20% Cash Back on Orbitz Tickets w/Ebates

Got another reply from Ebates today saying it could take up to 40 days for them to investigate it. Guess that's ok since the check doesn't mail til May. All I can do at this point is wait.

Did you post on their facebook page? That's the way most of us have gotten help.

I bought my tickets on Sunday and nothing has shown up on ebates. Should I wait until it has been a week before I do this?

I'd give it a week. Then email them off the website. Then if you get the "You must wait 40 days after travel" line, post to facebook.

You and I are in the same boat. Contacted Ebates, 'A customer service rep will be in touch .. ' .. next stop Facebook. I think the first step is to email facebookhelp'at'ebates.com with your problem, then post on the wall

I don't recall exactly what I posted. Something along the lines of me being excited about the great deal, but then disappointed at how long it all appeared to be taking to get my cashback on nonrefundable park tickets.

I did e-mail that facebook address to see if I get a response before posting on their page and I did. I've already been told they're contacting Orbitz (not sure why cause I gave them a copy of my receipt) and assured me that I will not be forgotten and will try to get back to me quickly with a resolution. Hope so!

those who missed out im sorry and i to missed out im hoping in may or june i can get tickets for my trip so a big parts paid for. I am keeping an eye on a bunch of sites and going to keep an eye on them ebates, orbits, and others too to see what deals are popping up between now and June and will know about how often nice deals pop up and when to jump on one when i have the cash what ever is cheapest and has most cash back will win my bid lol

In my excitement for a great deal I purchased a ticket for our June trip for our 2 1/2 year old grandson.... He doesn't need a ticket. Oh well. Disney told me at least he has a ticket for a future trip all paid for...

Well let us know if you can use the voucher past the dates on the voucher. I asked this question earlier in the thread, but got no response... then tried to search the boards for an answer on an old thread and found some people who were told that they could not use the voucher past the dates. So inquiring minds want to know!

I bought tickets planning to upgrade them to APs in April for our adult trip, but got concerned that ticket prices may be going up before then. We have a family trip planned in the fall that I could use the two tickets on, and buy my APs now, but was worried about the "valid dates". Called Orbitz first and they said to call Disney, called Disney and they couldn't answer whether or not they would take the voucher later, I'd have to call Orbitz, but they did say that I could pick up the tickets during the valid dates and hold on to them until our fall trip. So that is the plan now, still glad we were able to get in on the deal, but don't want to risk AP prices going up so I'll purchase those off of Way.com and put these towards fall.

I think this is the answer to my question. Exchange the voucher for tickets at the time you provided when you bought them and hold them until needed. BUT would only work out right if I was near, or planning to be near DL at a specific time. Since we were not sure on travel dates, I had to pass up this deal this time.

I literally am about to cry right now. I went to buy the tickets today and as you all know it is down to 4% Oh my freaking goodness. I should have just transferred money from our savings and not waited. I am buying 7 tickets and that was over $350 back. I am sick to my stomach.

I would have SWORN I read the fine print and saw the deal was valid through March 3 so I waited until payday so I could pay out of the bank account rather than credit card. Now I'm SOL So bummed! Guess I'll keep watching for 10% to come back but really disappointed today

Ebates didn't post a valid through date, at least not one I saw. When you see a deal this awesome, you need to jump on it right away, if at all possible.

yep, learned that the hard way! I just signed up with ebates last week in response to this thread. I must have been looking at a valid through date somewhere else and didn't realize it was not ebates. Luckily I have 3 more months to watch for a better deal to come along and I will know to jump the next time.

You are correct about the deal stating it would run through March 3rd. I also saw that so was waiting to charge to a new card I was getting. There was nothing about "or until supplies last or until a certain number are sold". I read the fine print and was very disappointed. Oh well.

I included all the same information they ask for when you fill out a request on the actual Ebates site.

I too have experienced the no cash-back pitfall! Went through the 'Help-where's my cash back?' link on the site, then emailed facebookhelp'at'ebates.com, still no response.

It looks like people are getting results by posting on the wall. The only problem is I don't have a Facebook account might get one of the kids to log me in.

Good luck everyone, and I'll post my end result. Seems as though the Orbitz / Ebates 20% off isn't that great a deal after all. Anyone know if we should cancel our order because of misleading advertising??

I used the 'Record Locator', but in the body of the form I copied the entire email from Orbitz. If you watch the FB page, it looks like this promotion is quite the debacle!
