2/11/13 Wonder Sweetheart Cruise

We had a couple sick boys this weekend in Boston. Fortunately not the flu which has hit hard around here. I know how you feel... "Please, please, please don't be sick in February! " (At least until we get back!)

Luckily it wasn't the flu! My youngest starts to get better and picks up anything that rolls down the road. He has bronchitis, which luckily we can treat before te cruise. My other son caught a virus and went back to school today! Hope yours are better:)

Welcome! I have copied how I explained the fish extender in previous messages. Also, just to let you know..you are welcome to participate in the FE but it closed last week, which means you may or may not get gifts from everyone as most people have done their shopping already. If you wish to join I just need real names, cabin #, ages and any allergies we need to know about. There are no dumb questions so ask away. This will be my families 4th and 5 th cruises and this is a b2b for us.

Hmmmm... Ok how to put this into words. I was overwhelmed at first on our last cruise when we had about 20 cabins with a minimum of 3 people. We did a b2b then as well. Total between both cruises I had almost 50 cabins and had made serious goody bags to all of the kids for every night. 2 large duffel bags later, just for FE stuff, I was thinking what am I doing??? Ill tell you what, I ended up with some of the most amazing and thoughtful gifts. I actually just hung up one of my gifts, a Mickey Mouse shaped Christmas ornament! We had a disabled woman make us all a large bag, knitted by her, since she couldn't get to the store without help. We even had simple things like a can of old bay seasoning from a family is a from Maryland, candy from the UK, small glass jars to put shells/sand in from our vacation spots, music CDs with music tailored to our trip. We had someone give out the small bar bottles of alcohol for the adults. You name it, you got it! Including baby powder (sprinkle it on your feet that have sand on them and it dries out the sand so it falls off easily). I LOVE my handmade key fob with the Mickey heads. There is no limit to these gifts/ideas. I came home with as much stuff as we took! I think dh and I were more excited than the kids to go back to the room to see what we got! Haha. My daughters fav gift was a simple dollar store eye mask with a Mickey button sewn on the top. My boys loved the homemade dry erase boards and glow sticks. The more people the more exciting I think..never know what your gonna find when you get back to your room. I don't think we got anything that wasn't useful in some way. I was so glad that we did it...hoping more people join our group, makes it more fun. I will have to look to see what pics I have from the last cruise, I'm sure I have pics of the awesome gifts we received! Doesn't have to be expensive unless you want it to be. I'm happy with a dollar store item with some personal touches. Hope this helps!

We are on the Wonder Sweetheart cruise as well. Are we doing a meet and greet? Myself, DH, DS (8) and DD(4)

Yes, on embarkation day at 3 pm at the promenade lounge located deck 3 midship. Some people are wearing green beads/ boas..whatever from st pattys day, so that we can be identified easily.

It's our 1st Disney cruise and would love to participate in the FE (just found out what it was today, but already have gifts in place:) How many cabins are participating? ***We are Amirah,; DH-Bilal (32nd BDAY celebration) ;DS-Rylan (8); DD-Symphony (4) and we are in *Cabin 2534-Disney Wonder Sweetheart Cruise Feb 11th, 2013 Sailing out of Miami. Thanks so much, and have a blessed day!

Can I have a copy of the FE list? We would really love to participate...our kids are young and still happy with anything from pencils to a piece of chocolate if we are too late for the actual list-lol Amirah , DH-Bilal (32nd Birthday celebration), DS- Rylan-(8) and DD-Symphony (4)

Are there 3 sheets to this or just the first? Thanks :)

Here is the list with your family added. Also, would you be offended with a small bottle of alcohol? If not what kind would you like? I will not take offense if you say no, I would rather you be honest:). The list is only one page my iPad does funny things with documents.

Hi everyone! We are going to be on this cruise, as well and are so excited! It will be me, DH, DD17 Erin, DS7 Ben, and DS4 Jacob. We're in room 6530. This will be our first Disney cruise as well as our first cruise with a verandah. We can't wait!

We're driving down to Orlando from SC on the 9th, going to Legoland on the 10th (DS7 found coupons for free kids admission and decided we NEEDED to go! lol) and driving down to Miami the evening of the 10th.

Hope to meet you all soon1

-16 in Minnesota today. Brrrrrr. Anyone know the weather for our cruise?

weather.com is trending low 80's for Grand Cayman & uper 70's for Cozumel on the 10 day. That only takes us to Monday 2/10 though...such a shame to have to leave -16, pre wind chill, to go to that type of weather! Trust me, it can't come soon enough!

gopherlawyer - when are you leaving for Miami?

Hi everyone! I am new to this board and this will be my second Disney Cruise. Very excited as I had such a blast last time. Looking forward to seeing everyone on board =)

We are leaving the morning of the 10th. Will we be seeing you at the airport?

Nope, we're out Monday @ 7:10am. Keeping fingers crossed for good weather. Ahh, it's MN, we're used to this stuff right? After today's drive home though, I'm so very much looking forward to this trip!

Less than a week for us to head south. Doing 3 legs: NJ-VA, VA-GA, GA-FL. First leg will be right after kids come back from school. Last leg will give us plenty of time to stop by Character Premier in St. Augustine and tour around Miami and get some alfajores.

This would be our 2nd DCL cruise. As of now, we didn't get any pixie dust - oh well - but will try an upgrade at the port, though ship looks full.

Anyone else driving down I-95?

We booked the ruins and discover mexico for Cozumel. But, we haven't booked something for GC. Kids are only interested in visiting Hell and maybe go to the beach - So I might just play it by ear and get a cab there. Anyone with experience?

:jumping2:One week from today I'll be flying down to Orlando!!!! Guess I need to pack this weekend.

We are driving down from Delaware on 2/7. We are staying at Vero for a few days, then driving to POM and parking at the port. We got a boarding time of 1:00.

We are planning on just walking around on Grand Cayman. DH wants to go to Margaritaville. I want to shop... :goodvibes

Mr Sancho's Beach Club all inclusive on Cozumel. Planning on a relaxing beach day! Hope the weather cooperates! :beach:

See everyone at the Meet at 3 on Monday! I'll be wearing my lime green boa (scarf) all day so if you see me, say HI!!
