2011 Where are you going on vacation?

The Winter Classic! Played at Heinz Field!

I guess you're not going if you hadn't heard of it. ;) Have fun at the new arena, it's very nice.

Oh my I can't even imagine! I think Blackhawks games are cold enough inside I can't imagine watching a hockey game outside in January. No we are going to next Saturdays game when the play the Wild.

January ~ Skiing at Sunday River with DD

February ~ Really hoping to be in Dallas for the Superbowl, Go Patriots:banana:

March ~ New Jersey to see DS off for deployment and Carlos' Bakery for DDs birthday present, probably go into NYC for a few days while we're in the area

April ~ Celebrating my 50th:scared1: Newport, RI for a five-day party with my best girlfriends (16 of us). Heading to SoCal with DD for a Mexican Riviera cruise followed by a week of Disneyland, Hollywood, Seaworld, and San Diego zoo. Pretty much celebrating the whole month:laughing:

We don't vacation much during the spring/summer months because we live in a beach community and enjoy spending time here. We usually camp one or two weekends locally and sometimes do a long weekend to Providence, RI or some other place close by.

I've love to be taking some of these other trips you guys are going on. I love to travel but I'm a single Mom so a travel partner is a problem, not to mention the finances:laughing:

Love reading about all your exciting plans :thumbsup2!! Lord willing ~ we will be doing several getaways, incl. a Princess cruise for our combo BIG 65/75th BD's, the kids are also giving DH his lifetime dream of a hot air balloon ride for his 75th BD. :goodvibes

Our WDW trip is coming up soon!

We are going to Sonoma, CA for my nephew's wedding in the spring,

We have a week in Myrtle Beach booked in the summer
and my in-laws live in Hilton Head, so we always go there for a week in the summer too.

My DS is going canoeing with Boy Scouts in Algonquin Provincial Park in Canada for 2 weeks in the summer too. This will be his 2nd time, he loves it!

Disney
Ogunquit ME
Long Island NY (for my nephew's wedding)
St.Louis MO (for my nephew's Confirmation)

That's all we have planned currently.

Headed to St Thomas in Sept(ish)
Possibly somewhere in Maine, have never been...so it may be Maine of St Thomas and DH is going to AZ for spring training in March and possibly Vegas too....;)

/
WDW in 10.5 days and then we are planning on going west in August - Denver, Yellowstone, etc.

Who knows where else. I have 31 days of vacation in 2011...so maybe a few long weekend vacations, too..

Viva Las Vegas!!

For our first trip, see ticker! We are going to see The Lion King at Mandalay Bay and to the Wax Museum and who knows what else??!!

Our second trip will be in March - going to be DH, DS, my mother, and myself for NASCAR! And we will be going at the same time MTV Spring Break starts. Should be an interesting couple of days. My mother and son will get their first taste of Vegas, we will see the cars go 'round and 'round and 'round, and probably see a bunch of crazy college students!

And if DS gets his school grades up, we will be going to Great Wolf Lodge during the summer.

We have gone to Disneyland for the past 3 years and (gasp!) are slightly Disneyed out. We have decided to take it easy and skip the DL trip for 2011. I think we may have Las Vegas as our new family destination. It is about half the cost of DL, and there is so much to do!

April-- Vero Beach

June-- Hilton Head

July-- cruise on the Disney Dream :lovestruc

My parents have cruised 3-4 times now & really love it. We're considering taking a cruise for our 20th. I get to pick & I can't decide between Asia or a Med/Holy Land cruise. Kids really want to go to Japan so we may do the second one.

AFA our trips for this year, I tell people ' Our house is tiny & I clip coupons & shop at thrift stores but our kids have seen the world'. I'd rather travel than have stuff.

We live the same way - scrimp by on the necessities only so we can save our money for what is really important to us - travel as a family. I think the education and memories that my kids can get from traveling with us far outweighs anything else I can buy them :)

Cayman Islands in February.
Disney World in May and December.
Poland in September.

So jealous of the Poland trip!

I totally agree! Which is exactly why the 7 of us share one full bathroom and the youngest 2 children share a room, but my 8 year old has been to 19 countries :goodvibes

I could fill my bucket list from some of you guys suggestions.:thumbsup2

Let's see.

Thursday Dh & I head to Vegas for 4 days. My birthday celebration.
My girlfriend and I are doing a girls only trip to Paris the last week in May.
Then my family reunion in Disneyworld in August.

I have several trips planned in 2011:

January---San Diego

March---Guatemala

June---Gatlinburg

September---WDW

Belize.

Unless it changes again. 2011 is the year my darling husband turns 50. He's been planning a trip back to Hawaii for a year, but changed his mind once we discovered Paradise Island this year. He wanted the Caribbean. Then, he realized his best friend is also turning 50 two weeks before he does, so they decided to do a joint trip to Atlantis with me, Best Friend, Best Friend's wife and kid and any parents and/or family members that want to come along. Then, Best Friend says, "Hey, we can go to Belize for much less and do much more. Can you take off three weeks?"

Well, yes, yes we can.

So, Belize it is.

For now.

I'm guessing we'll go for two weeks and overlap all of the parties. We wanted to do a small week-long trip this Summer and we only get three weeks vacation a year. YES, I GRADUATED TO THREE WEEKS last month! YAY!

Belize is wonderful! It is a small country packed with archeological sites and natural wonders. If you have time and the interest, I highly recommend a day trip across the border into Guatemala to see Tikal. Tikal is the most amazing archeological site I have seen.

Thinking about the Outerbanks, NC the end of August.

We are headed to the Dominican Republic for a week in Feb (valentine's day trip) and I am toying with the idea of a surprise cruise for DH's bday in Sept.
We will go to Maine and ACK for weekends in the summer and NYC for a wedding.
Love hearing about everyones' plans!

Those were some exotic places. Finances are tight for us this year, so we're planning Rehobeth Beach too as a pretty close place. We've never been, and the girls have not yet been to the ocean so I think it'll be a good plan.

I hope you get lots of rest and relaxation at 7 months along. I always found swimming very relaxing in that last trimester!

Rehoboth is really nice. A dear friend of mine has a place a few miles from the beach, and invited us to stay last summer. It was our first time there (we usually go to OC MD). The town is really cute with some very nice shops and restaurants. The boardwalk is small, but nice. And the beach was clean (and free). You have to pay for parking (meters) so bring a lot of quarters. And of course, there is outlet shopping on Rt. 1. :thumbsup2

My husband and I are spending two weeks in Florida (St. Pete's) in January.

We're also planning a couple of long weekend trips in the spring. We want to take a road trip to Winslow, Arizona and have our picture taken "standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona".:rotfl: Also, going back to San Diego. We fell in love with Coronado Island.:)

July will be our big, family vacation. We've rented a house in a beach town in Maine for three weeks in July. We'll be driving across country, so we'll actually be gone for over a month. Our immediate family will be there, also. I'm looking forward to going back to Maine and spending time with all our family and friends back there!:cool1:

We're in the planning stages for a trip over Thanksgiving. Thinking of New York City and the Macy's parade or Universal Studios and Harry Potter. Not sure yet.
