I haven't checked in since my last WI 2 weeks ago. We didn't have a meeting last Monday because of Memorial Day. I am VERY happy to report that in 2 weeks I lost 7.4 pounds for a grand total of 33.2 pounds lost since March
12th :)

Great job to everyone!

Okay, let me put my eyeballs back in my head....WOW, what an awesome two week loss, congratulations to you that is fantastic!!!!!

I am happy to report that I went to WI tonight. I normally don't go on Mondays, but my 4th grader is having his end of the year picnic tomorrow night(he will be moving on to the intermediate school, so elementary is over for him!), and I didn't want to take a chance that if I eat one bad thing tomorrow night that the scale will not be nice to me on Thursday!!! Last week I had my gain of 1.4 pounds, which made me really angry at myself!:sad2: So, when I went tonight, I had a loss of 2 pounds!!!:cool1: :cool1: I lost everything from last week, plus another 1/2 pound on top of that! It really got me motivated to stick to my plan for the picnic tomorrow. I also only have 2 pounds to go until goal!!!  One thing that always baffles me though is that I weigh less at night time WI than when I weigh in the AM. Weird, huh?:confused3

Yippee for you!!!! Congratulations on your loss this week and for being soooo close to goal. Keep up the great work and before you know it you will be sporting that coveted red goal clippie.

Buzzfanmom-:welcome: This is a great thread to find inspiration and support. The summer parties can be tough, but WW is a great program where you can plan and fit in most anything. It's hard when it's one party after another. Congratulations on you loss so far. You're doing great. The weight loss definitely slows down as you get nearer to goal, so hang in there. You'll do it.

tiggerlover-Thanks for the support. I know I can do this too. (this week anyway) I think I might just be one of those people who has to take 2 steps forward and 1 step back to stick with the program. I have come so far, and will not give up. I agree with miss missy and you deserve a massage to go with your healthy lifestyle.;)

drgnfly30-Keep up the great work!! 17 pounds is awesome!!:thumbsup2

miss missy-Time of day definitely affects your weight. I think you can fluctuate by 2-3 pounds during the day, and are up in the evening. I always weighin in the morning, but once in a while I've had to go in the evening and am always up. I'm sure you'll see a loss next week. Kudos to you on being such a great influence on you daughter. I'm sure that feels wonderful.

Harvest02- Sorry you had a gain too. That sounded like the perfect meeting. I have to write everything down, or I'll definitely be over points. I try not to beat myself up, but it definitely gets me down sometimes to lose control. Here's to a loss next week!:cheer2:

This is my third day in control, and within my points. I'm weighing on wed this week, and am hopful I'll have lost some of what I gained the past 2 weeks. Keep up the good work one and all. :cheer2: We can do this!!

Thanks for the good words!

Keep up the good work of staying on target- write down everything and you'll do fine!

I went to weighin today in hopes of losing some of the 4 pounds I'd gained, and was amazed to be down 4.6!! I was so excited. It also put me at 40.4 pounds gone since I started ww in 9/05. I think my 2 weeks of binging may have kicked up my metabolism a bit, and it proves to me that no matter how bad you have been, if you get back on program and stick with it, the weight will come back off. It's definitely motivation to keep on track.

Harvest02- Whoo hoo!!:cool1: Congratulations!!!! That's awesome you're so close to goal. Great motivation!!

luckywife- Wow, thats an amazing 2 week loss!!::dance3: Congratulations!! 33 pounds since march is phenomenal!! Keep up the great work!!

Thanks to all for your support and inspiration. We can do this!!!!

Yippee, Mik!!!!! That is FABULOUS girl! Congratulations of losing what you gained and thensome. I am so happy you are back on track, i just knew you could be successful. I am sure you are on :cloud9: . Weigh to go!!!

Congrats to everyone!

Another newbie question...
How the heck are all of you losing so much in such a short time?
Im finally down 6 lbs since late April. My biggest lost was my first week of 2lbs. I have several more to go. I do walk every other day 3 to 4 miles and I paddle Hawaiian Outriggers 3 days a week about 5-7 miles each day. Then I lift light weights 3 or 4 days a week. Dont say it's just mucle gain... by now I should look like a real body builder.
What am I doing wrong?

Ann

Ann, a few questions......how long have you been doing WW, how much have you lost and how much do you have to lose to reach goal?

If you are down 6 pounds since late April, that is about 6 weeks, which is about a pound a week, which is good. With all of the exercising you are doing are you eating any of your activity points? Are you drinking your water? Are you getting in your dairy each day?

Every person and every body is different so there are a lot of factors to take into consideration. What works for one might not work for others and some lose faster than others. Hang in there.

I joined 11 April. Ive lost a total of 6 lbs. I dont eat any of my exercise points. That would on an avg. week be 57 points then the 35 regular weekly points total of 92. But MY weekly points are 140(20 per day). I have about 10 lbs to go. I know that doesnt sound much to some but Im a very small framed person carring some extra weight that is not helping my back. I have bone spurs they found when I was just under 50yo.:sad2:

Thanks for all your help:hug:

Only .5 again this week. I know any loss is good, but it's starting to get a little bit frustrating. I knew these few weeks would be tough, but I've only lost 1 pound over 4 weeks. In about 1-2 weeks I'll be finished with breastfeeding and hopefully that will help. Keep up the good work everyone!

I weighed in with a loss of 2.6 last night. My total loss is now 15.6 lbs since April 23. I am only 5.4 lbs from my ten percent.. :woohoo:

Congrats to everyone else with their losses.

I'm new to this board and have just started WW at the beginning of the week. My beginning goal is to lose 17 pounds and my ultimate goal is anything beginning with a 1 - 4. Haven't seen that in quite a few years. ;)

I'm sticking to my points, walking 2 miles each evening and drinking lots of water.

My weigh-in is Monday morning - and I have to admit that the weekend makes me nervous. Unlike the office, home has too many temptations - thanks to a stocked pantry for two teenagers.

So....just wanted to say "hi" and to let you know that I've jumped on the bandwagon with both feet!!

Well I did better than I thought I would. I was very excited because I did really well this week. I lost .4 pounds. A loss is a loss. Right? Considering it's that time of the month and I lost WHOO HOOO!!!!!   I stepped on the scale thinking I was going to gain. But I didn't!!!! Yea!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I am .8 away from being down 15 pounds. Keep up the good work ladies and gents. My husband is down 63 pounds since January!!!

Hi! I'm joining this thread! :wave2: I've been looking for one like this on the DISboards (a weekly weigh in). I am doing WW on my own at home. I started on May 29, 2007 and as of this morning I have lost 5 pounds so far. My goal is to lose at least 30 pounds, once I hit that goal, I may try for another 10 pounds...but my realistic goal is 30 pounds. I don't want to set a goal so far out of reach that I'll feel like a failure if I don't reach it. I was 40 pounds lighter than I am now when I was in high school (er...20 years ago).

I've been eating more salads and staying away from red meats and I've been walking between 1.5 & 2 miles per day on my treadmill. I've been drinking water instead of pop. That's a big deal for me, as I am addicted to Pepsi!! :drinking1

So, wish me luck!! And good luck to all of you, too!! :cheer2:

 :woohoo: for you! What a great loss!! I am so happy for you! Yes I too believe getting back on track is key.

Bareacuda- I think losing 1 pound a week is a great weight loss. I've been losing slowly, and lately I tend to lose for a 1 or 2 weeks, and then go up for gain for a week or 2, kind of a 2 steps forward, 1 step back routine. In sept I will be doing ww this time for 2 years, and I have lost 40 pounds total. It sounds painfully slow, but I have kept the weight off, and for me that is a huge accomplishment. I have another 20-30 to go. The other thing I've noticed is people who have more weight to lose, tend to lose it in faster, and the last 5-10 pounds comes off slower. 57 activity points is a lot of exercise. Have you tried using some of them? With all that exercise, your body may need a little more energy, and sometimes that may increase your loss. Do you use your flex points? I've found I lose more the weeks I've used most or all of mine. They definitely help increase the metabolism. Hang in there. You can do it!!!:cheer2:

KJo719- You are right, any loss is a good loss, and they do add up, but losing slowly can be very frustrating. Hang in there. Perserverance and patience will get you to your goal!!

ucfsweetie82- Congratulations!! That is a fabulous weekly loss, and total!!:cool1:

daisy2- Awesome!! It's great to see a loss when you expect a gain, and be motivated to stick with it!! I love your winning attitude!!:thumbsup2 Congrats to your husband!! 63 pounds is amazing!!

TwinMom7 + Luckymomoftwo-:welcome: this is a great place to find inspiration and motivation. You're both off to a wonderful start!! Good luck!!

Thanks Tiggerlover, and miss missy. I'm still on track!!!

Havea a wonderful low point weekend everyone!!!!:cheer2:

Hi...
I really dont feel the need to eat the flex points. Ive very satisified eating what I do everyday. I know I ate alot of them the past few days. We went to Disneyland. Not a very WW friendly place:scared:
The exercise is not too much since I race the outriggers. Walking is help toning my legs for racing too. It not all arm/back strength.. you use alot of leg and rear-end too.
We have a hard training day come Tuesday and Im in charge of the BBQ. Our club joke is: We had a BBQ and OC-6 races broke out.:rotfl2:

I'll try eating some of the flex points to kick up some more loss.
Thanks for the help.

It really sounds like you are exercising a lot and not eating enough. My leader said that we should at least try to eat half of our exercise points and at least half of our flex points. You are working out and your body needs the fuel to keep it going. It may be worth a try to try using some of those points one week to see if you can kick start things. Worse case is it doesn't work and the following week you can go back to what you are doing. Best case you will see some results.

Good luck.

Now an unrelated question.....what can you tell me about Disneyland? Are there Disney hotels there, how big is the park, what is there, do you know how it compares to Disney World? We are considering a trip to CA next year and would love to add a stop at DL.

Hang in there, those slow times are frustrating and the longer they go on the more frustrating it gets. Just stay the course and you will get there. And .5 is 5/10th of a pound, which to me is a 1/2 pound, which is 1/2 pound less that you are carrying around.

ucfsweetie82, daisy2, Luckymomoftwo congratulations on your losses to date. Any loss big or small is certainly something to celebrate!!:cool1:

:welcome: TwinMom7 and Luckymomoftwo!

Mik. so glad to hear that you are still on track, that is what it is all about!!

I had my first lifetime weigh in (only because I made lifetime on May 31st, so I had to weigh in this week. And I was pleased to see that I lost another .4. So long as I am on the under side of goal I am happy. Next weigh in isn't until July, so it will be a month until my next update.

Onward and downward we go!!! Keep up the great work one and all.

I tried my hardest to count up all the points I ate at DL with all the walking we did. Not bad #. Walked for est.7hrs but only did 4 rides. Ate 30 points.
Friday, about the same.
Way off Topic.
DL is more intimate then WDW which is 5 times Larger. Some of the rides look different, but still the same. Splash Mountain, you sit single file, back to front. Makes for a great pic coming down the flume. Keep your left hand up and your right out to your side. You look like an "L". You can see everyone in your group.
Hotels: 3 on property. Disneyland Hotel(the oldest) Paradise Pier(next door) and The Grand Californian(the $$$$)but it does have an entrance to California Adventure. Some of the rooms have a nice over hang view to Downtown Disney . They also have many hotel within walking distance. From accross the street to several blocks. Hotels have a great bus service to and from hotels/DL. Now the new subs are working... "Finding Nemo" Very cute ride. It will be open on the 11th( on Monday).
