I picked the day, someone else pick the time and place. The late show starts at 8:15 and is what like an hour and a half?

I don't think the shows are that long (may seem like it if you go early go snag seats)

I remember on one cruise we debated going to Golden Mickeys (they had a matinee) b/c there was something else we definitely wanted to get to. I called guest services and asked "how long is the Golden Mickeys show?" She said "42 1/2 minutes." Ok, I was expecting more along the lines of "about an hour." :lmao:

I think Amy & Chris were heading to WDW today and I know Jeff lives in Lakeland. Saying a prayer that all our friends are safe.

I just heard when I walked over to Verizon to pay my phone bill. I hear I-4 is shutdown. I was going to the Red Wings-Lightning game tonight. It's pre-season but also the only time this year that Detroit comes to Tampa to play.

I hope Amy & Chris made it to Disney and that they are safe and having a good time there. I'll be there tomorrow night if I can get thru to I-4.

It's sad to hear about the officers and canine unit. Hopefully, this person will be caught soon.

Jeff - thanks for checking in. Glad to know you are safe!

::yes:: I was thinking of giving you a call to check on you but I didn't want to upset you if you hadn't heard either.

Glad to know your okay.

pixiedust: to Amy & Chris but they usually do head over early to get their hair cut at the MK. Hopefully they did today as well.

this will be my first time in oct. all this is new to me.

Then maybe I should say a bit more on it.

WDW has an event on limited nights called Mickey's Not So Scary Holloween Party. This is a separate ticketed event from park admission. They do special typical Holloween events like trick or treating and such, a special parade, and a different set of fireworks. And, of course, commemorative merchandise for the event.
Here's a link to it.

You will love going in Oct.! This will be our fourth Oct. trip. The weather is great (usually). Last year Hurricane Wilma paid a visit on the day we left Orlando, but every other year it's been mild. Upper 70's to low 80's. Crowds are lower in Sept., but not too bad. And best of all, Food and Wine Festival!! :teeth:

I had that same problem. I was not used to wearing shoes with anything between my toes and at first I hated them thinking it was a big mistake that I bought them. I kept wearing them and after about a week I loved them and didn't notice the thingy between my toes.
After wearing them a while, the thing between the toes is not as notcible to me as the height of the heel. I feel like my feet are always sliding forward. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them or not. :confused3 I guess if you see them on my feet next month, you'll know my decision.

Is there anything scary at the party for a 2 year old.

Not really - the parade does have a very cool start that perhaps some children might find scary, but it's called Mickey's NOT SO SCARY Halloween Party as it's really for the kids (ok and those of us young at heart)!

Just Curt! :lmao:

Sorry, I don't really know the answer. I'm going to assume that because it's called a Not So Scary Party there isn't. But I guess it depends on what the 2 year old thinks is scary. My girls are 3 and 2 and they think "spooky" is funny--like ghosts, pumpkins, Disney Style Haunted Mansion stuff. Now I've never showed them Gorry stuff but that would probably frighten them (and get me a ticket to jail)

I take it you're bringing a 2 year old? I just got my girls this new DVD. It would be a good test to see how he or she reacts to stuff like that. My girls love it. They love all those Sing Along Movies, but it's helping them get prepared for the Party!

We were there the week before wilma then 2 days at VB and returned to WDW in time to spend the Wilma morning in our room and then went to Epcot in the afternoon. LOTS of space available :teeth: All in all Wilma didnt affect us too bad.

The UPS man just came.....no docs, just more Crocs! I decided to give the Athens a try.

I wanted to eat there because its festive (we have eaten there before 2 other MNSSHPs) but my girls loved Tony's last year so they begged me to go there again. They don't like the LTT food.

I think I'll be canceling my LTT ADR soon. This trip was a surprise up until last week and again my girls told me Tony's, not LTT. The cruise is still a surprise and they won't know until Sunday morning when we're driving there!

Wow, that is sooo cool. We love Tony's in my house too and are eating there one of the nights...escapes me right now. I saw the line about the poodles. I have two schnoodles and I just love them to pieces. The male tends to have more poodle characteristics...his dad was the mini poodle. He's just a love.
