Try nongshim shin ramyun made according to the package, then serve it in a bowl with a slice of American cheese on it, maybe green onions if you're feeling fancy. It's a taste of Korea from the 1980's when American cheese was a black market item (who knows, maybe it still is). Soldiers would get boxes at the commissary, then sell them to restaurants so idiots like me could pay to have it on top of their ramen. It sounds gross, but it's really good, and excellent if you're a drunk soldier and it's 3 a.m.





Also . . . this city chicken seems pretty interesting. Will have to try that!

Never heard of City Chicken either. It's almost Friday and that's the oddest thing I've learned all week.

Tonight's course: Rotisserie chicken and some salad. Regular salad, no "City Salad".

because when it was invented chicken was pricey in the great lakes area, at least in the cities (turn of the century) , so they would put pork n a stick, do it up anyway you want, and the people in the city had there own chicken, (pork, you knew the term, it taste like chicken) but its a tradition that holds strong today, I actually thought everyone ate it.
