I don't post very often, but I surely am looking forward to meeting these great folks in person.

Ed & I live in Malvern, PA--near Valley Forge. Welcome to a fellow Pennsylvanian!

The great thing about this board is that we get to know a bit about each other (some more than others) so it'll be like cruising with a bunch of friends.

For some reason, I'm having a hard time finding light blue shirts. My son Kevin is a UNC grad. If he were still in Chapel Hill, I'll bet he could find some Carolina blue ones there.

Hi Nancy and welcome aboard. Mary we are being overun with these yankees we may have to throw a few y'alls on them just to keep them at bay Glad that the chicken fingers are still with us. They are great along with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to order from room service in case the tummy gets to growling.

Art how is the snorkeling coming along? I have to vacuum the pool today as all of the rain that we have gotten has some dirt in the bottom. 5 inches in July is a bit unusual for this time of the year her in Tennessee.

Stacey sold three of her pen and ink drawings yesterday and we went to Olive Garden last night to celebrate. Everyone had a good time.

Karen we picked up our shirts at Walmart check there. Excursions are to be booked soon. Kathy is joining the girls for the 10 am excursion with capt marvin. I think that Art, Dennis and anyone who would like to join us are going on the reef snorkel thingy in grand cayman. Probably just walk and check out the sights in Key West. Cozumel I haven't looked at yet. Mike

Papa: It seems as Tennessee and Germany have to endure the same sh** -oops- adverse weather: We had constant rain for the last 48 hours over here and the forecast predicts another 3 to 4 days of liquid sunshine. The weathergod obviously dislikes convertible-drivers this year

Hey Eric I guess that is true although I haven't had to add any water to the pool out of the hose pipe Yeah Eric there are 5 or 6 nurses on this cruise also.

Beth, Kathy and my anniversary is the 1st of September, but we are celebrating it on the 30th with Cathy, Art and the rest of the gang. Couldn't think of a better place or with better people to share it with. Mike

Beth DH birthday is Sept. 21st, DS birthday is Sept. 22nd, and DD birthday is Sept. 30th. When I sold my Mom's house in March I promised myself I would do something "fun" with my share. So I booked the cruise as a birthday present for everyone.

Good evening folks I wish we had some of the rain you Reb's are having down there. Really I went to boot camp, A ,and P school in Memphis and picked up the howdy, ya'll,and call my son Bubba. Born and raised in Philly but I feel I am a country, rebel boy at heart. I do have a question about the cruise in all this how/where do we book excursions early on the Cruise Line web site and can we book spa treatments? 10 weeks and counting! Hi George and Barbara, you should be getting a mailing from DCL any day now. If you do not let me know and I will fax you the form.Or you can call 1-877-566-0968 on July 30th to book.( I plan on faxing mine at 8am on the 30th!!) As far as I know you can NOT pre book spa stuff. BUT if you get to the spa 15-30 min BEFORE the stated time to book you should be able to get what you want.

Hi all-

Found some shirts at Walmart. Haven't done the transfers yet. I'll let you know how they come out.

Beth- Our 15th anniversary is October 17th, so Pete and I are planning a month long celebration, starting with the cruise!

We are heading to Branson, MO this weekend for a short trip. DD turns 10 on Monday, so we will celebrate there. Anyone been to Branson that knows of "must see" things, let me know. So far, we are planning on taking the kids to the amusement park, Silver Dollar City, and then plan from there.

RellingTwin--I love getting Disney mail too.I got my PAID IN FULL notice from DCL. YIPEE!!! Haven't received any excursion info yet though. Maybe tomorrow...

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. We are sending both of our DS's off to college this year and as a treat for ourselves we decided to take the 7 day cruise. First time in 19 years we have gone on vacation without our children. No sense staying home and moping about that empty nest.

We are flying down on Friday night from BWI on SWA (got one of the last buy one get one free offers,even before I was sure if we would be going on the cruise) but won't get to MCO until 9:30pm. I did make reservations at the Radisson as we stayed there in June prior to our last cruise, so wouldn't be getting there until around 11pm. So if I don't see you all on Friday night we will be glad to join you on Deck 10 for the sail away party.

Papa I see that you started this thread way back in Oct 2001, no wonder there are so many pages. For some reason I do say you all alot in my conversation. My DH was born in Baltimore so he is from south of the Mason Dixon line so does that qualify him as a true Southern. We live only 20 miles from the Mason Dixon line so we are not to Northern.

Karen I know where Malvern is. My two sons played travel ice hockey so I drove every weekend down the turnpike to Philly area for years. I know every ice rink off the turnpike from Lancaster to the Jersey state line. I can make it from my house to Valley Forge exit in about 80 minutes.

RellingTwin Yes, I am a nurse I am an ET Nurse so I specialize in taking care of a certain type of patient and see both inpatients and outpatients. I will email you my information so you can add us to the list. I did read pages 1,2, 3 and 74-76. That's a start maybe I can have them all read by the time we leave for the cruise.

When you get the list you will see a bunch of us are also at the Radisson on Friday. The plan for our family is to get thre about 5pm but last year that turned into 8pm!

Kinber..Happy Birthday to your DD as well! For those who don't know my DD and Kimber's DD have exchanged e-mails. They have a awful lot in common! Both have dogs named Shadow, both love the same music and they also share a birthday! DD is due back from camp on Friday morning. I can't wait to hear all about her week!

Twinave Yes, you got it ET Nurse does involve ostomy care/teaching, I also do a lot of wound care and have a Wound Clinic every Friday. Whenever I do my lecture for new employees they always make the OB/GYN and the NICU nurses sit through my presentation. Needless to say, my slides totally gross them out.

I just found out last week, that the weekend we leave is their HS homecoming weekend. So I think both of them are coming back that weekend, but we will be gone. I can just imagine the party that will be happening at my house while we are away. Oh well, as long as they clean up the mess I won't know what all happened. Better that way.

Welcome to all of our new members and hello to all our old friends. Nancy my wife Kathy is a neonatal intensive care nurse and she has been doing that for 18 years.

Dan and Scott wish you all the best on your halloween cruise and your upcoming trips. Are you guys going to be giving out buckeyes to the little ghosts on onboard?

Mary has DD written yet or is she just having too much fun?

Hope that the mosquitoes are not too bad this year around the pool at the radisson as we would like to see everyone there.
