nice, thanks for the details!

I am heading to WDW for marathon weekend on Jan 6. The only other big trip is two weeks in Europe at the end of summer, mostly in Germany and France. Other than that I will take 3 or 4 long weekend trips to places within driving distance. So far the only one I have planned is a trip to the DC are in March for the National Half Marathon.

This is going to be a vacation filled year for us. We didn't get to go anywhere last year due to schedules and health issues, so we are going all out this year. Add to the fact that we recently got some funds that have been long awaited, so we paid what little we owed (doctor/hospital bills) and saved some and we will use the rest for traveling.

First, WDW in May. Split stay, AKL and Boardwalk. Deluxe Dining. 9 days.

Next, Disney Dream in July. 5 Night Bahamian cruise.

Finally, split trip. October 14-23. Leave 14th for Disneyland. Depart Disneyland 19th, fly to Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA. Depart Great Wolf Lodge 23rd.

WDW trip is a family thing, we ALL love WDW.

Cruise is mostly for DH. He has ALWAYS wanted to take a cruise. To satisfy myself and DD, I booked a Disney cruise!

Disneyland is for myself and DD again (it has been a dream of ours for years).

And, Great Wolf Lodge is for DH. He loves the wilderness theme and an indoor waterpark to boot!

February - Tennessee - My 3 sisters and I are meeting here to celebrate Sis#2's 40th birthday.
Memorial Day weekend - Camping.
Fourth of July weekend - Camping.
Labor Day weekend - Camping.

We're robbing the vacation fund to pay medical bills so it will be a cheap vaca. year, but I'm looking forward to doing several short trips instead of ONE big trip.

October - 23 days, France and Italy. Am knee deep in itinerary planning. We aren't planning anything else. However, it looks like we'll both be going to to CA for DH's grandma's funeral soon. Not sure if that counts as a "trip".

We're talking about maybe going to PA so I can meet DBF's dad. He hasn't seen him in 8 years. I'd also want to catch up with a friend from HS who lives in the same area.

We also might do WDW and visit my family, but no idea. I'd love to go on the Alaska Disney cruise personally....I feel it's my parents turn to visit me, since I spent a month down there this year lol.

I can't decide! Last winter when we were snowed in all the time, I was hunting for the perfect cabin to rent in the Gatlinburg, TN area. Ended up we went to Wis Dells instead with SIL's family. Now I am back to hunting cabins again. DD12 wants to go to TN too.

But, DH and DD9 want to go back to Disney. We've been 4 times and will go again, but I want something new. Their arguments are DD will be under 10 yet this summer, and DH likes Disney because he doesn't have to drive. TN will require a lot of driving, even if we do fly from KC to Nashville.

I don't know how to decide. I think it will be TN, but we have a niece's graduation right close to the time I want to go, and there is an airport 15 min from her house that has nonstop flights to Orlando...wish we could do both!

I am ready for our 2011 vacation because we are headed back to Disney World!!!:cool1: My daughter Lauren is graduating from HS and we leave the following day. I am sooo excited!!

We are driving this summer. Hoping for either Cannon Beach, Oregon (think Portland, Seattle, Pacific Northwest) or going East but really undecided as to what would be the best. Maybe Hilton Head or Outer Banks. East coast the drive would be shorter. This would be our first non Disney vacation since 2005. We've managed to visit all over California for the last several years. Oh my has it been a complete blast. We love California and Disneyland after visiting Walt Disney World for so many years. Disneyland is so amazing.

Any ideas for an East Coast trip? We are a family of five who loves the beach and likes to be entertained.:rotfl2: Go figure!

We are going to Australia for 4 weeks to visit relatives and to go to Sydney, Melbourne and the Snowy Mountains to go skiing for a week.

Seen as our Christmas trip to Disneyland Paris was cancelled at the last minute due to our awfull snowy weather we may have a small trip to Disneyland Paris at some point in the year too.

I am beyond ecstatic for our 2011 vacations! So here's what we've got:

Jan - 2 night Disney cruise to "No Where"
February- 4 night adults only Las Vegas
March- 7 night Mexican Riviera on DCL
Summer- San Diego beach trip
October- Disneyland for Halloween Time

Not going anywhere exotic but we love our beach time and DL trips. This will be our first 7 night cruise on DCL!
