**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

Can someone please tell me what alcohol is available at the 3D dessert party?

TIA

I know there was an ice wine(red), a sweet champagne, a dry champagne, a few types of coniac(sp?), a large variety of flavored liquors (I know they had hazelnut, butterscotch, and rasberry but was told they had a ton of different ones), they had Red Stag (I don't know what kind that is), they had 1 station with the wine/champagne, 1 with the flavored liquors, 1 with a variety of red stag drinks- they had a hot cider drink and a mixed with lemonade. They also had 6 other stations with brand name liqours- but I don't knowe what kinds.

We always come in the back entrance from the Boardwalk. Does anyone know the closest place to get a Mini Bracelet Gift Card from there? Thanks in advance for any info.

The small gift shop right after the International gateway sells them.

Went to PFTS last night with the Wine View Lounge. Good as always, the gift bags were there as we left the WVL. The cheese table wasn't as robust as it was last year, but still had some very high end cheeses (in the WVL, not the Kerrygold cheese table).

We were there last night too! 1st time in WVL, really enjoyed it!

Still no news on the website on timing for the events. Anyone heard differently? No dress code either, but I am assuming something nicer than shorts for Dave Smith's retirement dinner. Anyone with any insights?

I would really like a passport before we get there so that we can make our plans. We only have one day to try and sample as much as possible.

If anyone happens to see the passports and can get an extra one, would it be possible to mail me one?

We are leaving on the 21st, so it would have to be this week.

PM me if possible.

Hi. I had e-mailed D23 and they told me this: Last minute things are being set so they only know the sign in is at 5:30pm on Friday. The Sip&Stroll is from 1:30-4:30pm on Sat, Concert is 7:15 and Illuminations party is at 8:30 and Illum. is at 9pm.

No clue about dress code, I will be at the dinner. I may just wear jeans and a nice blouse.

Where did you have to go initially? I made a reservation, but I don't have any directions on where to go. I assume the Festival center for a wrist band?? Can you tell us how it worked? Thanks!

You can also get your wristband in front of America Gardens Theater and then watch the 5:15 show from a special viewing section up front. After the show, they lead you back over to World Showplace Pavilion, but if it's important to you to be in the front of the huge crowd waiting for admission, you'll want to trot ahead of the guide.

A woman I spoke to at Sweet Sundays today said they also had a surprising amount of hard liquor, like Scotch and bourbon.

We ended up having to change our plans and are now coming to the F&W festival on Monday instead of Saturday. I had assumed Saturday would be crowded, but now wondering what you all think Monday will be like? It's Columbus Day, but not sure that would make a difference since most families with kids wouldn't come to just enjoy the F&W?

Thanks!

Don't forget the locals, though—they turn out in force at night. Saturday was moderately crowded during the daytime but crazy-go-nuts crowded at night. Hopefully Monday won't be as bad, even with the locals...

If you are coming from the Epcot Area Resorts, the commemorative Disney Gift Card may also be purchased at select locations at one of the following:
  • Disney's Boardwalk Entertainment District
  • Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
  • Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels

Also one other question. My brother in law may be going with us, he has dairy and nut allergies. I told him there may not be much offered he can eat. Some skewers I think. But I know he'll enjoy drinking around the world and we can get a burger for him in America or something.

Has anyone gone with someone with food allergies? Is it just best to provide alternate food or if we research enough finding some things he can try?

IIRC another DISer wrote Special Diets and they responded that everything is made in a small kitchen so the chance of cross contamination is high - so I decided to skip the foods, even things that are probably naturally gluten free. I'm going to grab some lunch at the Cantina and then drink my way around. :yay:

Anyone know if the Food and Wine Festival stays open on Extra Magic hour nights? Thanks!
