I'll send y'all our warm weather!!! It hit 78 today and I REFUSE to turn on the air conditioning in March! Our inside temp is 80! And after putting out 30 bags of mulch..I've had an arm workout, legs, back, name it...got 10 more to do tomorrow...bad news is all this working out worked up an appetite so no slimfast for me...but I did limit my dinner to popcorn...that's not good either is it?

On to new days...hope you guys thaw out up there...mother nature is tricky...I have a feeling we're not done with sweater weather yet...blow in a tornado and we'll be back in the freezing temps!

Catch up tomorrow...keep losing guys!!!!

Tara

Here I am at work for the 14th day in a row. Not very motivated or I wouldn't be on the net. Have some items that have to be done before leaving for WDW on the 18th. It isn't coming fast enough.

I went to the gym the last 2 days. I tried to do upper body machines to stay off the foot as much as possible. It didn't quite work at the foot is swollen and very tight in the wrap that is on it. I will work on core exercises at home this coming week just to keep moving.

I am eating everything in sight and my weight is creeping back up to the dreaded 170's. I have vowed to follow a better eating plan this week to get ready to pig out next week.

We are going to determine our activity level next week based on how my foot reacts and how much we just want to veg. No more commando trips as we will be back for 2 weekends in May also. We will also be in St Pete's the last weekend of April so Lynne can do the TRI there.

My neuro said no coasters but I may do Expedition Everest once just to say I have done it. I will have to consider the consequences and let Lynne ride it first. Erin insists it is a great ride. I'll see what happens.

Need to get back to work. Everyone have a great healthy day.

Hi Guys!

I'm so excited because I am finally human again (picture the dancing scene in Beauty & the Beast)!

After 3 solid days of feeling beyond yuck, I am finally normal. I also dropped some pounds, hopefully they won't all come back. I plan to work hard not to let that happen. I have a running start, so I want to go with it.

I finally did the long walk on the TM this afternoon. I liked Pirates of the Caribbean. I thought it didn't really need to be 2.5 hours, but since Orlando Bloom or Johnny Depp one was in almost every scene, I can deal with it -- seven miles in 136 minutes. Not exactly a sweltering pace, but I really needed to just get my legs back under me.

Tomorrow is another day, and I'm eating within my points range! Plus, I plan another TM session (dh still doesn't have that bike put together, but I can't complain since he has done everything for the last 3 days!), too. I am really motivated.

Being sick is a rotten way to get a jumpstart, but when it happens, ya gotta go with it!

I hope everyone else is hanging in there.

Kathy -- I feel your pain. My busy season just started at work, and I won't breathe again until May.

Tara -- I am so jealous of your weather! But we had 50s today, so I'll take it!

Tracy -- It's hard to get much done w/dh gone. Be happy for whatever you can accomplish!

Jen -- Keep going like the energizer bunny!

Linda -- Have a Great trip!

Michelle -- Were you able to get outside and enjoy our sunny weekend?

I have to run, chat more soon! Let's do this!

Kathy...hoping your foot is much better over the next few weeks...but WAHOO on making it to the gym...that alone is SUCCESS!!!! All this work you've put in over the last 6 months will help you from creeping up...just try to choose good veggies/meats/fruits and lay low on the sugar and white flour stuff...ya know, cookies, cakes, muffins! :) All the foods I LOVE when I'm down in pain! :)

Slimfasting is back on track...did a lot of yard work this weekend...a little more to come...working on the house today and going to find a good wreath to welcome spring to my front door...

Love spring cleaning!

Hey everybody,

Well I found out that I don't have a kidney infection through a CT scan, but my symptoms have worsened through the weekend. I went back to the Dr. today and was told that it may be my gallbladder. I now need to wait and see when my ultrasound appt is.

Maria: No, I wasn't able to get out and enjoy our beautiful weekend. I've been sick since Thursday.

Have a great night everybody

Michelle

Hi!

How was everyone's day? There was a block on this site at work today -- I was so disheartened! I was super busy, but I wanted to check in during my lunch. Maybe tomorrow will be better. We never know from day to day what ITS will block.

Michelle -- I'm so sorry to hear you are unwell, it sounds like you really need some TLC, and some answers. I hope you get both!

Debra -- Of course I'm envious of you! Just 12 days! I bet you're already starting to smile from ear to ear!

Tara -- I bet your yard is gorgeous! You are putting so much love and care into it. you should be proud!

Linda -- I hope you are resting, relaxing, and having the time of your life!

Everybody -- Let's keep moving and losing! We're marching to April!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday and today I spent the better part of both days up in DD Ellissa's room CLEANING it. Why, oh WHY do girls this age, not know how to keep their rooms clean. Ellissa and Mickaellya share the room, so I NEEDED to be able to walk in it so that I could put Mickaellya(who is 1) to bed. Well it was to the point that I was able to take 1 step in and hit bare floor, after that, step at your own risk. I told Ellissa today, that she was no longer able to change her clothes in her room. She would have to change in the bathroom and put her clothes right down the shoot to the pile in front of the washing machine. I'm sure that won't last, but it made me feel good just to tell her that. Anyway, now I can see the floor, although I'm afraid to look under her bed. That will have to be on tomorrow's agenda.

Finally made it back to the gym, Monday was no go because I stayed up to watch Grey's Anatomy. And last night I was on the phone, practicing my skills of becoming a travel agent, and departing my what some consider useless knowledge of Disney on some one who is going in July. We were on until 11pm, so I didn't get up again. So when I got here today, I did the walk/run routine for 35 minutes, with more running than walking.

Saturday was absolutly beautiful here, the kids were outside all day. It was more of a tease for them though, since it rained here all day on Sunday. By Monday, the yard was so wet, that they couldn't go out again.

Gotta run, someone just came in to learn how to use the gym.

AGH! It's been crazy here. It's Tech Week, which means I just got home and cleaned and did homework...so this is the really only chance I got to be on this week!!! I love it...except for one of the leads did hurt his ankle today. It's just a lot of stress. But I love it.

Kalahari was last Sunday. I didn't exactly feel like Heidi Klum in my bathing suit, but I felt much better about myself. :)

B: two slices of PB toast (two slices of Natural White Wheat and a tablespoon of PB), 1 apple. 5 points
L: one slice of pepperoni pizza. 4 points.
S: one apple and water. 1
D: two tacos (two flour tortillas, lots of lettuce, some cheese, ground beef, tomatoes, onion). I don't know the points value.

Linda-bon voyage!! Enjoy your trip!

Oh!!!!!! And I won an award at Winter Sports Awards!!!!!!!!!!!! I won Most Improved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO PSYCHED!!

Must dash! Hugs and smiles and positive thoughts!

It snowed last night and I'm currently trying to dry my sock. I tried to get my boot on with this soft cast but just couldn't force my foot into it.

I managed to get back into the 170's. It probably had nothing to do with the gallon of ice cream smothered with caramel sauce and nuts, or bucket of caramel corn or 3 bags of mini Take 5 bars. My attitude toward losing has gone out the window.

I hope to be able to get back to exercising when this thing comes off my foot on March 28. Hopefully this will cure what is wrong with the foot. I plan on doing the Minnie even if I can't walk the next day.

I have an appt with the pain clinic today to see if there is an alternative to having the spinal injection on the 31st. The neuro seems to think that is the best way to go. I am a little apprehensive about having a needle stuck in my spine. They know what they are doing so the chance of problems is minimal.

Hope everyone is being more sucessful than I in their journey to lose weight.

Have a great day.

Tracy!!! GREAT JOB on cleaning the rooms! That's probably about 500 calories burned...

Jen!!! MOST IMPROVED!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Can't let that go by without a HOLLER!!!

Kathy! Are we living in the same household? 3 okay 4 peanut clusters yesterday, peach cobbler, small fries as a snack, 1/2 a chocolate chip cookie...okay and 1/2 of a 1/2 a chocolate chip cookie (those big ones from McAlisters) and the realization that today is a new day and I can forget it...priceless!!!!

So let's make this a good day, dry sock and all! :)

Cleaning house for me is a priority...if that's in order the rest of my life seems to be in order...if my house is a mess...so is my eating and exercise! :)

Let's lose it girls!

Tara

Happy Ides of March!

I bet you don't hear that very often! :rotfl:

Yesterday went really well. I stuck to my eating plan for once! :Pinkbounc DH finally put together my exercise bike, so I was on that for 45 minutes and ten miles (resistance level 1, I just wanted to get used to it). I'm now sore in spots I'd forgotten I have...

Today is off to a good start as well. I taped The Amazing Race last night, so I'll be walking to that today on the TM. Tomorrow is normally my long walk, but once a month I have to go to the burbs for a meeting, so I'll be doing it Friday. I took it off to be with the rest of my family. We promised ds a day of family activities. So far he wants to go bowling.

My scale seems to have settled at 174. I guess that's the end of the fallout from being ill. I'm hoping to start seeing that go down now. It was lower and kept going up, but I've been here a couple of days. I'm hoping with the increased exercise, I'll at least see a 2 lb. loss by this time next week. That would be huge for my moral.

Tara -- Today is a new day, with plenty of chances to eat right and get a little exercise in. I know you will have a great day! :thumbsup2

Kathy -- You have been having such a hard time, you have to be patient with yourself. Pretend you are one of your daughters. What would you say to her in this situation? Say that to yourself. We have seen you accomplish so much, and we are very proud of you! You have been in a lot of pain, you've had work challenges, and you have to be mentally exhausted. I know that when things are manageable again, you will regain your desire to lose weight. For now try to hang on to some of your good habits, and remiind yourself that you are a precious individual and we appreciate you! :grouphug:

Jen -- Congratulations on your award! It sounds like you are having the time of your life. :Pinkbounc

Tracy -- Great job with the cleaning! I bet you will be a fabulous travel agent. DW is so complicated and extensive, I know your family/friends/clients will be really grateful for everything you can share with them. :tink:

Michelle -- Hope you are feeling better! :goodvibes

Debra -- Are you packed yet? I know you are ready to burst with excitement! :woohoo:

Let's get movin' and losin'!

Maria

Good morning. I don't have much time to post. I have a class in a couple of minutes but i just wanted to say I am feeling much better from my sinus infection and I think I am back on track. Worked out two days in a row. It also helps that I haven't eaten dinner two nights this week. One I had dental work done and the novicane did not wear off until 9PM so what was the point of eating dinner. Last night I was tired and cranky and I got mad at my sons and husband so I let them fend for themselves for dinner and I had a light snack. I was surprised that I didn't overeat when I was so upset. Maybe something is changing. At least my older son got his ten piles of laundry out of my living room.

Off to class.

Good morning fellow losers. Still now exercise but anm doing better on the eating. Had dinner out with 2 clients last night and brought half of my meal home. I am going to have it for lunch.

My mind is in WDW mode. We leave on Sat and I can't wait. Have developed a chest cold so hopefully that will not affect my vacation. Still have the foot in the soft cast but should be able to deal with that easily.

Have a great healthy day. Nee dot try an d get some work done. Have 6 tax returns here that aren't completing themselves. Don't want to caome back to a pile of work.

Maria!! Just think 5 pounds till you see 169!! That's five pounds!!! It can be gone in a flash with all the exercise you've been putting in!!! I can't wait to see the excitement when you reach 160's!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!! That bike will help! :)

Dona! Oh man, 10 piles of laundry!!! AARGH! I'm secretly smiling because I've got 5 stuffed in the floor of my laundry room and probably 9 more secretly stuffed in 3 closets! My life is so much clearer without clutter in my path so I simply find holes to stuff them in! :) Now if I didn't find that central hole where those chocolate chip cookies find a home!!! But, not TODAY!!! Here's hoping today is a good day...yahoo on not stress eating!!

Kathy! Do you notice a change in yourself over this past year? Even with the pain of surgery and foot problems...you have a kind of glow about you! I remember last year tax season was a BURDEN to you and how stressful it could be considering squeezing in a Disney trip...but look at you now! You're excited about this trip even with the impediment! What do you think has changed or am I just reading more into this? I really feel that exercise increases those good endorphins and all that you've put in the last months have raised yours up! I need those endorphins boy! But it's sooo nice to see you taking a Disney trip in the midst of high tax season....it's a new you! you're living life and ENJOYING it and not being a slave to your occupation!!! That's SUCCESS!!!!

I am feeling soo much better about getting to the 150's this morning...could be the birds singing and sunshine...but I'm doing it! I'm going to make this happen! Had 2 slices of french wheat toast, 1 slice of bacon and 4 strawberries...going to slimfast my other two meals unless I get a big walk in then I'll have a nice dinner...Gonna kick this poundage for good!

Tara

Good Morning!

I ate properly yesterday, but punted on the TM. I was just wiped when I got home. Hopefully today will be better. I have a meeting I'm dreading this afternoon, but once it's over I'm sprung until Monday! I'm looking forward to a family activity day with dh and ds.

Tara -- Thanks for the encouragement! I especially need it at 5 p.m. every night, when I am totally starving! You are off to a good start. I hope you had a wonderful walk.

Kathy -- I'm so glad you are getting a vacation! You need something to refocus on and have a fantastic time!

Dona -- Glad you are feeling better. 10 piles of laundry?! You are a much more tolerant mom than I...

Everyone else -- Let's get ready for Spring!

Maria

Hi Fellow Losers,

When is the warm weather coming back to the east coast?

I did pretty good with eating today. I'm trying to stick with the WW meals and Lean Cuisine for lunch and dinner. For breakfast I had a bowl of plain oatmeal with raisins in it. Not to bad. So can anyone tell me the skinny on banana's. Good for you as far as dieting or bad for you as far as dieting. How about apples? I'm so confused as to what fruits have too much sugar, too many carbs. Why can't fruit be fruit.

Walked on the TM and trained with PT. I'm gonna say it again, walking lunges KILL me.

A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to do a weekend trip to WDW in Oct for the F&W fest. Just leave the kiddo's home with DH, fly down on Friday afternoon and come back late on Sunday. DH gets back from Florida on Saturday, so I'll say hi and than pass it by him.

A DVC friend of mine was just down for ESPN weekend and picked me up a copy of the Illuminations CD. So I worked with the PT to that for some serious motivation. Actually, I have never met her in person, just on the DVCtalk group, but she lives about 30 minutes from me, and so the rest is history. I have been trying to get my hands on it for about a year now.

Time to go, Yoga is starting and I gotta get home. Ellissa is babysitting for me. This could be ugly. Actually I haven't gotten any calls, so things must be good.

Everyone is doing great. Keep up the good work.

I am leaving for WDW today instead of tomorrow. I got on line last night and was able to get ressies at the Seaworld Sheraton using my SPG points earned with all my trips to Long Island last summer. We are leaving today to get out of this cold weather. Mom has decided I get the wheelchair part of the time we are at WDW. We usually get one for her so she doesn't pace the floor all night with leg cramps. She aslo has 2 artificital knees. Erin doesn't know we will be there a day early.

Will check in later. Still having a problem getting my eating back under control but it will happen hopefully before my foot improves. The dr said when then soft cast comes off the PT starts. I hate PT. It seems to slow me down but that is probably the reason. I usually don't approach anyting half way. It's either all or nothing. Problable the reason I am back up into the 170's. Exercise will take care of that as I am starting to eat better.

Have a great healthy day.

HAve a great trip to DW. I hope the weather is warmer than it is here in the northeast. Take care of that foot. Think about a wheelchair for yourself. You are going to be exhausted walking with that cast all day.
