Hey Woo hoo for Tuesday...All I can say is at least it isn't Monday

Well I only did about a 600 calorie loss on the Elliptical today. Too tired to do 1000.

It was just such a busy day, I have no other words to describe it. Preschoolers are just too big of a handful. (I'm a Speech asst with Special needs preschoolers...Autism and Cognitive issues) No I'm not a saint.

Linda : As for the rollerblading I'm stuck with doing it once a week in an indoor rink until it gets warmer out. It's been a high of 30-40 here. Maybe a heatwave of 50-60 Friday into Saturday. I need warmth.

Everyone else, I hope you are all having a happy losing evening. My scale doesn't like to budge but I can see a difference in my legs. Now it's the tummy I want to slim down.

Michelle

I'm still in lurking mode. Have not been exercisisg which is frustrating. Need to follow orders so I can enjoy WDW in 11 days. I just want to be able to walk around without pain. Even with my best efforts to sabatage my weight loss, I'm holding steady.

Tara - send some of the warmn weather our way. It didn't get much above freezing here today. We still have snow on the ground. How is your walking going. I hope you start out slow. THe general rule is to increase your milage no more that 10% per week.

Tracy - hope your daughter figures out her math minutes. It is hard on a kid that doesn't test well under those conditions. Great job with your early morning exercise.

Maria - hope things work out for your DS. Changing teachers midterm is hard on everyone. How is your exercise going? Are you signed up for the WDW race in Jan '07 yet. I am waiting to see if I can get my foot straightened out before signing up. I think I would like to do the full. My oldest has decided to go Goofy this time. She is still kicking herself for not doing it this year.

Linda - you can get rid of the etra lbs and catch up with me. I'm waiting patiently for someone to join me. you can do it. Get back on the treadmill. If the weather improves, it is much nicer to exercise outdoors.

I had a dr appt today becasue she is adjusting some of my meds. i went in today and told her I felt like my body should spontaneously combust. i have never felt so restless and like I couldn't sit still much less concentrate. I have on more corp client to do before going on vacation. If things go well, I may even have it done by Friday.

All I need is to get my body working for me instead of against me. i want to get back to exercising and training for the Minnie. I may end up being a spectator but I would much rather be a participant.

Let's get a jump on spring and become healthier. Let's get rid of those excess pounds. Drink lots of water and eat healthy.

Morning All!! :sunny: :umbrella: :umbrella:

Major rain hitting the Chicago area today ---------- headed to all parts EAST. Forcast has us hitting 60 on Saturday WOO HOO :woohoo: :woohoo: About time :sunny: :goodvibes

Tuesday and Thursdays are long days.........not only do I substitute teach but I also work as a receptionist at the dog trainer's. So I am tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired...............

Nothing new to report except trying to write everything down that goes in my mouth.

Kathy - As much as you want to MOVE............SLOW DOWN and listen to your body. In the long run you will be a happier person. Your body WILL stop revolting and come to see things "your way" Hang in there!! :grouphug: pixiedust: When are you leaving for WDW? I leave this Monday early am and will be back on Thursday. Short trip but the prediction is 80 degrees!!! :Pinkbounc

Communicore - I am a substitute teacher and just finished a 5 week stint as an assistant in a Special Needs preschool room. I know what you deal with and my hat is off to you!! :jumping1: They are cute but can be quite a handful. Need my tummy to go away also!! Let's work on it together. Do you have your own elliptical? What kind?

Maria- How is the bike? Have you been able to use it?

Debra - NO MORE CHIPS!!! (My biggest downfall:):)......come on you can do this!! How are the girls?

Tara - The flowers are still shivering underground here :cold: :cold: They don't peek out their heads until the end of the month.......I want to live with you :teeth:

Schatz - Woo Hoo on the TM - doesn't matter if it is an incline or not......you are MOVING and LOSING!!! Have you been a mystery shopper for long? Have often thought about it but sound too time consuming.

Off to 4th grade today...........at a school I don't care for :teeth: I feel an adventure coming on:):)

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Good morning all. Thanks for all the kind words. I am starting to feel better. My head still feels like it was hit with a rolling pin when I cough or sneeze but my voice is back for the most part. It does lose something in the afternoon after teaching all day. I have been watching what I eat but I have not exercised in 10 days. I still think it would be too much stress. MAybe by Friday I will get back on the treadmill.

School is crazy becasue we are testing all the classes in the morning and then having classes the rest of the day. It is almost like two days in one.

Evita went off this weekend with only one person (one of the lighting crew) getting sick. Four more shows this weekend. 1 on Thurs, 1 on Fri and 2 on Sat. Then we do a benefit performance on the 25th. Many parents weren't invited to this because they are not associated with the local college where it is being put on. I wasn't and I am glad. I don't need to spend another $75 for a ticket to see it again. the show was wonderful but it is very sad and I only like upbeat things. There is enough sadness in this world. I like my art to be happy. (I also only go to happy movies and try only to watch happy shows, it is just something I need to do to keep my life in balance as I get older)

Off to finish testing.
Bye

I also claimed my new 25 pound clippie. I have also lost 1 pound this week and am only 1 pound away from onderland.

LOVE THAT NEW CLIPPIE Dona!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

It looks LOVELY on you! :) What a wonderful way to bring in March!

I'm weighing at Easter...hope to be about 6 pounds down by then...my walking will start out slow...I'm going to start tomorrow with 3 miles in the morning and skip a day then do 3 more miles...I'll keep that up for a week then try and push it to 4 every other day then go for my 5 days a week plan. That's when I really lose the weight.

I'll try and take some pictures of the flowers...it really does put me in a much better mindframe to see things growing..it gives me hope that I can stick with my walking and it makes me want to walk further to see what else is growing out there! :)

Debra...you'll get that weight off before the cruise! How has your attempts at walking been? Any other exercise? When I am in the zone walking if I do have chips/fries I don't see the gain...now if I had 2 days in a row of chips/fries I would but the walking really helps handle off days! :) You're still my hero! :)

I've got to run. lots to do today just wanted to pop in and say LET'S LOSE!!!

Tara

Hi Everyone!

Just a check-in to say that although my eating was horrible, I did spend an hour on the TM today. When will I be able to put this all together?!

Tomorrow I am committing to no extra snacks. Just for one day, I am going to get it right. I just need to see one day of success. Sounds silly, but I feel like I'm swimming through jello pudding (chocolate, of course), and I can't seem to find the focus I need to achieve my goals.

Tomorrow is a new day!
Maria

Hey Everybody,

I have to make this quick...My kids I see at school wore me out today and I'm not feeling so hot.

Linda: Yes, I'd love to work on all of this with others...My scale keeps going up and down. My Fiance owns his own Elliptical that I use. I have no idea what kind it is, I'll let you know when I get on it next ha ha.

I hope everyone else had a great day.

I'm going to lay down

Michelle

Morning!!

Will wonders never cease!!! It is actually 55 degrees in Chicago!!! :sunny: :goodvibes Oh wait I shouldn't get too excited it will be in the 80's next week at WDW!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Today I am an assistant in a Special Needs Life Skills room (4th, 5th and 6th). These are kids that are low functioning yet will have the chance to find a job when they are older. They are taught well life skills like handling money, they take field trips to the grocery store and are taught how to buy food, they cook, plant flowers outside and some academic work. Very nice room............I enjoy my time in there. :Pinkbounc

communicore - How old are the kids you work with? Are they behavorial or learning disabilities? Hope you recovered from your day :teeth:

Maria - How did you do on the snack issue? Instead of grabbing a snack how about grabbing us???? Use your fingers for typing instead of eating!! I know you can do this!! :yay:

Hey Everybody,

Well I'm still not feeling well...Came home sick today...Possible Kidney infection.

Linda: I work with 3-5 year olds with Autism, some with other cognitive issues (Down Syndrome, Tuberosclerosis etc) and one kid with behavioral issues. I've never been in a life skills class but I would think it would be a good thing.

Have a good day...

Michelle

Another 1.8 lbs. gone, 27.6 lbs. total, only 3.3 lbs till 159.9. Hopefully I'll get there with in the next few weeks.

Well. Many things have happened in the past few days.
A) Tech Week! One week from tomorrow is the play.
B) I managed to drop a chair on my foot and cut my inky-pinky toe on the right side. That was Tuesday!
C) I opened it up again like, ten minutes ago
D) Testing!!

Food's been alright-much too many carbs as the Snackies have taken me over. Water's been pretty good. Exercise has been very little.

Today I had:
B) about a half cup of Chili Roni from an "Iron Chef My House" competetion, one apple (4)
L) salisbury steak patty, roll, mashed potatoes (8)
S: 2 apples, two large peel-them-yourself carrots, one Ham and Cheese Hot Pocket (8)
D) Not quite sure...

Congrats on the clippie, DONA!! Off to study!

Good evening everyone. Let's keep moving forward and get rid ot the extra pounds and continue toward a healthier lifestyle. That being said, I am currently one of the worst followers>

My foot is officiallly in a soft cast. It is supposed to come off on March 28, after returning from WDW. The podiatrist said if it get to the point I can't stand having it on, I can remove it. She showed my 2 ways of getting it off. She also indicated I would know easily when I have spent too much time on it.

We are not doing this trip commando. We have dinner ressies for Mon with Erin and her boyfriend. Other than that we will play it be ear. I would like to go see Fantasmic some evening when it is warm and maybe see the Magic Kingdom parade and fireworks. We have never seen the parade in the afternoon at Magic Kingdom or the parade at Animal Kingdom.

Tax season is going better than anticiapted. I am working on a return that was kicking my butt when I left work today. Probably when I take a look at it tomorrow, I will realize what my stupid mistake is. Getting away from it for a while is unually helpful.

I have eaten enough junk food today to last the rest of the month. Since I am on a roll for junk, I will get a bowl of ice cream with caramel and nuts to finish the day off. Tomorrow is the start of another opportunity to get back on track. I have to make sure I don't creep bacu up to the 170's.

I had to have my ex stop into the office and sign some papers for my mortage. He said he was doing me a favor by signing them as his lawyer said he is not responsible on the mortgage according to the divorce settlement. The bank contends otherwise. He is such a pleasant person to deal with. Luckily I was a work so he had to remain somewhat civil. I proceeded to eat a bag of chips and have a soda after he left. I shouldn't let him get to me but knowing something and acting on it are different emotions.

Everyone is doing great keeping up with their exercise and healthy choices. I just need to get my head back in the game and get moving again. Exercise is sidelined until the 28th. Hopefully this will cure the foot and I can resume training for the Minnie on May 7.

Have a fantastic evening. Drink plenty of water, keep moving and make healthy choices.

Good Morning everyone.

Well I think that I am almost over the sinus infection I had last weekend. Between the sore throat and the sinus I haven't worked out in 2 weeks. I should be getting back on track tomorrow. I will be starting slow because my body is still filled with antibiotics and right now my body doesn't seem to like them.

The show has three shows this weekend and then on SUnday we pack up clothes so they can be transported to Monmouth U for a benefit there on the 25th. I saw the taping of the show last night. I had seen the show last Sunday but last night I really heard it for the first time. My ears were more clogged last weekend than I realized. We spent an hour last night working on costumes so that they would look good this weekend. We were concentrating on the military people and the principals. We have already done three shows but we still found a pair of pants that needed to be hemmed. It was really funny that no one had noticed it up until then.

Michelle I hope it is not a kidney infection and I hope you feel better very soon.

lovedvc congrats on being so close to the 150's. I wish I was that close.

Jen I hope you did well on the test. Take care of the toe so it can heal. Don't forget to keep up with your homework during tech week. My son and I were just through tech week and it was hard but homework is still important. Last night we ended at 11 and many of my son's classmates were saying that they were going home to write and essay that my son had finished two days ago. My son said that he enjoyed his sleep so he gave up other time to work on his essy.

Linda I live in NJ and this week is HSPA (High School Proficiency Assessment). 4 days of tests for high school juniors. Next week in NJ is GEPA (grade eight proficiency assessment) and then next week is also state testing for 5th, 6th and 7th graders. Next year not only juniors but freshman and sophomores will be testted by the state. NJ is the testing capitol of the world. I don't know how much we spend on testing but with all these new tests coming out I know it is a great deal of money. And what do they tell us? That the poorer districts are still struggling and the richer districts are doing great and everyone else is somewhere in the middle.

Kathy take care of that foor. If you need a wheelchair in DW take it. Just watch out in Epcot. As you are heading for the exit right at SE there is a slight hill. My neice sent my bil down in when he had a broken foot. Enjoy your trip and take time to smell the roses that you plan to.

I have to go and grade some papers and then get to the gym to herd students who are not testing into the gym to wait for the start of the day.

Dh had to work early again today...they have a big project to be delivered and he'd rather leave early in the morning so he can see the kids at night...so no walk for me! But THE GOOD NEWS is tomorrow is Saturday and although he has to work...he doesn't need to be there until 8am so I get a walk in...hoping no RAIN! I am having 10 yards of mulch trucked in today that I am going to try and spread...should take 5 hours...so I guess I'll get some walking in after all!

Slimfasting again...finally got some skim milk...so I'm feeling losing is the only way from here to Easter! No more "breaks" for me...gotta get it done...Git 'er dun, Git 'er dun, Git 'er dun...that's what I'll tell myself when I consider a no-no on the food choices.

Reading y'alls posts, with the injuries, travel, busy schedules you're still ALL FOCUSED on the GOAL!!! So say it with me...150's 150's 150's!!!! It's only a number but what an achievement when those words come out of our mouths...hey, I weigh in the 150's! :)

YAHOO!!!!!!

Tara

Hi Ladies,

Super quick check-in. Snacks were not an issue yesterday because I woke up at 4 a.m. throwing. Yep, not to be indelicate, but I was nauseous all day long. My total intake for yesterday consisted of 2 single serve applesauces, 1 peaches and 1 mandarin oranges. Today I am not longer nauseous, but boy does my tummy hurt. I slowly ate a banana this morning. I've been trying to get some water in. I sipped on one bottle all day yesterday. Needless to day, looks like the long walk will be tomorrow or Sunday.

Everybody hang in there for the weekend! I'm looking on this as an opportunity not to get used to putting a bunch of junk back in my body. We can do this!

Maria

Hey I had a CT scan last night of kidney's etc. Negative for a kidney infection. I guess thats good news but it still left me wondering what my problem was. I found out through the CT that I have a Cyst on my L ovary so thats one more appt I had to make. Tons of fun. What do I have to look forward to if I get all this stuff done before my 25th bday ha ha.

They are also telling me to watch to see if it's my gall bladder that is causing my pain.

So I am doing the wait and see what happens approach. So needless to say I won't be exercising until I feel better.

I hope everyone else is doing well. For those not feeling well I hope you feel better soon.

Take care

Michelle

Maria: Glad you are feeling better! What a way to lose weight!

Michelle: I hope you get some answers soon. It is so hard not knowing the problem.

Tara: So what's it like to have warm weather? I am SO ready for spring...REAL spring! Hope you have a good weekend. Enjoy your slimfast! I have never tried them. I like chewing too much :teeth: . I need something to sink my teeth into when I have a meal. But my aunt loves slimfasts also. Wish I could handle them. Seems so much easier to have you meal all compact like that.

Well I weighed in today for March and I am still up, but not by as much. So I am less than my last weigh in. I have had 4 good days in a row! I can't believe it! Ever since New Years I have been on again off again with my eating. So 4 days of good eating in a row is great for me right now. Just hope I stay strong and on program through the weekend. I do so much better during the week days for some reason.

Two weeks from tomorrow we fly to Orlando! It is getting closer and closer! It is almost seeming REAL now! I even bought sunblock at Walmart!

Well let's all stay focused and make this a good weekend!
Debra

Good morning everyone. For those of you in warmer climates, send some of the warm weather north. It is currently 37 here.

I went to the gym lsdt night and did a very limited workout. I have a soft cast on my left foot that is supposed to stay there until March 28. We get back from WDW on the 25th. I have th podiatrists permission to take the cast off myself if it bugs me too much. I figure I should leave it on the whole time so when it does come off, I can start training for the Minnie.

I did a little upper body stuff at the gym. I am going over again today after getting out of work today to actually follow the program set up by my trainier as longas it doesn't involve being on my feet for too long.

Need to get some work done. Tax returns don't seem to do themselves for some reason. We have to remind clients that we are jus the messenger at times.

Have a good weekend and stay healthy.

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Well, I said I wasn't going to be MIA, but it happened AGAIN.

I had an OK week, I was dong good until Thursday. TOM hit with a vengence Wednesday evening. Thursday, I got to the gym, but there was no way I was gonna be able to run, so I just walked on an incline for 30 minutes. I did that both Thursday and Friday.

I am taking a course to become a Travel Agent, so after I get home from the gym, I have been getting on the computer to finish up the SABRE training. Than I will be able to take my certification test. I hope to have it all done by the end of April.

Mystery shopping is evaluating places of businesses for companys to see how their franchises are doing. I did two this week for BP gas stations. Well, it definetly was NOT worth the money. It took me an hour to just look around the place and take all the necessary pictures, but than it took another 1 hour to upload the pictures and do the report. Now I now why, when there is about a day left in the evaluation period, they start offering shopper's bonus of $25.

DH is off to Florida for the week. So life gets a little more hectic here, especially the two nights I have to work at the gym. DD Taylor doesn't like it when DD Ellissa helps her with her homework, so at 8 O'clock, we will be doing science or social studies. Taylor has a learning disability called disgraphia, she has trouble with writing what her thoughts are, so for science and social studies, I type the questions, and she tells me the answers and than I type them under the question. This gives her something that she can use to study from during tests. So far it is working out great. She also has issues with spelling. She spells phonetically. This is ugly. Spelling is truly a subject of discontent. The teachers have cut her spelling words back and makes sure she points out the patterns in the spelling. The Enrinchment teacher also has made spelling worksheets for Taylor to get on Friday before the new week starts. This too has helped.

So eating has been good, water has been good, but since TOM I'm craving chocolate and salt like you would not believe.

Ellissa is at the Post Office selling GS cookies, so I gotta run to pick her up.

HAve a losing weekend
