I just wanted to add something to this. Goldfellow also received & processed my envelope last Wednesday 3/12. I opted for payment by paypal. Paypal said funds were expected to clear Goldfellows account by Mon 3/17 -- yesterday. As of right now, it still hasn't cleared Goldfellows account. 5 days will be tomorrow.

Has anyone had any trouble with checks being returned by bank? Or if you've done paypal option, how long did it take to clear? I'm not in a rush but I just want to make sure I get paid. Know what I mean?

One of mine cleared yesterday but not until after 5pm. The other that was supposed to clear yesterday still hasn't cleared either and I know you and I got our settlements the same day. Then paypal is telling me another 3-4 days to transfer the funds to my bank account!! Why is is that when I need to pay something they can get it OUT of my bank account instantly???

I sent my package to Goldfellow last Tuesday, got the settlement Friday and just got the check in the mail today! $406.88!

I didn't understand the whole pay pal thing so I opted for the good old snail mail check.

I don't think the turn around was that bad

My payment from Goldfellow just cleared thru Paypal. Took 4 days to clear their bank. I received full amount. No fees were taken out.

I called them and they said that yes, they do buy silver...but they will not pay postage for silver they only pay the shipping for gold. HTH

My other goldfellow paypal payment just cleared and I was charged almost $6 in fees. However, goldfellow did say they would reimburse the fee because they had told me there would be no fee for paypal.

With USGoldBuyers, will they give you a quote for your stuff first and if you don't like it send your stuff back to you? Has anyone sent their stuff to them and said no to their offer and got their stuff back?

Also, has anyone sold any of their gold on eBay? I was looking at scrap gold on there and there seems to be some good prices going there.

I sent 3 sterling silver charm bracelets and 25 charms and was offered $39 for the lot! I didn't realize silver was so low (something like $20 an ounce vs $1000 for gold). Fortunately, right after I sent my package, I read on this thread (thank you poster) about the silver prices. When USGB called with my offer, I asked what the offer was for the silver . When they said $39 I asked them to send back the silver. I was thrilled with the offer for the gold however. Hang on to your silver for now!!! PS: I did have to pay $20 to have the silver shipped back. They will only send it insured, signature required.

i called goldfellow's yesterday re question regarding an old 1 carat diamond tennis braclet, broken @ a link.

dh kindly replaced it with a 2 carat a few years ago

the owner told me they'd only offer scrap rate ; said the diamonds are more trouble than they are worth to pop out.

i realize they are tiny, yet wondering if i'd do better elsewhere?

I planned to wait till Monday to send my stuff off to USGoldbuyers...but has anyone noticed that the price is really falling? Was over $1000 earlier this week...but now down below $960?? Ugh. Maybe I waited too long.

What to do with the price falling? Wait till next week for USGold or send today to Goldfellows? Any advice experts? I don't have a lot, maybe 4 small rings, a class ring and a watch.

Also, I know where to look on bracelets and rings for the stamp but does anyone know if earrings would be stamped 14K or 10K as well? How would you know if they were real gold? Is there another way to tell?

I used goldfellow & printed my own label. I put jewelry, packing slip & a photo of items with my name, address, phone# & email address all inside a zip loc bag. Took the ziploc bag to a FedEx shipping location. The baggie went into a FedEx cardboard mailer & the shipping label went into the plastic sleeve on outside of envelope.

(My .9 ounce is one broken necklace, a link bracelet and a ton of charms).
