For nights I know no one has the energy to cook I pick up preseasoned meat from Trader Joes, and make some rice and frozen veggies as sides. We like their pesto genovese chicken, carne asada, bool kogi, and chicken shawarma.

No Trader Joes in Canada - I go there for cookie butter when we're in California and look forward to it almost more than Disneyland.

Rocky point shrimp...straight from the ice chests full of ice in Algondones. Not suppose to be in Algondones unless it is essential business. One of our neighobrs smarted off to a border guard ( cue Seinfied soup here) and the man behind the desk said...dental work is not esstential......so my question about my supper,,...actually two questions... what are all these Americans doing in algondones if they are here to be essential and what does that do to my shrimp....sitting in ice chests of Mexico.

Chicken shawarma tonight from a local Lebanese place. Went there b/c it’s delicious but also b/c it’s one of the only things that DS (2) will eat easily...go figure! Kid won’t eat eat chicken nuggets but eats Lebanese food.

I am a humus fan, though I only purchase it when it is discounted in the deli section... anyhow I saw this special on TV and it said that Australia is the number 2 producer of chickpeas....I was shocked for such an aird nation to be high producer.... anyhow fun trivia....like spaghetti Bolognese....who knew?

It has! They pay dividends, and when I make horrible dietary choices by eating there, I at least am comforted by the fact that I’m putting money back into my own pocket in some way.
Why McDonalds? I like to support our economy, I like their awful food, I like Ray Kroc and Happy Meals. I like the Ronald McDonald House...

Since I pretty much cook every night these days, I thought I'd contribute to this thread. Tonight we had homemade chicken salad on yeast rolls with BBQ potato chips. This is the first time we've had BBQ chips in several years, so it was a change from the norm.
