Hi All -
Wow, this was the weekend to race! We had some great race results! Way to go everyone! Melr - I am counting yours in the great races because you finished when it would have been perfectly acceptable not to finish. You are inspiring!
They don't honk at me when I run down the road. Hmm, perhaps its your lovely shape that inspires them to make noise.
And they don't offer me beer either! (Probably because I would take it) I once had a lawn care man ask me if I needed some water. I must have looked pathetic.
Matt - There is not much past the Sandestin Hilton in the way of hotels - its all condos. You might check into one of those. As for Albany, do you mean Albany, GA? If the host hotel is booked then get busy and find anything in the area because there are not alot of hotels in the area. I think the extended stay hotels were new when we lived down there (4 years ago) so you might try one of those. And yes, I have lived just about everywhere in the south.
take care everyone!
Cecilia

Quick question for the guys! Why do men feel the need to blow their horn when I am (or any woman) running down the road???![]()

Hey Maherae and Big Vic:
Where are you guys staying for the Snickers/Seaside Half Marathons? Just made a ressie for New Orleans but not seein anything in particular that excites me about Albany or Seaside...

I ran 4 miles last night and it felt SO good, I'm still doing r3/w3 and keeping my miles in the upper 11:00's to let my IT band heal completely, and it was so hard to keep my intervals and not run more or faster. I think I'm going to keep it at 3/3 for the next week and then bump it up to r4/w2 and see what happens. We really need a crossing fingers smilie!
You got some great presents!!!!! Good luck on your interview!
Have fun with the
) Thanks for all the well wishes. I did have my milkshake for dinner last night--the only good thing about strep is I can have ice cream for meals and no one can say anything

to any newbies I missed. You've found awesome team!
to all those that got out and ran races this weekend. I am as always amazed at all that you do!
BTW, I LOVE trying shoes from RRS because they do free shipping both directions if you are a VIP and if you are returning a shoe theyve recommended. Ive had some great shoes from there that just didnt work on my very oddly-shaped feet and I really think I just was ordering the wrong size. Good luck finding something that works. I am convinced it can make the difference between misery and bliss!
, but my sinus headache is still there, just making me miserable. Howard was a sweetie, picking me up last night, taking me to some errands I had to do, and then driving me in this morning after doing the carpool. My partner was totally freaked out last night to see my car in the garage at 8:30, knowing how bad I was feeling yesterday. I am so fortunate to be so loved!

What an awesome finish and an amazing PR!!!! Now you know the skys the limit when you start training again. I hope your family gave you lots of hugs and kisses! So, how did DS do?
I am so glad you are being cautious with your pig training, and not trying to do too much too fast.
