When I talked to a US Goldbuyer rep tonight, I mentioned about the price of gold going down, she said that they pay you what it was worth the day they received your package. Now don't know how they keep track of that or how true it is, but just thought I would pass along the info!

That's what I ordered for myself!

I ordered it from Vanns.com. The 16gb for $339.00. It doesn't have the software download but you can get that for $20.00. That is the cheapest I could find it.

Mine should be here in the next couple days.

How exciting!! My DH thinks I'm nuts for wanting one, but it's calling my name Now I just don't know what size to get. I think the 16GB would be fine for me. Though I like to have movies and podcasts on it. Do you know if it holds audiobooks as well? Enjoy yours!

How can you tell on something like an earring if it is really gold? I know to look for the 10K or 14K on rings, bracelets, clasps, etc but are earrings stamped or identified somewhere too? Seems too small to put it somewhere. Is there anyother way to figure out if it is worth sending in (if it is real and not just gold plated)?

on the studs mine are stamped on the stem of the earring and also on the backings.

I agreed about the impatient part, but the buy prices are just too different. We have almost 7 oz of 14 Kt and the difference is just too much. Hopefully it doesn't drop too much by Monday.

I would imagine it holds audiobooks.....this is my first IPOD. The touch looks very cool! I never splurge on myself. I am so glad I found this thread!

I sent another package out on Tuesday to USGB and I now I am waiting on that. It wasn't much stuff. It sounds like I will have to wait a while to hear anything though.

Goldfellow just recevied my package. Delivered. I sent it lastnight from NH... I dont' understand fedex. Maybe becasue I printed the label on Monday for 3 day and sent last night so it kept it's same deliver date.

USGB received my package on Saturday and I still have not heard anything. I called and she gave me a generic answer that they are swamped and will get to it when they can. I kind of wish I went to Goldfellow now since their turnaround is a lot faster.

I sent a package to Goldfellows on Monday - they received and had it ready for processing on Wednesday evening. A very nice person called to tell me to check on-line to verify. I sent about 12 (4 charms, 2 small rings, 2 link thin necklaces, 2 very thin braclets, and 2 medium bracelets) pieces and am receiving $155! I wish I had bought more in the 80s!

Yes, I used them. I sent them 3 rings and a bracelet (1 14K gold the rest was 10K gold) and just got a check back from them for $45.50. Not really what I was wanting but at least they are not collecting dust in my jewlery box. It looks like other people are having better luck with other mail in places.

They received your package before mine and I have already heard from them. I mailed to USGB on Monday and Wed got the call and a check coming for $401. I imagine they should get to you soon. Good luck.

sent my package to goldfellows on Tuesday AM and got my settlement today!! $244 that I didn't have before!! All for junk that I never wore anyway!! I sent 3 pairs of earrings, a couple chain/rope bracelets, a gold anklet, a chain, a charm, 3 small rings and 5 or 6 bangle type bracelets, 3 of which were gold filled so I didn't get anything for them. I was debating sending a silver anklet and I must have put that in there because there is silver listed in my settlement It didn't amount to much.

Thanks to everyone for posting about selling old gold. I never would have thought of it by myself!
