Welcome! I have copied how I explained the fish extender in previous messages. Also, just to let you know..you are welcome to participate in the FE but it closed last week, which means you may or may not get gifts from everyone as most people have done their shopping already. If you wish to join I just need real names, cabin #, ages and any allergies we need to know about. There are no dumb questions so ask away. This will be my families 4th and 5 th cruises and this is a b2b for us.

Hmmmm... Ok how to put this into words. I was overwhelmed at first on our last cruise when we had about 20 cabins with a minimum of 3 people. We did a b2b then as well. Total between both cruises I had almost 50 cabins and had made serious goody bags to all of the kids for every night. 2 large duffel bags later, just for FE stuff, I was thinking what am I doing??? Ill tell you what, I ended up with some of the most amazing and thoughtful gifts. I actually just hung up one of my gifts, a Mickey Mouse shaped Christmas ornament! We had a disabled woman make us all a large bag, knitted by her, since she couldn't get to the store without help. We even had simple things like a can of old bay seasoning from a family is a from Maryland, candy from the UK, small glass jars to put shells/sand in from our vacation spots, music CDs with music tailored to our trip. We had someone give out the small bar bottles of alcohol for the adults. You name it, you got it! Including baby powder (sprinkle it on your feet that have sand on them and it dries out the sand so it falls off easily). I LOVE my handmade key fob with the Mickey heads. There is no limit to these gifts/ideas. I came home with as much stuff as we took! I think dh and I were more excited than the kids to go back to the room to see what we got! Haha. My daughters fav gift was a simple dollar store eye mask with a Mickey button sewn on the top. My boys loved the homemade dry erase boards and glow sticks. The more people the more exciting I think..never know what your gonna find when you get back to your room. I don't think we got anything that wasn't useful in some way. I was so glad that we did it...hoping more people join our group, makes it more fun. I will have to look to see what pics I have from the last cruise, I'm sure I have pics of the awesome gifts we received! Doesn't have to be expensive unless you want it to be. I'm happy with a dollar store item with some personal touches. Hope this helps!

For those with allergies on our FE group, please be advised one of our presents/bags has a Brazilian chocolate called "Batom". It does not contain peanut in the ingredient list but contains cashew. It's a basic chocolate milk, very famous in Brasil, not crunchy in any way.

I didn't have 40+ chocolates here in Canada so I only put one or two chocolates in each bag.

If no one in your stateroom can have it, let me know please and I'll remove it.

Thanks...

Would anyone be offended if we gave out small bottles of alcohol? If you would rather not have them, please don't be afraid to say so. If you wouldn't mind them what kind would you like? This is still up in the air so just let me know ASAP:)

No offense here as we would enjoy it! Out preference would be run or vodka but happy with anything!! Not a picky drinker!! :). So excited!!!

Thank you for your concern! I mays elf cannot have them but I'm sure everyone else in my cabin will enjoy them:).

No offense here! LOL

Kahlua would be awesome, but appreciate anything you provide!

Getting excited... counting down the days!

My girls, Arissa 16 and Daya 14, are hoping to meet some new friends and are hoping it is nice and warm.

14 days!!

I did the tequila tasting on our last cruise with some DIS friends, and it was a blast! I never signed up for any before, because DH is not a drinker, but it was fun to go with new friends!

Southwest dropped the price of the direct Saturday flight from Buffalo to Fort Lauderdale so we changed our flight to one day sooner.

We are going now on the 9th and are getting one extra day of vacation.

Although the hotel I got from hotwire for Sunday evening (Best Western Hallandale) for 65.00 (taxes in) wanted close to 180.00 for the Saturday evening stay (almost triple the price), I was able to book that with air miles (miles program offered in Canada), so I am getting it "for free".

Just hope they don't make us change room from Saturday to Sunday - LOL.

Glad you were able to get a flight the night before:)

I'm flying to Orlando 2/9. I wanted to have at least a day extra in case of weather. Guess I will have to see the new Fantasyland on Sunday while Jillian works. We will be driving down to POM on Monday morning early.

Anyone looking at the tastings? i want to do Mixology.

I've been looking at the tastings also. Probably going to do the tequila one or mixology. I didn't do one last year on the Dream but wish I had.

I also want to do the mixology! So do we sign up as soon as we get inboard at GS? And does everyone in the party need to be there or can I collect kttw keys from everyone and go!

Being that we live on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay and Mobile is the official home of Mardi Gras , you will all be getting Mardi Gras Treats from us! Anyone have an allergy to banana moon pies? I can omit one if needed. Thanks!

That is what I would think, GS once on board. Not sure about the other part. I'm getting excited, it's getting so close!

Ok all you FE participants with girls/boys over the age of 11 or so, I need some ideas. I've got whole cabin gifts and extra items for the younger set but no good ideas for the older set. Sure there's always candy, but other ideas? My DS is only 5 so I guess that's the age group I'm most familiar with. Let me know.

I have a17 DS and 18 DS GF. She's a senior and he's a junior in high school so I'd think a keepsake is good and really anything except alcohol for them. Lol. Although they would think shot glasses would be cool. My kiddos are pretty mature so anything for them. DS is a fireman if that helps and DS GF owns & rides horses but she's a girly girl.

Our family is also easy to please! I have a 16 y.o. girl who is a Jr. in High School and loves to read and do origami. My 14 y.o. girl is a freshman and is a cheerleader and softball player. My hubbie is a systems mgr. who loves football and I am a sped teacher who loves anything Disney!

We love neat momentos and and all that stuff.:)

:confused3

My 14 y.o. is worried that she won't have enough time at WDW because we are going on cruise! (LOL to have such worries, right?!)

We are arriving at 10 am in Orlando on 2/8, then on the 9th is her nationals cheering :cheer2: competition, the 10th is most likely open and then on the 11th we leave in a.m. and drive to Miami from our WDW resort.

I say she can get to Magic Kingdom and Disney Studios with the two parties that the competition holds for the girls after hours and then can focus on the places she feels that she will be missing at WDW.

Does anyone agree with her or am I thinking clearly?

Jessica-

Is the last posting of the FEs the final one? I'm trying to get my gifties packaged up.

Thanks!

My daughter is a girls girl, tink and hello kitty are almost obsessions as well as 1 direction. She's happy with anything really:)
