Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend (Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2024)

I received a $15 promocard from Disney to use in the after party.. which I wont be able to make..

does anyone know pls If I can use it that day but not at the after party?

Thanks
It's a gift card usable at any time before Nov 10th. It says it's "perfect for use"at the after party, not that it can only be used at the after party.

So a possible change of plans now means our babysitting has fallen through and may need to bring my two boys to the after party with us (parents are sick, may not make the trip).

Is anyone willing to possibly sell their after party tickets? Would need two.

Just got my post race party ticket in the mail today and as usual I will not be attending. So I’ve got one that will be up for sale.

Ok you W&D’ers. I only need to know 2 things when you go to the expo:

-What does the Dopey medal look like in person? (hoping it’s not actually the terrible pea yellow-green from the reveal pics)

-is there a new Lug generic rundisney water bottle holder?

Remind me that morning and I can get some pictures!

ETA: wow I must’ve missed the reveal, that Dopey medal is something….

Why aren't the after party tickets setup as electronic instead of hard tickets sent in the mail? (And sent so very close to the event!) Unfortunately, my MIL passed away over the weekend; we're halfway across the country dealing with that, and we'll go directly from here to our WDW trip. USPS informed delivery shows that the after party ticket should have arrived yesterday. I asked one of our neighbors to get our mail and resend it here. Hopefully it will arrive in time. Argh, but there are more important things in life.

Sorry for your loss.

It does seem like a really dumb system in this modern age, especially since they consolidated all the Disney accounts into one login. At least you'll be able to go to runner relations and get a new party ticket if you don't get it in time.

If you can catch your neighbor before they send you could have them send you pictures of the physical card(s)
All you need is the numbers off the back to link it to your MDE account(s)
Maybe take one worry off your plate
Or I believe you can also go to runner relations and let them know you didn’t receive them in time and they will void them out and reissue

Does anyone have any experience with driving to the races? The map shows them using Wall-E, Moana, Dory, Hei-Hei and Crush for event parking. Does anyone know which lots are for participants and whether they fill the closer lots first?

There is no set lot for participants or others. They direct all cars to whichever lot they are parking. They start with the further lot with that the only option, then about 3:30 they start opening the closer one, buttttttttttttt - everyone parking still has to walk to the main entrance at Epcot to go through security, and after the races, they do not necessarily even allow people to walk directly to cars in the closer lot. Everyone still has to walk all the way back toward the entrance before then walking back to the lots.

I drive to all the races. I usually end up parking in Crush. The walk to the starting area doesn't bother me since it's nice to get out the nerves and everyone else is walking the same direction through security. Walking BACK to the car is a pain, because you have to walk out of the event area first, then you have to follow the people directing traffic to get back to your specific lot. I've seen a lot of angry people post-race who are forced to walk down the lane at the back of Moana all across that parking lot, in order to get to their car in Dory. I just shrug and follow directions because I don't have enough energy to get mad at people after a race. :P

I’ve been driving to all the races for a few years now. Almost always been in crush, once in dory, I think it depends on when you arrive and random chance. I will say it has always been very easy and extremely well directed with multiple lanes of non stop cars filing in and parking. I’d love to see an aerial view, it would be like a well choreographed dance

Also a driver - I’ve been in both Dory and Crush. My #1 piece of advice is to TAKE A PHOTO of both your parking lane name/number AND where it is relative to the start line and/or tree line. Because things look real, real different in daylight post-race than they did in the dark pre-race. Nothing like adding an extra mile to your walk because you thought you parked a whole lot further down than you actually were.

Other than that, parking is easy: literally just follow the other cars until you’re parked.

The app also has the Car Locator feature where you can note where you parked.
