I'm sure a significant number of guests leave with rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, packets of coffee, you name it.

I put up with the toilet paper, and bring my own coffee pods and paper towels. Not likely I'm going to clutter my home with stuff I won't even use while there, but everyone's different.

While we are on the room supply subject I also bring shampoo, conditioner, body bar and other cosmetic bath items, despite the fact they have the communal supply in the bath area.

I drive so it's fairly easy for me. If I were flying I'd probably have an Owner's Locker for some stuff.

We don't need to be told that timeshare critiques are a first world problem, that goes without saying. Unless you're complaining about the malaria-infected mosquitoes that bit you yesterday or the dysentery your daughter has, everything in your life is a first-world problem.

And I have no idea what that second part of your post was rambling on about. Care to clarify?
A critique about single ply toilet paper versus something more "luxurious" is a first world problem. I'm pointing out that one buying into DVC expecting "luxury" and receiving single ply toilet paper (which I personally have no issue with) is just whining.

Apparently, you don't know how to use Google if you can't figure out what a Toto G5a toilet is. Here is a convenient link:

I know what a Toto toilet is I just had no idea why you decided to go on that reductio ad absurdum rant for no reason.

It's everywhere. Every hotel/attraction/restaurant/rest area/etc that I've been to now has this same 1 ply, melts-when-it-touches-liquid super thin stuff. The best part of any trip is getting back home to my nice toilet paper.
Was just going to say this! DH spends a lot of time in hotels and I often tag along. This is not a Disney issue, it’s everywhere!

But, unfortunately the toilet paper at HHI is no better. Maybe they use the 1-ply because of the septic system on islands, but after our stay, unless we bring our own TP, I have difficulty sitting on the plane home.

Nope, nor are the sheets. But we aren't in the Disney bubble when it comes to food, the staff seems less jaded, and the Kroger is a long walk to get decent TP.

As the owner of a construction company, I’ve had to use all manner of TP in hundreds and hundreds of Porta Johns over the decades. For me, TP has a singular mission. Either it performs that function or it doesn’t. Yes, we use Cottonelle Aloe at home, but if the Disney TP works during our brief “encounters”, I’m fine with it.

I also subscribe to the “non clogging” theory.

I sometimes deal with the construction and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants. Every time I visit WDW, I think about how amazing it would be to program the correct sizing and chemical composition of wastewater treatment if I could dictate the composition of the toilet paper. I could predict staffing levels based on room occupancy and food sales.

The way Disney plans and programs everything, I'm convinced that the quality of the toilet paper is a much more strategic decision than simply "buy the cheap stuff."

I'm amazed at what you think would be amazing-an interesting thing to do. But I confess that I know that so many things are interesting only to a very limited subset of people.

This topic cracks me up, pun intended.
To me, the TP and other amenities are just a part of traveling. The quality will vary and I put up with differences or buy what I need in my grocery run. Same with work (worst paper towels ever) and restaurants. I still see people complaining about towels and sheets being changed only every 4 days. Sigh. Once paid for, these spacious rooms are cheap cheap cheap. I don't complain.

No im cheap and would rather bring my own toilet paper. I would be pissed if they raised my mf due to toilet paper.

If I can survive the women's restroom at Disneyland on a hot summer day (seriously what is that cheap rancid baby powder fragrance about) I can survive anything. ANYTHING.

I don't know if it's cultural thing, or just an acquired taste, but I tried one of those for the first time in Waikiki last year. I turned it on, felt the stream hit places that had never seen a direct hit from a stream of water before, and then I immediately jumped up and thought "never again!"
Ah cultural things, nothing beats thinking a Japanese squat toilet inside the restroom at the beach in Japan is for rinsing your feet 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I'll never live that one down 🤣🤣🤣

Toilet paper has been discussed frequently in the Camping threads .
I would love to know where the previous poster has found the Cottonelle ALOE on the grocery shelf… Used to be my favorite TP.
Is it considered safe for environment and pipes to prevent clogging.?
This house came with the worst store brand toilets ever. Do not buy or replace toilet with Home Depot …Really bad the worst They did not put those tiny holes under rim all the way around and it will not flush tp away.
I think it is 'Glacier Bay
But their toilet bolts to fix loose toilet seats are the best . They are thick and heavy duty!
Loose toilet seats Drive me crazy .

I googled this and got an AI suggestion to just 'bring my own toilet paper'.

Briefly considered giving them a call to ask.

I wouldn't be surprised if upon checking in, if you're displeased with what they provide and call the front desk, they'll send someone out to Publix to buy your favorite brand and deliver it to your room.

I'm only commenting because I'm just seeing this thread and I literally was just at the Poly thinking to myself...gee this is really nice toilet paper for a hotel.

It gets the job done, certainly better than what they provide in the parks.
