Happy Anniversary!Game on! It’s our 25th Anniversary today and we’re having a very small and appropriately social distanced dinner party tonight. I’m making chicken piccata, buttermilk whipped potatoes, asparagus in prosciutto, panzenella salad and a few different kinds of dessert. All the recipes are tried-and-true so I’m confident of nailing it.

Nope, no skewers, no city chicken. That's just pork. The skewers are the point of city chicken, so you can eat it like a drumstick.Eh!

Tonight, I had instant noodles, apple cider, ice cream, and a slice of boars head ham.

Ugh I hate that. Really I cant stand the smell of raw meat, fresh or not. When I was pregnant and my sense of smell was heightened I could barely enter a grocery store and had to stay far far away from the meat departmentexpensive buns ddint help, you know how meat smells when its not bad but gwetting old, the meat smelled like that, and I just cant get that smell out of my mind

We’ve had gross fast food take-out 3 times in the last 10 days and I’ve got groceries going bad in the fridge because I’m so far off my game. Come hell-or-high-water I’m getting home early enough tonight to put a decent meal on (white chicken chilli) and praying for the energy this weekend to batch cook some stuff for next week.For nights I know no one has the energy to cook I pick up preseasoned meat from Trader Joes, and make some rice and frozen veggies as sides.
