Five 8 hour days?

Four 10 hour days?
or

Three 12 hour days?

My sister and my friend were talking about the Wal-Mart distribution center in our town (none of us work there, we were just talking) and I was saying if I worked there I would want to work the Three 12 hour shifts ~that's Saturday, Sunday and Monday 6pm-6am or 6am-6pm. This way I would be making full time pay and benefits and then I'd have off 4 days of the week. Some of my thoughts were quick trips to Disney a few times a year w/ less points for my DVC because they'd be weekday trips. And just alot more time off.

Both my sister and my friend said Four 10 hour shifts ~that's Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 6am-4pm or 4pm-2am. This way they would have their weekends free when other people had off and more things were going on.

We didn't talk about the Five 8 hour shifts.

So, I'm just wondering, if you were joining us in our conversation which would you choose and why?

I wouldn't want the 3 12 hour shifts just because they were on the weekend. My family time is on the weekends, so that just wouldn't work. I would take the 4 10 hour shifts in a heartbeat!

I work a flex week. I work 4 9 hour days and 4 hours on Fridays.

I can do the 10 hours but 9 is hard enough.

I used to work 8 9-hour days and 1 8-hour day in a two week period, giving me a three day weekend every other week. It was great. I had a day where I could get all of my errands, drs. appointments, etc. done.

My work day is 6.5 hours with half hour lunch. I'd love to work more hours a day and have 3 days off.

I voted for the 4 10 hour days since that's what I normally do. Sometimes I take Monday off, but I generally take Friday off.

I pretty much come and go as I please....as long as the work gets done, nobody says anything. There are some weeks I work 30 hours and some weeks I work 60 hours.

I like the Fridays off though. This week, I took Monday off, so I'll be here tomorrow. ;)

The past few weeks, I've worked at least one weekend day because I've taken a lot of time off during the week. This week, I'll have my weekend free - provided I can do the 9 hours I need tomorrow to make it a "full" week!
