I remember the hurricanes from when I lived in Massachusetts. Currently, we live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. So, we don't live near an ocean just lakes. - Jennifer

I was down in Fort Worth about this time last year, and boy was it hot already. I remember 90 degree days and it was early March. Too hot for me, I prefer 65 - 70 and a slight breeze. Of course, I'll "suffer" on the cruise this December too, just for my family![]()
We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge before the cruise, the week of December 3rd - 8th. So, I checked on MVMCP for our family for December 4, 6 or 7. I found it expensive (Advance Purchase: A = $43.62 C = $36.16 / Gate Price: A = $51.07 C = $43.62) in addition to park admission. We've seen the Travel Channel special on it and it looks magical. Is it worth it? Also, I know it is from 7 PM - Midnight. How do they get all the people that are already in the park to leave? That would seem like a huge ordeal. I know you receive a wrist band like EMH. But, you are still allowed to stay in the park for EMH even if you don't have a wrist band. You just can't do any of the rides. Just curious of the logistics. Thanks! - JenniferAnybody planning to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on December 15th?We love MVMCP and haven't been for a few years. That is very sweet of you to make that kind of sacrifice for your family!![]()

So, you DON'T need to have a park ticket in addition to the MVMCP ticket, just the MVMCP ticket? If we don't have to waste a day on our Park Hopper, it might be worth the money$$. We could relax at the resort in the morning and head to MK in the evening. Looking at the dates, I am leaning towards December 4th. Because, I can't get the discounted rate for December 6th or 7th for some reason. I read on Allears.net they changed it that they don't close the park anymore. They "kick" the non-wrist band people out at 7 PM. That should be interesting. Also, it stated you can get into the park at 4 PM with the MVMCP ticket. That sounds great, we'd catch both fireworks displays. The more I look into it, the more I want to surprise my family with the experience. Thank you for the info! - JenniferWhen we went a few years ago (three years in a row), our MVMCP tickets got us in the park, we did not need additional admission. At that time they closed the park, cleared it out, then let MVMCP people in and it worked well.
