Oh, the things we do for our kids!! I've seen their video clips on the Disney Channel and they are a pretty good girl group. I'll tell you what--I'll go to the Cheetah Girls if you go to the Doodlebops for me. :scared:
Oh come on Diana, you know your chomping at the bit to see Rooney! Or is it Moe?

Great news--they caught the guy a little while ago! :cool1: It's great news for the family of the trooper that was killed as the services start tomorrow. Bruce may go with some people from work since his dad used to work for Bruce before he retired last year.
So good to hear they caught the scum bag!

I wasn't a Boy Scout.
I was in Brownie's & Girl Scouts. I know my Mom has a picture somewhere.
I was a Cub Scout Den leader, Advancement Chairperson, & and on the Commitee and now that Nick is in Boy Scouts I'm just on the Commitee.
Maybe you weren't an actual Boy Scout. But my dad was a registered, card carrying Girl Scout. :rotfl2: In order to go on G.S. camping trips he had to register, but since he wasn't a leader - my mom was - he was just a regular member. And boy was he proud of that.

They had GREAT GREAT things to say about his podcast (I've heard several of their shows and it's not like they just say nice things to be nice.....they give very fair reviews and assessments) Only one criticism....Mike can be a little longwinded and say the same things over and over. (I've already told him that was an issue)
We have a pod-star in our midst! Congratulations Mike! :cool1:

Missed chat tonight, but I'm all caught up now. We have a very busy weekend which started this evening. After rushing home from swim lessons Ian an I quickly got ready and left for Tot Shabbat at his school. (It's a sabbath service geared to toddlers/preschoolers.) The service was only about 30 minutes then everyone sat down to eat the dinners they'd brought. It was actually a very nice evening, and not so many people there that the noise level was deafening either.

Tomorrow morning, while David's at work, Ian and I are going to a new synogogue we joined - with the Rabbi that married us - for their very first Tot Shabbat service. (Funny that they're both the same weekend.) Then in the afternoon we're all going to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese for a 3yo. And David's mother is going with us, too, since we usually all go to lunch together on Saturday afternoons. Sunday we have another birthday party - the first of Ian's classmates to turn 2 - at the Flight Museum. But really, no gifts? That's what the invitation says. :(

That's becoming a common thing to do around here too. The invitation says things like "Just you spending the time with us is your gift" I usually still do bring some sort of little gift, not the typical gift I'd ordinarily give but something like a book or some sort of educational type thing like flash cards. I feel weird not bringing a gift to a party. :confused3 We've even been invited to kids parties around the holidays that say bring an unwrapped toy for donation or money for this cause. Nice idea, but I still bring a gift for the kid who most likely doesn't get why no one is giving him/her gifts.

That's what I was thinking, a book or something small. How can you not give a gift to a 2yo? So we'll be going, gift in hand and the little boy will be happy that he got to open a present from his friend. :)
