Karen come out and play! I wanna see your tag!:goodvibes

Anyone else a little disappointed with the Cruise NEWS? It does not look like they will be hosting a Bon Voyage Party this year! Oh, well I think we are taking care of all the little details.

Yea, Karen--I'm not congratulating you until you post so I can see! :p

Roxann--planning the little details was your job! DVC has entrusted you with that task! :lmao:

I wanted to eat there because its festive (we have eaten there before 2 other MNSSHPs) but my girls loved Tony's last year so they begged me to go there again. They don't like the LTT food.

I think I'll be canceling my LTT ADR soon. This trip was a surprise up until last week and again my girls told me Tony's, not LTT. The cruise is still a surprise and they won't know until Sunday morning when we're driving there!

That's going to be an awesome surprise!! And a great way to NOT have to make a paper chain a mile and a half long counting down the days until we go on the Mickey boat! :lmao: I'll have to make the next cruise a surprise because even though there are 23 links left on our chain--Emma just doesn't get it--we are NOT leaving today!!

The UPS man just came.....no docs, just more Crocs! I decided to give the Athens a try.

WOW!! I'd be happy if my UPS man brought me some Crocs. Did you order them. ;)

I  :love::love::love: the Athens. They are my favorites so far.

What color did you get?

I love my Athens and I'm not a flip flop person but it's been so cold here I haven't worn them! Just another reason I need to move to FL!

What a cool surprise. Good luck pulling it off.

Last year, there was a cruiser who didn't tell her kids about the cruise until they were on their way or on board. I never did hear how that all played out. Did anyone?

We've never done the paper chain. We just make a special countdown calendar and count the 'sleeps' left.

As soon as I told the girls about the trip, my older DD made a countdown calendar for the fridge!

If I remember correctly that one didn't go off too well, but I think that is because that person was looking for this super perfect everything must work for this to be a perfect surprise. If I remember hearing right the kids were just kind of like "oh, ok". Big let down for her.

I got the blue/khaki ones. I'm wearing them now, and the part that goes between your toes seems so thick! I've heard other people on the boards say the same thing though, and they all say you eventually get used to them. It's fairly warm here today, so I'll keep wearing them around the house to see if my feet adjust.

Those are the same ones I have.

The weird thing for me with the thingy between the toes is there were several nights that I went to bed and could still feel it there.

I love the nubby bottoms --- they felt so good on my feet.

The one thing I will say negative about the Crocs is that I don't think they hold up very well. My Athens need to be replaced and I bought them in July. My beach style from last year needed to be replaced. I'm probably tough on shoes but I would have thought they would have lasted a little longer.

That's a saying that you don't hear very often today....I bet you say that to kids today and they'll have no clue what you are talking about! :lmao:

Guess I'm showing my age again. I stayed out of the hair color talk yesterday because I've been coloring my hair for years. If I didn't people would mistake me for Mark's Grandmother and not just his Mother.

Well, three of us are. ::yes::

Gary's just trying to get our of staying with Walker for the weekend while I go camping with Cameron. And, doing the laundry we bring home. And, getting everything ready for Monday. And, doing the grocery shopping. And, dealing with the pet sitter.

Gee, I can see why he's trying to stay on board. ;)

:wave2: I am not!!!

Karen come out and play! I wanna see your tag!:goodvibes

I was very disappointed

Congrats for all those with new tags!

I am excited about not having a formal night, that's one set of clothes I don't have to pack. That leaves more room for my Disney gifts from the cruise!

Mary, thanks for the link to the thank you cards. I edited them to add DM and my names, city and DVC Member Cruise, October 2006. They came out great. I had some matte photo paper and the colors really pop!

Is anyone going to MNSSHP before the cruise? I would like to have the t-shirt from the party to wear to the party. We are going on the 26th which seems to be when most people are going.

We are spending the afternoon at DTD after we get off the boat to do some shopping, then dinner at Capn. Jacks, then MNSSHP.

What t-shirt are you talking about?

I had that same problem. I was not used to wearing shoes with anything between my toes and at first I hated them thinking it was a big mistake that I bought them. I kept wearing them and after about a week I loved them and didn't notice the thingy between my toes.

At both Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party there are t-shirts, sweatshirts and pins that can only be purchased during the party. You are limited on the number of pins you can buy and they will either mark your ticket or bracelet after you have bought them so you can't come back and buy again. This will be my 2nd MNSSHP and I have been to 3 MVMCP's. I love the after hours events.

Over on the Theme Parks board, there has been an ongoing thread about the park not closing until 7pm when the party starts at 7pm. It sounds like the CM's are doing a good job of "escorting" the non-partygoers from the park so that those that have on their bracelet are the only ones left.

We have a friend, one of my DD19's former classmates, who is at WDW working as whatever character they need at that time. He has played several roles (including Eeyore my DD's fav) during the parades and I will be curious to see "who" he is when we get there. I will call his mom a few days before we go to get the scoop.
