Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Any hvac people here? Can the smoking section in front of the building get into hvac? My eyes watered and itched both days. My nose and lungs feel like I was near smoke. The smell in the room just was not pleasant!
The smoking section could only enter the HVAC system from the fresh are intakes, and they should not be right above that area.

It is more likely the filters have not been changed recently. There are also issues this time of year where humidity and too much moisture from the bathroom tends to give the rooms a funky smell. The AC tends to not be running long enough to extract all the moisture due to the AC running less.

It used to easy to set the HVAC to the heat cycle but with the "Improved" motion sensors it hard to leave the Heat cycle on to extract moisture. Does the CSR Tower have a thermostat with an Override for temperature range and moisture sensors?

I know that it is going to be 80 degrees there today but it has been below average for the last 2 weeks, and then in the low 70s by Monday.

Thanks for the input. I was in ranchos this trip! Thank goodness we moved to AKL! We are loving it!

Looking for some opinions, trying to decide between CSR, AKL, WL, or BWI CL. I've done WL and BWI, enjoyed them both. It'll be my mom and I. She is in her 70's and so I like the idea of the walk in shower at CSR, but typically prefer the deluxe resorts pools with their zero entry options. She loves the theming of AKL. Thoughts?

I prefer Coronado of those listed. Their lounge doesn't feel as cramped or crowded as others and I enjoy the more modern rooms. BWI would be my second choice.

My mom is turning 85 next month and we are heading to AKL CL in late March(Spring Break) to celebrate with her because the lady loves a good club level stay...so I can't speak to that yet, but we stayed at CSR Chronos Club last April and she liked the lounge space and the tower overall but really missed having a balcony(your other three options do have balconies) and while the lounge space and theming and cast members - especially the cast members! were phenomenal, she was very tired of the food after a few days - like two days, if I am being honest, and so was I. It wasn't bad by any means, it just felt really repetitive.

We love the Deluxe options at Disney World, especially when traveling with my mom. She loves all of the amenities and theming of them, but even more so when staying Club Level. Her favorite is Yacht Club(highly recommends!) but she is spending our very chilly, snowy CNY winter watching AKL CL videos and is so looking forward to it!

I'm staying at WDW for a couple nights solo in April. It's a pre-conference stay - my conference is at Universal's Portofino Bay. Last year I stayed at BCR which I've always loved. I booked a regular room and was surprised at check-in that I had been upgraded to CL. It was lovely! I've never stayed at YC but I walked through it last year when I was staying at BCR and absolutely fell in love with it. I just instantly knew I had to stay there next.

So I'm booked at YC in a CL room. Any recent reports on YC CL? Anything I should know about it? Is it as nice as BC CL?

These are some posts from our stay in September, they’re on page 2319 if the link doesn’t work. The lounge isn’t as big as BC, but it’s usually more adults than families. Most of the rooms have balconies. The rooms had a refresh last year. The food is the same as at BC.

These are some pictures of the rooms I posted in the Y & B thread in May

foolish-mortal - When you wrote "I booked a regular room and was surprised at check-in that I had been upgraded to CL.", that reminded me our own experience. We received a surprise upgrade to CL at BWI several years ago and were spoiled. Only CL for us now! That's "How they get you".:earsboy:

Stayed at all of these several times.

CSR is nice. We've never had a bad stay here, in fact some our best memories of WDW are from CSR. The food is pretty good and a wide variety. The lounge huge, you can always find a seat (looking at you BWI).
Cons are no balcony, micro wine pours (yes, you can just ask for more but why 2 oz!) and your room might not be on the same floor as the lounge. Also the pool is a bit of a hike and no zero entry.

AKL is lovely, one of our favorites for sure. If you like the food from Boma and Sanaa then you'll like the offerings here. If you do not, then I would pick a different CL. And of course you have the always amazing Francisco, and several other amazing CMs. Cons are, room is 2 floors down from the lounge and might be a long hike. Another con is although they have a zero entry pool, its where they play the pool games, so theres often kids blocking that area. Just makes it a little more difficult to use.

The good news is that you can't go wrong with any of these choices. They're all good, just each has their own pros and cons

Just stayed at both CSR and AKL CL’s over Christmas week and shared a bunch of pictures of the offerings, if you’re interested HERE.

I need help choosing. We have never tried CL at WDW.

We’ll be 3 adults staying mid April (DH, me and one young adult son). As usual 😂 DH has just decided last week he wants to add another night to our trip. Last night reminiscing about our only DL trip and how 3 nights club level blew our mind… DH is now determined to book CL the last night.

Originally we booked 5 nights VGF 1BR with our DVC, then added BW view 1BR for the first night. Now we’re looking to add a Friday night at the end.

Options, listed by preference on first glance (pre-tax prices I’m finding with AP spring discount):

Contemporary Atrium Club theme park view $1,184

Contemporary regular CL resort view $1,055

AKL CL savannah view $921

Grand Flo $1,319 (our home DVC resort, we frequently stay)

Wilderness Lodge $882 (bonus - one of the few WDW resorts we’ve never stayed)

At first we balked on Poly CL TPV $1,310 but now we’re entertaining Atrium Club which isn’t far off. Yes we are experts when it comes to Disney math lol. What is 5 or 10% more when you’re already splurging 🤣

I think we have it whittled down to the bolded. We’ve never stayed in the A-frame but have stayed BLT a few times. Always wanted to try Wilderness Lodge though, and it’s quite a price difference. I love Poly and all 3 of us seemed excited by the theme park views in CL options. The plan is to spend the last ~24 hours mostly enjoying that CL resort with maybe a few park hours.

They all shine in their unique ways, but do any jump out for making the most sense this trip?

Both of these CR options are on the 12th floor (Atrium CL) that is the regular CL floor. You are able to have a TPV from the Atrium Club lounge from either room.

Will you be there for Fireworks, if not I am not sure it matter to us which view matters even if it is much difference in price. We are rarely watching the Fireworks from our room since there are much better locations to watch the Fireworks beyond the MK Hub.

Ah that’s good to know. I was confused on the Atrium Club location. There are only 2 CR CL options for our date:

So it looks like the Resort View is 14th floor maybe?

And the TPV is Atrium Club and that would have us located on the 12th floor?

I heard the balconies are bigger on 14th floor. On one hand we like the idea of seeing sunset, fireworks and sunrise from our balcony overlooking MK. But yeah, there are probably better FW angles outside our room. OTOH we’re also torn between choosing the more peaceful top floor or getting the full A-frame experience, and if there’s any differences in the lounges.

Is it 2 different lounges at CR? The info I’ve come across implied the 14th floor lounge is slightly nicer.

Thanks for your help Dave :)

I’m thinking Resort view 14th floor might be the way to go. Still gathering details so my family can put it to a vote.

Not really based on the description it will be a 2 QB room on either the Atrium CL level or the Tower Club floor aka 14th (with no view of the Atrium in the A-Frame). The (2) 2 QB rooms are included in the general group of Resort CL rooms.

There are actually (2) 2 QB rooms on the 14th floor. One is a MK TPV room, and the other is a Bay lake view. Room 4915 is really a TPV, and room 4905 is a Bay lake view .

Correct with a bigger lounge but more guests in the lounge.

Correct. The food is now exactly the same including the sushi offerings. The Tower Club lounge is on the 14th floor with the large Suites. The Tower CL lounge is smaller but does have the deeper balconies.
