Good Morning!

I guess things are getting better. I did not eat after dinner, no snacks yesterday, and I spent 80 minutes on the TM. I'm calling that a successful day.

Today I'm going to strive for no snacks and some more time on the TM. I feel a loss coming on!

Debra -- If I were you I would have danced around the house when those shorts were too big! Here's wishing you a super :bday: tomorrow! I hope it is everything you are hoping for, and sets the stage for your fabulous cruise! We're going to miss you, and we hope you have the time of your life!

Linda -- Don't be too depressed if you don't see a loss quickly. My body holds everything for TOM next week! ;)

Kim -- Those cheddar cheese biscuits are good. I haven't had one in years. We don't have Red Lobster in Boston, so I guess you could say I gave them up by default. It sometimes helps me if I write down what I plan to eat before I go. Somehow seeing it in black and white makes it harder to answer the siren song of foods gone wild! :lmao:

Dona -- Great job getting back into exercise! It is very generous of you to let your vacation money go on a trip without you! DH and I try to do occasional trips with buddies, and it is a good thing for everybody. I'm sure you will enjoy your peace and quiet while they are gone. :goodvibes

Kathy -- That was so thoughtful of you to write from DW! I hope you are having fun even with your foot issues, and you will have plenty of good stories to tell when you get back. :smickey:

Tracy, Jen, & everyone else -- Have a super losing day! :grouphug:

Maria

Can it really be this hard to lose 0.6lbs???? That's what I've got to officially be in the "150's" and it's been with me for almost a week now!!! I've got step class tonight and my name is all over that elliptical machine at the gym tonight so hopefully by tomorrow, I can be rid of that last little bit!!

Wish me luck please!!

Hi everyone,

Sunkissed--Try drink some hot lemon water. It helps if you have an issue with retaining water. I didn't think it would work but, by golly it does.

DH got a dose of 11 yo DD hormones today. I think his head is spinning. I had to come to work at the gym, and she called me crying, saying he was telling everyone to clean up the toys in the basement, and blah, blah, blah blah,. So anyway, I get him on the phone, and he says she was all over everyone, yelling at them for touching her stuff and that she was really on a rampage. I said, she was the one calling me and sticking up for these kids she was just yelling at. I told him to go give her a big hug, he chuckled and said"yeah, so she can take my head off". Oh the joy's.

So anyhow, I hope everyone is sticking to their eating good and exerciseing. I'll tell ya, the WW desserts are pretty darn good. They have been a saving grace when I felt the need for a sweet.

Shoot I just lost my train of thought... Oh Well, I'm old and tired so this should be expected.

Went to doctor yesterday because my right arm hurts so bad, turns out I have a strained Rotator Cup/Cuff. So gotta cut back when I'm doing the pilates things. I had a personal training session today and did lots of squats. Speaking of hiney's, I was perusing the magazines at Borders yesterday, and they have a magazine devoted to great glutes. Well , let me tell ya, these "babes" doing these exercises have NEVER had anything than the glutes they were born with. They need to show REAL women doing these things.

OK well ,the yoga class is starting and it gets real dark in here.

Wow! I feel the rhythm of losing poundage here gang!! Do ya feel it????

Kim...yep, those cheddar biscuits are hard...stick to ONLY one and you'll be a winner...then the next time break half of one and stick to that! You'll have conquered their call!!! I find that exercise really helps me stick to good eating...maybe try to do that elliptical an hour before going! :) Eating out was my 15 pounds gained our first year of marriage...we just loved eating out together...and I found I would eat as much as my husband! UGH! No more! I really watch portion control..eek? not lately, though...but that's changing! :)

Linda...those pounds will be off before you know it! :) We're going to see you celebrating 160's I JUST KNOW IT!!!!!!!

Debra! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN!!!!! You're doing GREAT!! Have you settled on a goal number for yourself? Is your body settling into your new found self after these past few months???? ENJOY THIS CRUISE and come back wearing some new shorts you picked up in the BAhamas! :)

Sunkissed...I'm BLOWING AWAY that .6 pounds WHOOOOOOOSH!!!! YOu will see 159 this week!!!! Watch your sugar intake or high carbs and you'll flush that pound right out!!! CAN'T WAiT to add you to our SUCCESS LIST!!! Let us know!!!

Tracy...TAKE care of that cuff!! That can be a pain!!! Hope your daughter is recovering from some tough love on the toy room! :) I think our kids benefit greatly from having to deal with a different style of parenting...life is not all the same and it'll make them appreciate your style! :) I've got an 8 year old brooding over me right now wanting breakfast...she wakes up and is INSTANTLY hungry...need to run...she keeps saying she doesn't want me to be skinny because she likes to sit on my comfy lap! :) Ahh gee...can't give in to their every whim! :)

I'm still on track to being in the 150's by our September trip but it's critical mass time I have to start turning in losing numbers soon! I'm taking a break from the scale and hopping on at Easter...then pushing on till our trip! It will be great to be in the 150's for a nice family vacation! :)

Let's do it gang!

I am very nervous about writing this because I really don't believe that it is true.

I am in ONDERLAND party:

I am at 199 and I weighed this a couple of weeks ago but I went up. This time I hope to stay where I am. I don't think I have been this low in 10 years. Boy does it feel good.

Hope everyone else has a losing day.

Happy Weekend!

Yesterday I took an exercise break. Thursday I did another 80 minutes on the TM. That's two days in a row, and my lower back said that was enough. I did clean for about an hour, so I must have burned some calories that way.

My eating has been up and down. I am sticking to my meals and not eating after dinner, but I definitely think I'm eating more calories at the meals. Still, I think after TOM next week, I will see enough of a loss to get excited (and for me, that's a pound or two). As long as I keep working out, I know I will eventually lose weight.

Today I have a hair appt. this morning, and I hope to TM this afternoon. Then I want to either settle in with a good book or take a nice nap. I might even play a game with ds. I just want to relax for a few hours.

Dona -- :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc :bounce: :yay: :tigger:
We are so proud of you! This is a special accomplishment! Go out and get yourself a non-food treat! Manicure, pedicure, great book, new cd, whatever, just do something just for you to celebrate!

Tara -- We are going into serious losing mode and staying there. Keep walking, and it will go! :moped:

Tracy -- The WW chocolate mousse is my favorite. I could eat that and be satisfied 7 days a week. Do take good care of yourself! We want you healthy so you can enjoy watching dh squirm with the joys of adolescence ;)

Sunkissed -- I bet you are already there. 0.6 could be just a tiny bit of fluid that hasn't found its way out yet. You are doing great! Congratulations on all your success! :yay:

Debra -- I hope your birthday was great, and you are now focused on your fantastic trip. I know your family is going to have a wonderful time. :woohoo:

Kim -- Are you doing better with eating out this weekend? Think of little ways you can cut back, and in no time they will be habits! :goodvibes

Kathy -- How did your foot handle the trip? Did you find any new wonderful things for us to look forward to? :tink:

Jen -- Did you start working at the ice cream shop? How are you enjoying it? How about those cheerleader tryouts? I bet you're having a great time! :cheer2:

Well, I'm off to get going on my day. Everybody have a fantastic weekend! We're cruisin' to losing!
Maria

Things have been crazy. I've lost almost ALL focus. I started work this week and I love it! I'm learning really fast, but am around food all the time. It's very hard to say NO, but when I do eat...it's usually a chicken sandwich or a hot dog. It's a lot of walking around a small kitchen and is very busy. I apologize for not being here more!!

Cheerleading tryouts are in two weeks! I am going to get back on program tomorrow. Which means:
24 points
Exercise
Water
Good fruits and veggies
Not eating after 8

I'll weigh in tomorrow. I'm hoping for under 200-I've been horrible with eating habits!

DONA!!! Congrats on getting in to ONEderland!

Welcome new members!!!!

I'll have to dig up some of the play photos...

Hi guys! It's been awhile since I"ve posted here, and I need to read back and refresh my memory on everyone.

I'm restarting WW on Monday... I *will* get this weight off before Christmas!! I'm going to be walking again, and using the treadmill. I checked out a new gym, that is sort of like Curves and I may join up, but for now at least, it's going to be walking.

It's warming up, so I'll be able to swim soon, hopefully by April.

Now I'm going to go read back and see what's going on...

Two questions though....should I post a brief reintro of myself? and Two...can I, and if so... how do I put the 150 club link in my sig?

DONA!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
WAHOO!!! Onederland is the start of a whole new day for you!!! Just say goodbye to those 200's forever!! And think you're only 40 pounds away from 150's!!!! That's AWESOME!!!! GREAT JOB and be PROUD!!!

Maria!! Way to go on the treadmill...that is keeping you from gaining and with the right foods you will see those numbers move quickly in the right direction! Great job on not eating after dinner...you are doing it and the Spring weather will help you stay motivated! :)

Jen! YEAH on the work! It may seem like you're eating bad but I promise you even in a small kitchen you can walk miles back and forth! When I was a hostess and even a waitress I was the fittest I've ever been! So here's hoping those legs will bring you new numbers!

JustAshe!! SO GREAT to have you back! It's always hard to commit during the winter...and the spring is a great time to realize losses for the new year...so come on back and tell us how much you've got to lose! For the clippie just click on someone's clippie that you like (right click) and find the properties button...copy the url for the properties and go to User CP page and when you edit your signature push "image" and paste the url in there...it should work...I hope it made sense..I think about 10 pages back there might be better instructions! :) But hopefully that will work! :)

I'm starting with my slimfast today..yesterday was soo cold for us didn't get above 49 and I kept a chill all day..I just couldn't do 2 slimfasts and needed warm food...so did have a bad dinner (fettucini alfredo!) but atleast I had a side salad too...so here's to a better day of choosing wisely! :)

Tara

Morning All!! :sunny: :sunny:

Promise of the day is to take the dog for a walk........brrrrrrrrr or get on the TM

Another promise of the day is that I WILL go through an entire day of counting my points and writing them down!!!! I CAN DO THIS!!! :rolleyes1

Have a magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Hi all! I just came across this thread and was wondering if I could join! I started Jenny Craig in March of 2005 at 313 pounds. My goal is 150 pounds and I just hit 157! Woo hoo! I love the idea of sharing healthy eating tips for Disney. We are going from April 14-21 and I am trying to get to my goal by then, but if not, I want to be sure to stay on track while dining in Disney. This seems a great and supportive place! Good luck everyone!

Hi!

Linda-At our ice cream store, we have ice cream/frozen treats, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, and bbq beef sandwiches. I was seriously thinking of making a banana split without toppings or ice cream (just a  in a cool dish!)

Tara-Thanks!

Breakfast was alright-and then the rest of the family got up.
1 egg with one slice of deli ham (2)
1 apple (1)
1 slice white toast with butter (2)
Cinnamon roll (6)
Sausage patty (2)

I'm hoping lunch will be:
Turkey sandwich (1 slice white bread, two slices turkey, lettuce, tomato, mustard...3)
1 serving tomato soup (2)
Baked potato with cheese (3)

Water: 2 Pop Century mugs worth down the hatch!

Re-welcome JustAshe and welcome Angelsmom!!!

Back from WDW trip. Very relaxing, no work, very little time spent in the parks.

3-17 - left at 6 PM to drive to WDW
3-18 - arrived WDW, called Erin (EB) to make sure she was at work. Surprised her as she didn't know we left a day early. Rode the Pooh ride, then went to find hotel as we had be up since 6 AM on the 17th and were exhausted.
3-19 - checked into OKW, called EB to meet us. Ate lunch at Olivia's with EB and her BF. By then our room was ready so we hung out there. Both EB and her BF called off from work so they couldn't go to the parks.
Went to the mall for supper and then to Publix to pick up a few groceries.
3-20 - spent day at AK. Did the Safari and the driver stopped when then animals were close to the road. I didn't take my camera as the picture taking chances are usually slim. Lynne, EB, and BF rode Everest 3 times. Lynne rode it to determine if I should ride it. The answer came back negative (friendly neuro specified no rollercoasters) and Lynne felt I should actually follow his advice. Want to be able to function and not take any un-necessary chances with my neck. Went to EPCOT for supper at Beirgarden. We were so full we didn't even stop to get a Kringla. Didn't ride any rides.
3-22 - Sea World Both EB and BF had both Monday and Tuesday off so we spent the days with them. Had supper at Wide World of Sports restaurant.
3-23 - Spent AM with hanging out at OKW, met EB for lunch at the Poly, went to 3 PM parade at MK before sending EB to work. Since the kids were both working, we went to my nephew's in Alamonte Springs for supper. My brother and his wife were there also. Had a nice visit.
3-24 - went to MGM, saw Beauty and Beast. EB and BF met us at 50's Prime Time for lunch before going to work. We went back to OKW before going downtown. Ate supper at Wolfgang Pucks Express. Went back to OKW to Olivia's for dessert. EB got done at 11 and rode the bus to OKW as she didn't have her car. Wes got off work at midnight and came over to pick her up. They decided to come back at 8 AM to see us off.

Linda - EB is working in MK. She is an operator in Fantasyland for the Teacups, Pooh, and Snow Whites Scary Adventure. She is having a great time and is applying to continue in the college program until December. Her BF is scheduled to stay until August as part of the Advantage Program but is also applying to stay until Dec.

EB and her BF make a cute couple. He is 6'3" to her 5'1". He picks on her constantly but she seems to enjoy it.

My foot held up okay for the trip. I opted not to use a wheelchair and we walked slowly. I was able to get off my feet frequently. Hopefully I will get this anoying soft-cast off Tues.

I have already decided to postpone the nerve block scheduled for Fri 3-31 until after 4-15. I am already starting to stress over all the work that has to be completed in the next 3 weeks. Probably should not have taken the vacation, but I needed to time to recharge.

Everyone is doing great. Will get back on track tomorrow. Need to get back to drinking water and eating healthier.

Craziness. I had to work today, and a little extra. I was told I had to represent student government at a board meeting tomorrow (directly after work!). Eating represents that, I guess. I really NEED to stop snacking at the ice cream shop during breaks!!! I mean-I have dinner there, and a snack right after school or else I am a REAL crab. Two chicken sandwiches and a hot dog!!

B: egg with ham, toast (2 slices) and fruit cup-5
L: hot dog and fries meal-9
S: Chicken sandwich-???
D: Chicken sandwich and hot dog
Family Dinner-salad and stuffed shells (maybe)

Exercise was good-we had a nice long walk in gym class!! It felt GREAT! And business was good today too...sunny kind of warm ice cream eating weather.

Hey everybody,

I'm sorry I haven't been around in a couple weeks. Not feeling so great and not knowing whats wrong really takes a lot out of you.

Thanks for all of the well wishes.

I've started walking a couple miles in the evening at my old Highschool well thats not exactly true considering they knocked down the school I graduated from and rebuilt an awesome one to replace it. The new school has a walking track above the Gym. It's nice and until it gets warmer it will due.

I hope to start rollerblading at least 10 miles a day starting in April. My 5 summer weddings are sneaking up fast.

I hope all is well with everyone :yay:

Linda! Spring is here!!! Didn't you know they announced it on Monday??? I have had a talk with the gulf stream and he PROMISED you'd have spring this week!!! So expect it soon!

Angelsmom!! WOW WOW WOW!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: AWESOME job on getting in shape in a year!! That is AMAZING!!! I'd love for you to share your journey and how you feel NOW!!! I bet you're thrilled!!! So glad to have you here!! And you're already a 150'er!!! We're all just trying to get INTO the 150's so at 157 YOU'RE THERE!!!! :) But we'd love to see you down to your goal of 150!!!

Jen!! Looking good on the food on the day before...uh...those hot dogs are killer! :) You can make it through a day without a snack...just think good snacks like carrot/celery/nuts/wheat crackers...just a few bites and move on! :) You're making me crave a chicken sandwich now! :) Hmmm...chicken for breakfast? A novel idea! :)

CommunicoreGal!!! We all have lulls in our desire to hit goal or 150's...I've been in a icky lull through winter...I just can't pull it together without sunshine and balmy weather! :) When you jump back into rollerblading you'll feel so much better and not get down on the days you feel aren't your losing kind...it really makes a difference getting out there and moving! So give yourself some slack and start stretching those muscles for the workout they'll get when it gets warmer and stick with that walking!! I feel like a lab rat in those gyms! I tried it and walked 48 laps and thought I'd go nuts! :) Put me outdoors anyday! :)

Which I did today!! Guys, Tara is back and WALKING!!! I did atleast 3 miles...walked for 55 minutes...need to put my odometer to the trail and see how far I really did...but it felt GREAT!!! YAHOO!!! I'm back and walking!! This means weight CAN NOT STAY ON ME! :) YAHOO!!!! Will weigh at Easter to get an official starting point...just have been awful this winter and weighing now will only put me in the dumps...so working hard to make it a good weigh in..I figure I'm about 40 pounds away from goal 145...so hoping that the next 5 months will help me get there!

Keep up the GOAL!!!!
Tara

Morning All

Tara- Someone forgot to tell Chicago that spring is here........it is 38 degrees windy and rainy...........ugh Rumor has it that we will see the 50s tomorrow......hoping and praying.

Angelsmom- You are an inspiration to us all!! Keep checking in and motivating the rest of us. :teeth:

Jen- NO MORE SNACKS unless they are healthy......you have come sooooooooooooo far to back slide now. How about bringing a healthy snack to nibble on? You can OVERCOME this :cheer2: :cheer2:

Communicore - Take that first step and start rollerblading again. Once you start and see how good it feels you won't want to stop cruising. :moped:

Kathy - Glad you had a nice time:):) Melissa went to the College Program presentation last night and her interview is tomorrow at 10am......keeping fingers and toes crossed that she will be at WDW this June  :thumbsup2

Debra - How was your birthday?

Off to be productive and explain to the dog that the crockpot is NOT worth barking at :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Honestly sometimes I wonder where his brain is.

Have a Magical Disney Day
Linda

Oops. I wish I would have checked in earlier!!!! I snacked. 2 hotdogs and 1/2 a baby cup of vanilla ice cream with fresh berries. It was too sweet. Tomorrow I don't have to work and it should be a good day. I will bring a healthy snack to work from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Signed sealed delivered. I think baby carrots are the first to bat for snackies. They do have LOTS of bottled water and I revel in it!

Food:
breakfast: 2 stuffed shells
lunch: grilled chicken sandwich
s: hotdog
s take 2: hotdog
d: taco salad

Hi all. I hope everyone is healthy and losing this week.

My sinuses are still bothering me. I have been having a naging cough for the last couple of weeks. I don't know whether it is from the sinus infection that I had at the beginning of the month or if it is from the new medication my cardiologist has me on. We shall see next week. This sinus thing is still a big problem. The other night I was coughing and snoring so much so that my husband slept on the sofa down stairs. But last nigh was better. I am still having some pain around my eyes so I keep using hot compresses and saline spray to clean out the sinuses.

This afternoon I came home from school and did 45 minutes on the treadmill with 18 minute miles. IN 45 minutes I did 2.5 miles. :cheer2: :cheer2: This is the fastest I have ever been. I am also thinking of signing up for a 3 mile run/walk at the end of April. I am then looking down the road for next APril to do a half marathon in the next town over. Then who knows. If I do the one next April maybe my husband will agree to let me go do the DW in Jan 2008.

Today was a great day for my eating. The only thing that i over did was a little too much meatloaf for dinner. The rest of the day was fruits, veg, low fat protein and an english muffin with my eggs this morning.

Have a great evening and I will see you tomorrow.
