Have a great time, Brack! ;) I know those women will keep you guys in line! :lmao:

I don't know about in line but they will certainly keep us busy. (We guys call it indentured servanthood) :lmao:

Hello Y'All! Sure is quiet in here!:rolleyes1 Whatever you do, DO NOT ask DH (Bill) about the Dallas Mavericks! That is a sore subject in our house right now. Everyone have a great weekend! :cool1:
:tinker: Jennifer

Hey, Jennifer! It is quiet here. Mental note - don't mention Mavericks. :lmao: ;)

We just got back from a Brewers Baseball game. It was a great game, and the Brew Crew is really tearing up MLB right now. It was fun with the 4 boys and my wife.

We're going to be starting the passport process in two weeks, can't wait for that bill! :headache:

I hear ya Jen! My oldest son and my younger brother are not very fun to be around! :headache: :scared:

Is this the thread for the Dec 8, 2007 Eastern Cruise. Where is the secret santa list. What does bump mean?

Is anybody else getting their passports? Now that it's not required, I'm wondering if it's worth all that money to get them....:confused3

I think we should, but I really don't want to.....if for any reason you need to fly back from one of the islands, you do need the passport. I guess it's just a good idea to have it.

Passports: We got ours last year, but we are the only ones in our group of 13 that have them. We have cruised every year since 1999 and hope to keep up the tradition so we went ahead and got ours. Frankly though, if this were the only trip we were planning in the next few years I would not spend the extra money. The others in our group do not plan to get them. There are exceptions made to the flying requirement if you are cruising and have an emergency. It might take a couple of extra hours, but how likely is that really??

Edited to add: We have cruise with DCL 7 times with birth certificates and driver's liscense with absolutely no problem.

Yes, I think we're just going to have my parents and my wife get passports. I already have one from business travel. I don't feel it worth it for the kids right now, and they're only good for 5 years. Most likely in the next 5 years we won't be leaving the country (we'll be trying to pay this vacation off! :rolleyes1 )

This is indeed the thread for the Dec 8, 2007 Eastern 7 night cruise on the Magic. Welcome!

The Secret Santa thread is also in this Disney Cruise Meets folder, you might have to go back a page or two because of the popularity of the threads in this folder.

Oh, and "bump" is just a way to move the thread up to the top of the list of threads in the folder. Posters often just type "bump" to move the thread up without having anything to post.

If we start getting more "chatty" then we might not have to bump so much. :)

We have cruised before and didn't need them, and I know they're not required yet, but I just thought it would be fun to have mine and my son's stamped. But that's a lot of money to pay for a little fun.

When I tried to convince my family that we should definitely get them, because what would happen if we missed the boat?! My mom (who will be next door to us) assures me, however, that that's what American Embassies are for.

It really is a huge expense (why are they so expensive anywy?!) to put out just for the joy of getting stamped!

Oh well....

We have been on five Disney cruises and don't have any stamps on our passports.

:woohoo: DD4 (Emily) had the BEST time this past weekend at the Gwen Stefani concert in Dallas! Since it was her first concert, I wasn't too sure how she would do. She did not sit down the whole time GS was onstage. She was singing and dancing the whole time. I was getting exhausted watching her. We didn't get home until after 1 AM. It was a loooooooooong night. I am sure it is something she will remember forever.:cloud9:

DH (Bill) goes to an annual Manager Conference offsite. Last year it was held in San Francisco. He just got the info yesterday on this years location. Guess where?!?!?!?!?!?!. . .

::MickeyMo The Disney Institute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!::MinnieMo

I am trying to talk him into taking the family too. The Conference is in September. That would be so neat if we could visit WDW in September AND December. Who are we kidding? We are going with him. I can be very persuasive!:smooth: Now, I just have to save up more $$$$$$$$$:rolleyes1 At least the cruise will be paid off by then. - Jennifer

We've had our passports for several years now and find it easier than using birth certificates.

7 questions to ponder....

regarding MOVIES!

1) What is YOUR Favorite Movie? (Or ... one of your all time favorites?) WHY was it your favorite??? "Blazing Saddles" it was a very funny movie that still makes me laugh

2) What was the last movie you saw? Would you pay to see it again? "Ghost Rider" yes!

3) What was the WORST movie you saw? (or ONE of the worst ones you've seen) WHY was it one of the WORST movies? "Exorcist" it scared the H**L out of me!

4) Do you plan on seeing any "new" movie(s) in the near future? If so - what is it? POTC3 and Fantastic Four 2

5) And do you buy popcorn and possibly other snacks at the theater... or do you sneak something in from outside? Or do you have another angle on snacking in the theater??? Both

6) Do you like to be among the first to see a "hot" and new movie... or do you just go after the crowds have faded? OR.... do you just wait for the DVD? We see very few movies and rarely go opening day

7) What (if any) scenes from a movie do you recall as being of special interest or recollection to you? The reasoning can be of ANY sort. Related commentary is invited here. In "Blazing Saddles" the Governor (Mel Brooks) says this line: "We have to do something to keep our phoney baloney jobs!" I use that line all of the time.

This time I answered the questions too.
