 Hi all! I have missed my WISH buddies this last week. I see you all have had some ups and downs and I wanted to say a great big :woohoo: Woo Hoo :woohoo: to lajones81 on such a great loss, congrats!

And I can not forget kudos to Harvest02 (you are almost there, keep on trucking!), miss missy, Andrea_loves_Disney and KimRaye for all of your losses this week.

And Mik, hang in there, we know there are tough times. Sorry you missed your meeting, but hoping you are having a great week.

I had an awesome week away and A LOT of eating, too many celebrations. I did manage to go to Curves at least 3-4 times so at least I did something good for my body. Am not stressing one bit about my eating the last couple of days, I attended my meeting tonight, went to Curves after and tomorrow starts a new week. This is life and I am living it the best way I know how, so for me that is as good as it gets.

Great work everyone, you all are so inspiring! Hope each of you has a great week and if you aren't, I hope it gets better.

ONWARD AND DOWNWARD we charge!!!!:cool1:

Finally a good week- I lost 2 pounds! I was so happy to see that on the scale after all of those weeks of 1/2 pound losses and no losses! Everyone is doing a great job- Keep up the good work!

Thanks to EVERYONE on here that has kept me going and kept me motivated! I can't do it without you guys!:grouphug: I went to WI last night and only lost .4 pounds, but I did get another 5 pound star(total loss of 10 pounds). I also received my 16 week gold charm! That is something to be proud of, I guess. I only have .8 pounds to go until my goal weight! It is so hard when the weight comes off so slow at the end, but I am sticking with it! No going back now!!!:wizard:

tiggerlover: Thanks for such an inspirational message to us all. I am having such a tough week. I haven't followed the program at all, no journaling, some exercise and not enough water. After 8 months of consistent losing and staying on program, I am REALLY struggling to stay with it. I am down 60 pounds and know I have about 20 more to go for my personal goal. I know I haven't given up but I'm just not following the program this week. I am going to a meeting tomorrow and am hoping that will jump start me back. I know I will see a gain on the scale and I have to accept that.

I am starting to see that this is life and I will have weeks like this. I have a hard time getting back on track after a day off track and then it becomes a whole week. Reading the motivating messages definitely helps.

Thanks to everyone! Congrats on your losses and hang in there with your gains.

I weighed in yesturday (Thursday) thinking had lost a little bit because I really worked out hard all week. My DH and I did celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on the 15th so we pretty much ate whatever we wanted. So I made an extra effort this week and I am continuing to this by walking 2 miles a day and than Monday through Thursday I am taking deep water walking areobics and water areobics. I go to weigh in yesturday and I gained 3 pounds. I am so flustered. I know it could be muscle build up but when I have a doctor like mine who continues to tell me that I am not loosing weight but to me I feel better and my clothes are fitting better he still wants to loose the weight. I just needed to vent I am flustered and in tears today it's been hard because I am trying soooo hard to keep on track. I am trying not go and eat stuff I shouldn't (which I would normally do in a situation like this.) I just need encouragement and some pixie dust to pick me up. The leaders at WW are great. I love them all they are really supportive but yesturday consoling wasn't working for me. Any ideas??? I will take any advice you give me to heart. Thank you ahead of time

As I have said many, many times before......any loss is a good loss because it isn't a gain, so celebrate! That 16 week charm means a lot, at least it did for me, it means you are staying the course, you are committing to you, and that is great. Goal is within your reach and before you know it you will have that silver star and then your gold key!

KATHINOWA, sorry to hear you have been struggling, that is the hard part about this journey and sometimes the most frustrating. Accept the gain, it is now in the past, look towards tomorrow and what you have yet to accomplish. We all hit these bumps in the road and with persitence we can perservere!!!! You have come soooooo far and you have lost so much, you CAN do this!

daisy2, :grouphug: it is down right depressing when we try hard, do the right things and then see a gain. I am no expert, but from experience it could be a few things, most of which you already named. Are you eating your exercise points and your flex points? I would think if your clothes are fitting better that you are losing inches and turning fat to muscle, sorry your doctor isn't recognizing this. I learned from going to Curves that you can make a difference without seeing a difference on the scale, as a doctor, yours should know this. When you ate out for your anniversary (Happy Anniversary!) did you account for what you ate? If not, perhaps you ate more than you thought and coupled with the above that caused the gain. Whatever the culprit of the weight gain is today is a new day. Hang in there.

Thanks tiggerlover. I am looking forward to tomorrow so I can turn this around.

daisy2: It seems like we're in the same boat this week. Don't give up on yourself and I'm sure you'll see a loss next week.

:grouphug: !!! Determination and believing you are worth your efforts is what you need. Forget the scale and the inches and all that stuff!! Keep doing the healthy things and don't measure by what the weekly WI's show. You have to keep forward but don't put a time frame on it. It is unrealistic to expect your body to change a lot in a week or even 3 months. Time is your friend in this. Think, hmmm what will I feel like in 6 months if I keep this up? I bet good!!

The weight gain happens :confused3 It could be a number of things. From before bed to waking up you can lose 3 lbs LOL so don't worry about it, forget that # game, if you are doing healthy things, that is all you need to think about.. not #'s!

SO please be OK. Please know we all get caught up in it and we need to pay more mind to living well, than a # on a scale.

Hope this helps.. now go LIVE!! :cool2:

I missed last week's weigh in because I didn't even get on the scale! I KNEW I hadn't lost so I didn't want to discourage myself & give up. So, when I weighed myself this morning, I was down 2 pounds!!! So, that's 7 pounds so far!! Congratulations to everyone else who is doing so well! I can't wait to join those of you who have lost 15 pounds, 20 pounds, and ultimately 30 pounds!!! My sisters and I are actually going to join WW next week, so hopefully that will help me reach my goal quicker than doing WW on my own. It's very difficult for me at work because my co-workers like to bring cake, cookies, and donuts to work. It takes every last ounce of will power that I have to pass those sweet treats up, and I can honestly report that I've battled that will power and haven't given in to it!! :woohoo:

:woohoo: Congrats on your losss to date!!!! Doing this with your sisters is awesome, what great motivation for each of you. Congrats also on your willpower, I have a very food oriented office so I know what a struggle it is!

Onward and downward!!!

Thanks miss missy,
I never thought of it that way. I have been told by others to forget what everyone else tells you and think about how I feel and such. So I am going to do my best and keep up on my WW mtgs and such Again thanks you all for your input

Tiggerlover - Thank you! And WOW! Congrats to you for achieving lifetime membership with WW!!! That's AWESOME!

I agree with Miss Missy...and my theory on it is that each body is different in losing weight...just like every pregnancy is different or like every child develops skills at a different pace...we each lose weight in our own unique way. Some of us may have to diet AND excercise to lose weight while others just seem to be able to drop weight by doing one OR the other. What works for one person may not work for another person. What we all have to remember is that our weight loss is not going to happen overnight and it will take time for each of us to work our way to our individual goals.

Don't give up...when you feel like you're going to give up, focus on how you felt when you had the will power to begin your journey of weight loss in the first place!

Hi! I'm new around here and am planning to join in this week. I have been working out for a little over a month now and boy I know what you are going through. I have not lost a single pound (nor have I gained) and its so frustrating. I can see muscles starting to form and poke out but it is a slow process and in that process I have actually gained half an inch all over. But I think you have to gain a little to start to lose so maybe that is what is happening with you. Also your gain could be water or salt build up. I know on weekends when my parents ***e to visit and we have to eat out every meal (there is no convincing them otherwise) that I put on 3-4 pounds which are strictly water and salt. I usually spend the monday and tuesday after they leave drinking water to flush it all out and I'm back to where I was before they came.

Doctors are funny people. My old doctor back home would be lecturing me right now on my weight - saying i need to lose some weight. My new doctors here on the other hand tell me I'm at a fine weight which I know is not right. You just never know what to believe when they talk to you.

I find its best to listen to myself and no one else. Losing inches and having your clothes fit is a great thing. The pounds will ***e soon. Just keep trucking along.

On a side note - how are the WW meetings? I've never been and the building connected to mine at work has a once a week lunch meeting that I was thinking about going to. I just don't know what to expect but I think it might be good especially since it would be so easy to go to.
