2011 Where are you going on vacation?

Cruise to Bermuda in the summer.
Disney/Universal in the fall.
New Orleans in the Spring.
1 day cruise to nowhere in Feb.

Atlantic City in January
Puerto Rico in March
Orlando in May
Beaches Turks and Caicos in August

Kona, Hawaii for a long weekend.
London, UK and then onto the ABD South Africa tour.
Alaska on Disney Wonder.
DVC Aulani for a long weekend.

I still also want to get to WDW some time in 2011, but don't know if I can fit that in.

Any ideas for an East Coast trip? We are a family of five who loves the beach and likes to be entertained.:rotfl2: Go figure!

If you like the beach and to be entertained, on the east coast, Myrtle Beach SC, would be a good fit for you, there's nice beaches and so much to do for a family, something for everyone. Golf, shows, restaurants, shopping, mini-golf, attractions, water parks, etc.

If you like to throw in history, you can combine the trip with Charleston, SC.
They have beaches there too, lots of great dining and shopping and lots of history among southern charm.

If you keep heading south, you have Hilton Head Island and Savannah, Ga.
Hilton Head has wonderful beaches, but is more quiet with things to do unless you love golf, riding bikes, fishing. It's more of a down time destination, but then Savannah is a short drive away for some more history, shopping and restaurants.

ETA: The Outer Banks is awesome, and yes, there's quite a bit to do there to, but more active stuff rather than "entertainment" like Myrtle Beach would be. It's a true destination spot. Once you're there, you want to stay put and do things locally.

It's funny though, because we've done all that a lot, so I'm ready for a change, and Cannon Beach in OR sounds heavenly to me!:cloud9:

Outer Banks, NC in June for my cousin's wedding is all we have planned right now. The wedding is on Friday, but we're making a week out of it.

I asked my friend if we could rent her parents place near Rehoboth Beach for a few days this summer, and she said "YUP! It will cost you a case of beer and a roll of quarters (for the parking meters at the beach)". I love those people! :goodvibes

Not sure when we are going, but probably at the end of June, from M-F or T-Sat. I would love to take the kids to Assateague for the day too...I'm sure we can work that in!
