I know this is posted somewhere but what time and how do I get to the chat tonight? Right now I am in a very loud thunder and lightening storm-no rain yet but the weather reports and saying it is coming and I have already fried one computer while being online during these kind of storms so I can not guarantee anything. Great news--they caught the guy a little while ago! It's great news for the family of the trooper that was killed as the services start tomorrow. Bruce may go with some people from work since his dad used to work for Bruce before he retired last year.

Speaking of Circle Journals. When and where do we want to exchange them?

It should be some time when we can all get together, but at the same time it would be nice if it wasn't during the Sunday DIS meet as time is short and it is so crowded then. I'd love to see it at a time where we could all get a group shot taken with the CJ's.

So we have Amy, Cindy, Mary, Diana, Stacy, Cheryl and me. Will everyone be at the Saturday meet? Could we do it then?

If everyone isn't at the Saturday meet what about meeting a little early on Sunday say at 2:45 before the DIS meet?

I'd like to decide so we can put it in the navigator. I know Amy won't be home until Sunday so a final decision will have to wait until then but wanted to throw this out.

Either works for me.
My flight on Saturday doesn't get in until 2:15pm (hopefully sooner) so we might be a couple of minutes late getting to the Solarium.
But whatever works best for everyone.

Stacy - still waiting for Amy to get back and voice her opinion but it looks like everyone else likes the idea of Saturday. Diana already warned us you would be a little late.

I was in Brownie's & Girl Scouts. I know my Mom has a picture somewhere.
I was a Cub Scout Den leader, Advancement Chairperson, & and on the Commitee and now that Nick is in Boy Scouts I'm just on the Commitee.

Really cool news here.
Several weeks ago Mike submitted his podcast to a "review" podcast. They review books, movies, stores, etc etc, and they also review other podcasts.

They had GREAT GREAT things to say about his podcast (I've heard several of their shows and it's not like they just say nice things to be nice.....they give very fair reviews and assessments) Only one criticism....Mike can be a little longwinded and say the same things over and over. (I've already told him that was an issue)

He's thrilled b/c it's good to hear some unbiased feedback. He's also thrilled because he now has something to work on to make it better.

The woman who is one of the reviews even said she's going to keep listening to it b/c it's interesting......and she doesn't have any children!! Her dh (the other reviewer) said he'll start to listen as soon as they have kids.

I was talking to Mike about your little guy's sleep issues and he said "did you tell her to check my podcast?"

Thanks, I listened. What he said is pretty much what we did. In all honesty though, I don't think Ian has sleep issues. At night he goes down quite easily and very rarely wakes in the middle of the night. In fact he started sleeping through the night when we gave up night feedings around 6 months old.

Nap time - during the day - Ian pretty much refuses to go to sleep in his bed. But since I know this is something he'll grow out of needing in the next few years I have no problem letting him nap in the car. I've even discussed this with Ian's pediatrician at nearly every appointment and he agrees, as long as Ian sleeps at night not to worry too much about naps.

Don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate everyone's sleep advice. But for now I think we'll just continue doing what we've been doing.

I just purchased tickets for DD and myself to go to The Cheetah Girls Concert next Sunday. Apparently, Hannah Montana is going to be there too! DH said this was a chick thing and he would be happy at home. So, a tween concert ought to be interesting! DD is very excited!

Sounds like fun.
