top signature for foodie for adult night out

    1. V&A's 2. bluezoo (tasting menu) 3, Jiko We've been to all of the WDW "signature" restaurants at least twice. V&A's a few times. After V&A's, the most interesting food, e.g. sriracha ice--frozen in liquid nitrogen--atop yellowfin tuna sashimi, we've had in/around WDW has been the...

Anyone eaten the white truffle at V&A lately?

We had the truffles two years ago, so I don't know if anything has changed. It's served on a small plate, shaved very thin. You just add some to whichever course(s) you choose.

Anyone Else Upset About Disney Hotel Rate Changes? What Would Walt Have Done?

I think I know what Walt would have done. At a quarterly meeting, he would have, after being told by his resort management team that average resort occupancy is 98%, asked his marketing and accounting team what might happen if, considering current occupancy, rates were raised by x%. They'd...

Just back: our incredible magical moments... and THANK YOU to some special CMs

This is a good example of the Veruca Salt mentality that eventually forces WDW to stop the "magical" moments, e.g. menus at Coral Reef, because people complain that they didn't come home lathered in pixie dust. :rolleyes1

    Horrible CM at POTC

This sounds like the typical Dis-entitlement syndrome ("We didn't get towel animals" "We wore buttons and nobody wished us a Happy Whatever-day", etc.). If you can fit into one row (you said , "We do not fit well in one row" then changed your tune to, "but do not fit in one row") and the CM...

    An Excursions at Disney?

On WDW property: Surfing at Typhoon Lagoon Wild Africa Trek in AK Fishing Outside of WDW--Gatorland or an airboat tour

    Wine is my guilty pleasure

I wouldn't bother with the wines in Epcot (Italy, France, Germany). They sell mass produced major label wines (a beer analogy--think Budweiser--mass produced, less than mediocre quality) like Banfi, B&G, DuBoef, etc. Stick with places like California Grill, Jiko, Flying Fish, etc. for...

    Best pizza at Disney

Not only is it the worst in WDW, but it might be the worst I've had anywhere. Via Napoli gets my vote for best.

    stressed about new fantasyland

Heavy drinking is more fun, and there's no co-pay.

    ? For Tour Guide Mike subscribers . . .

One of the TGM pre-packaged plans still lists an attraction that's been closed for five years.:sad2:

What is fair compensation for waitress drink spill?

Stuff happens. For wet clothing I'd expect nothing more than dry clothing (the sweatshirt) and an offer to clean my wet clothing.

A jerk in line at Rockin Roller Coaster

According to some on the Dis, every male single rider is a potential molester, so perhaps it was a Diser just being safe. :rolleyes1

    How reliable is the weather?

My Magic 8 Ball said that there is a 50/50 chance of that forecast being correct.

Best Pizza in WDW and orlando?

Agreed. It might be the worst pizza I've ever had. Frozen Tombstone is more edible.

A little disappointed with dining rooms...

I guess I was too busy enjoying time with my family along with the excellent food and service to care about the decor or table location. :rolleyes1

    Last minute injury :(

DS10 is currently on crutches and in an air cast after injuring his foot last week. We will be on the Dream 8/12-16. We booked snorkeling and parasailing on CC, and chances are he won't be able to do either. His next doctor's appt. is on Thursday, the day we fly to Orlando. We'll find out...

    Who makes 687 Red Lager?

Given its name, I'd bet that it's a lager.

    Who makes 687 Red Lager?

You got me curious, so I googled and found nothing. It must be top secret. Just a guess, but it's probably a re-labling of a mass produced beer.
