**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

I'm at Epcot now and just walked past the dessert and champagne booth. The price of the glasses has been raised to 10 to 11.75 and they are stocking the flute glasses as we speak.

Well, I'm glad they resolved Flutegate so quickly.

I saw none of that at any of my days at EPCOT.

I haven't seen it causing any issues with the lines.

Just spent a week there. Saw no issues with the passports or anyone "cutting line" to get one stamped.

My only issue was with the Seminars. I attended two... I had two more paid for and have written Disney to ask for a refund. My second seminar I was literally seated IN the aisle! There were 4 empty tables behind me, but until I really pushed I was told i could not have a seat with a table in front of me! (Exact statement was "you have to sit where we put you") I guess that's so Linda and her team can "clean up" and distrub others while we are there? When I pointed out that I had NO Table in front of me (I took photos to prove this :) ) I was told "that's because other guests moved the chair" And that's MY FAULT? I had started VERY nicely asking, but finally just said "I am sitting here" and sat down at one of the empty tables! The staff all glared at me as they "sloshed" the excess pours into the bucket. Made me really feel for the handicapped seating since they ALWAYS put them at the back table where their view seems to be constantly of the staff cleaning up!

Anyway I don't pay to be treated rudely. Now that I am home I will be complaining LOUDLY and REPEATELY for my $12 :)

Wow! I can't believe that they were that rude to you! I would have been tempted to "accidentally" tip over some of the glasses they were "sloshing" the contents out of, to make them clean more :rolleyes1

After the great "Caymus" fiasco of 2009 we will not be attending any of the seminars either.

We eagerly signed up for the "Caymus" seminar, hoping that we would get to sample some Conundrum, or some Cab Sauv. When we were seated we were informed that we were actually at a BelleGlos tasting. :confused3 Huh?

As it turns out, BelleGlos was the relatively new venture of one of the sons of the owner of Caymus.

It was like being told you were going to see The Beatles and actually getting to see The British Invasion - not bad per se, but definitely NOT what you were paying for and a HUGE letdown from what was expected.

Hah I just loved your reference, very appropriate.

Listen, I can only speak to my experience but I will say it happened more than twice.

I'm not looking to start anything, and other experiences may differ, but I got dealt a poor hand of cards in the shape of drunken passport holders.

May I have that email address please. I would like to send an email as well.

Be more than happy to send an e-mail to her also. But I will send one to Sarah who is in charge of the VIP area during PFTS. We will see what happens.

How much does the passport cost? I think it's a really neat idea!

Also, I am making a slideshow for my mom of all the items available this year (in preparation for next years trip! :cool1:) I still need pictures of these items, so if you have them and would like to post them here that would be great!

-Germany: Apple Tart
-Hops & Barley: Pecan Bread Pudding
-Ireland: Lava Cake
-Italy: Primavera Fruit Smoothie
-Morocco: Kefta (Beef) Pocket
-Spain: Seared Tuna

Is there a map of all the food and drink booths?

There are 4 adults going on Saturday October 23. We are trying to get a plan together.

Can anyone give us some advice? How crowded will it be?

We are staying at the BWI. How early can we start? Where should we start?

We are planning to spend all day enjoying the food and wine but would like to avoid any crazy crowds if possible.

Here are some pictures of the passport. It lists all the food & beverage items at each stand so you can check them off as you go, and they can be stamped at each stand as well. It appears they are free, and available at the Festival Welcome Center.

I got mine at the 2 booths that sell festival merfchandise just as you enter WS (I've got an unused one if they ran out and I'll check again Monday nite when I'm there to see if they're still available)). And yes, something FREE at WDW.

Getting excited---going down in 7 days, baby !

We ended up having to change our plans and are now coming to the F&W festival on Monday instead of Saturday. I had assumed Saturday would be crowded, but now wondering what you all think Monday will be like? It's Columbus Day, but not sure that would make a difference since most families with kids wouldn't come to just enjoy the F&W?

Thanks!
